This was a terrific lecture with a thorough explanation of the usage of this grammar point with many practical and clear examples. I sincerely hope the Hee Hee will snap out of his laziness and continue to motivate Chelsea and Mr. Bear to provide more HSK 5 level videos.
I cannot but go is grammatically correct. "I cannot but go to this meeting!" 我非去不可 I really love discovering anglicisms which are clearly drawn from Chinese. This is one. "If ... then" is another, i think.
Hey Chelsea An awesome, amazing, informative, helpful, fabulous and knowledgeable video. Thanks a lot. Few doubts as follows Is it similar to 不得不 比如说,这么重要的会议,我不得不去 这么重要的会议,我非去不可。 What's the difference between both of these. 2. What's the other way of saying / conveying the following sentence 他要是知道了,非把你骂一顿不可。 3。 This sentence structure is widely used in colloquial too or just the written Chinese? Overall a great video Chelsea. Can't thank you enough! 加油 周末愉快👍
Hi again amigo the msg Is LONG LOL 😄~ 1.it is similar to 不得不.but 不得不 is more like you have to do something because you don’t have a choice. 2.maybe you can say 不把你骂一顿才怪 but why you need a different way to express it ?👧 3.its more formal but you can use it in normal convos

@@ChelseaBubbly Chelsea please refer to my two different sentences, 会议 ones, one using 不得不,another using 非。。。不可。 Do both these sentences convey the same meaning. 原因是因为会议非常重要,所以我没有任何选择,我不得不去/我非去不可。 对么?🙄
Gabriel well in this sense 不得不 sounds more reluctant because you have no choices. 非。。。不可is that you are determined to go to the meeting because it is important
@@ChelseaBubbly OK thanks a lot Sorry bothering in the middle of the night, though it is early morning in China. You are about to sleep or an early riser 🙄
