Thank you! I started taking HRT at age 51. As I approached 65, my GP suggested I go off the HRT. For a year I was miserable, brain fog, poor sleep, feeling overwhelmed, extreme fatigue, weight gain ,aches & pains, HOT FLASHES none stop! Went to my gynecologist for yearly check up. Told him that I had stopped taking HRT, and I wanted back on. He agreed. It's been 5 months, I had immediate relief, 4 days in & the hot flashes diminished significantly. I feel like myself again! I only have positive things to say about HRT.

When someone says HRT is that just estrogen testosterone and progesterone? My wife is starting it and says it is making her gain weight but starting to feel better. Do you know which one causes weight gain around the waist? How did you find your right dosages?

Great video! ♥️. My male GP had me on antidepressants for over a decade (went through early menopause at 40!...runs in the family) am now 61, have seen a new GP, he (at my insistence) sent me to a female obgyn who did a blood test & put me straight on HRT! Am off antidepressants (never needed them, wasn't depressed!) and, now I feel fantastic 😄

After my total hysterectomy 25 years ago, i find myself with no HRT since my doctor had told me it would be dangerous if I took it after the hysterectomy due to severe endometriosis. Of course, I blindly listened to him no questions asked. After 25 years, I had enough (well I had enough before) but I got angry 2 years ago. I felt I was going crazy and my huge list of things that had gone wrong because of the lack of hormones had now pushed me on the dark side. I was suicidal. I finally found after talking with many doctors who laughed at me because at 55 I wanted HRT, all telling me my symptoms were normal and I had to deal with them like millions of women. NO. That’s what I said. And cursed him in my mind. 😂. I found a HRT specialist, a great woman who understood me, listen to me and said, we will put you on HRT, do some blood test, and start your journey to becoming happy again because we all deserve this. It’s been one month and I see a difference. The severe anxiety has gone down, the suicidal thoughts are gone, I seemed to be less forgetful, and I even had the nerve of wanting to start a new career (become a truck driver). Yep at 55. Why not? And by the way, I have many doctors I wish i could punch in the face. Many. i am actually fantasizing about doing exactly that! Thanks for your video. Cheers! 😊 Claudine from Quebec, Canada.

My sleep is never sound, my moods swings make me hate myself not to mention i hate looking in the mirror anymore. I cry at the drop of a hat and my migranes are Debilitating my life. I live in fear. I heard bad things all my life about HRT ,that you will get cancer so that was no brainer for me to not take it. But I have to do something , and after watching your video I have made an appt with my OB/GYN to talk about it. ❤God Bless you.

You are hilarious. I've been on this journey for 4.5 years and finally got the correct dose and patch that stays on long enough for me to get my critical estrogen. I have no uterus so I'm estrogen only. My hair was thinning, I had light chin whiskers, and I had a new allergy every year, before HRT. I told my doctors that I needed estrogen and they scoffed, told me it was "in my head." Best to go with your own gut and research. Glad you've had good results. HRT is life saving. I've regained motivation and stamina. Cheers

I’m 72 and just starting to get help. I’ve had Hashimoto’s for decades, so I always thought my symptoms were related to that. I was on antidepressants for 20+ years. Last week I saw a physicians assistant at my GP‘s office. She was not very understanding, rather cold, but she ordered some blood tests. Of course she had to warn me that hormones have side effects. A few days later, I got a message through MyChart saying that she had talked to a colleague and that she could not prescribe me any hormones because of the risk. I am livid. I have a doctors appointment with my GP in early July. I just found out my osteoporosis has worsened, and I am at high risk for a fracture. I tried to get a referral to a gynecologist to no avail. I am hoping and praying that my GP will do something for me. Otherwise, I may have to go outside the system and pay out-of-pocket. I am tired of not sleeping, being sore, no libido, etc. Wish me luck! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Just found this video and am wondering how you are doing now, three years later. Any update videos in the works? Maybe you're too busy now. I'm 56 and in the _lovely_ menopause. The various symptoms have been pretty bad. My doctor won't give me HRT (besides estradiol vaginal cream), but _she_ did give me low-dose Effexor months ago. I've finally just _today_ broken down and started taking it because the night sweats are brutal. I know I need to be on HRT. I see her next month and am going to press her as to why she's so against HRT. Oh, and I also have degenerative discs. It's miserable. I've had two back surgeries thus far 😣 God bless and thanks for sharing the beautiful scenery with us. Hugs, from sunny, SE coastal Virginia, USA 😊

Buy the excellent book of the brilliant oncologist (breast cancer specialist and former professor at USC) Dr Avrum Bluming, read it & give it as a present to your GP! Beg them to put you on HRT - and hit them with information: the 25% increase in breast cancer stated by the devastating women's health study (WHI) was based on old types of synthetic hormones derived from pregnant horse urine! This relative risk of +25% claimed by the flawed WHI translates into 5 instead of 4 women in 1000 getting breast cancer (so the ABSOLUTE RISK increased insignificantly by 0,1 or sth. to this effect!!!). Today we would never use these 2002 hormones because we have transdermal FDA approved estradiol and micronized progesterone! The risks of not taking these modern forms of HRT should be discussed, not the other way round. Arm yourself with information from the free podcasts of the brilliant Dr Louise Newson!!! Good luck to you and don't give up! My fight for getting my HRT at age 53 was absolute worth it (now 6 months on HRT and finally I can sleep again, my joints stopped hurting and my self-confidence and energy coming back as my brain fog got so much better 💪 🍀🍀🍀🍀 for your battle

Hi. Thanks for watching and getting in touch. As our bodies are unique, the levels of oestrogen and progesterone prescribed will really depend on your blood tests and your own body’s needs. I started out at 1mg of progesterone and 2 squirts of oestrogel but it has changed to 2mg progesterone plus the 2 squirts of gel. It suits me very well! I have friends who don’t need oestrogen at all and one has a coil fitted. I hope this helps! X

I am 37 and just went through ovarian cancer (Thank God ☝🏼 stage 2) As a result of that they have taken out my entire reproductive system and I am being forced into menopause (just like every single thing that pertains to being a woman has been terribly traumatic in my life). My hot flashes are vicious, I thought, like you, maybe I'm starting to have dementia (add chemo brain into the mix), in other words, I feel like a 80 year old woman in the prime of my life, just when I was about to really start living my life, since now I have finally learned how not to have my life destroyed by parasites and narcissists. Since you have to question every doctor and its really hard to know the right thing to do, I really really appreciate women sharing and talking about their experiences and also long term experiences, what is it like when you're older, does it benefit, is there really a change in wellbeing, performance etc. Thank you to all the women sharing about this, it is really very much needed and I'm so excited that there's a solution out there. 37 is way too young to start aging.

At 48 my husb told me I’ve changed . He told me I never smile and I’m always grumpy and starting sh** with no reason . I would argue with him finding faults in him as it was his fault . Then I started to feel a strange hate towards him and planning divorce . That’s when I realized someth is not ok with me and he was right, I was turning into a very nasty woman . So I started researching and after a couple of months of searching I realized it was the dam hormones .Hearing stories like mine from women who experienced the same it was mind blowing.Went to my GP and she dismissed me saying nothing is wrong I have long covid . 😂. Out of desperation I ordered some supplements online and some creams which actually worked . Then I knew it for sure I was going through perimenopause and I started to connect the dots : the heart palpitations , hot flashes, frozen shoulder,confusion and the worst of all the hate and the suicidal thoughts . My kids being teenagers , the age when they go through same hormonal sh** like me 😢, they need a mother . It’s been a year since I started HRT treatment with a private clinic, my GP was so pissed when he found out I did it behind his back 😂 . I have my life back , I love my husb as I always have and my kids have their mother alive. I hope all women get a chance at hrt so they can live with dignity .

Great video - refreshing & invigorating 💪 THANK YOU for your honesty and sense of humour! I would love to go on a walk with you, but I'm a 54-tear-old teacher here in Germany 🇩🇪 😅... I went through the same as you! I started HRT 5 months ago and feel it saved my life! And I spread the word 💪💪💪

i am 76 and have been on hrt since i turned 50. I was in clinical trials and loved it. After the clinical trials i had to beg for the hrt. Thankfully i got it. I take estrodiol and medroprogesterone. Both are covered by my advantage medicare plan at no cost.

Wow, you were lucky to have such a progressive doctor, especially 25 years ago when most doctors took the Women’s Health Initiative study at face value and just prescribed Premarin. Little did people know the study was grossly misleading in favour of, and funded by big pharma. It’s also nice to hear you’re still taking it into your 70’s. ❤ To this day, in 2024 only 7% of American women are currently on HRT. That’s a very sad and scary statistic. I’m Canadian and my doctor started prescribing HRT after my hysterectomy at 45. I’m taking progesterone, bio-identical estrogen and testosterone and at 53 I’m aging well and feel great. I’m not sure where you’re from but I’m just happy to hear positive stories like this one. So many women suffer needlessly and are ignored by their doctors whom they trust but are just unable to advise them properly or refer. The days of “It’s all in your head dear” need to be put back in the closet where they belong. 😊

The " feeling old", my God!!!! I hated it. In two months I gained 6 lbs and felt old. Horrible Anger, misunderstood, I felt my body was against me, glucose going high. Cellulite, lack of energy. I physically and mentally , visually changed in two months. Notice I was a patient of Ketamine and finished my course of treatment after 6 months. Two months later my body was in shock. I could not recognize anything about what was happening to me or even myself. Two very complex experiences back to back.

Came across your video, thank you, but wondering has your cellulite and tummy weight bettered since being on HRT.
@youngathart3754
@youngathart3754 4 месяца назад
Hi. The cellulite is exactly the same as it was, which I see as a win as it hasn’t gotten any worse! I have to work really hard to eat healthily and exercise regularly to keep the belly fat away. I am 58 now and still maintaining a healthy BMI. But of course, we are all so different and our hormones are a gigantic part of how our bodies function.
