This is why i love Documenting the progress so in ten years time we can see the difference. Nature always finds a way to reclaim and adapt, just take a look at the Great Central Railway that once ran through Woodford Halse, it truly beautiful and a Sanctuary for wildlife.
Also the reason it is massively over budget and the north of England is missing out, total travesty the over engineering of this section, a plain embankment would have been perfectly fine through this section…it needed stronger project management to say no, all the other railways round here are visible, this one is going to be as well
I can understand covering rail tracks to avoid having deep cuttings or where housing development needs to be screened against noise etc. But viewing the drone shots there appears no evidence of either. There has to be a reason!
