I am in the market for a flail mower and your video has been both very informative and helpful as I finalize my decision on which machine to purchase and what style blades to equip it with. Thank you.
I've been searching, and vacillating, trying to decide if I should get a Y blade or hammer style. Your video was exceptionally well done and explained. Only now do I feel properly equipped to decide. Thank-you very much for your video.
Thank you so much. We are about to venture into flail/mulcher land, and I was not sure whether to select Y or Hammer. I now do. Mostly grass cutting on horse paddocks, so Y is the go. Though it would be nice to be able to mulch fine branches after I have cut down a tree, instead of spending hours with a stand alone upright mulcher.
I have a little Kubota bx 1830 that came with a rotary hoe which it runs quite well. Do you think the cutter drum would run at a similar speed to a flail? You know what I'm getting at. Possible conversion in mind.
