You can use adhesive to seal the device shut. touch screen digitizer > adhesive > LCD. You can find all these parts and tools on our website- RepairsUniverse (dot) com

have you applied heat? Is there any adhesive holding it in? 5:00 into this video shows the step before this.

You should check your LCD connection to make sure it is fully secure. This could be your issue.

Even if the touch screen digitizer is cracked it still may work. You will need to replace the touch screen digitizer to fix the cracked glass. We have this on our site available on our site at RepairsUniverse (dot) com

This is an excellent DIY video. I dropped my HTC EVO 3R and the screen is broke and it has spider webs. The touch screen is working just fine. Now I am in the process to get it repaired. But i was wondering since the touch works fine, do I have to change just the glass or the digitizer as well. ? By looking at the video I think all I got to do is change the glass. Is there any way to find out of the damaged digitizer? The touch works fine is this the indication that its fine . Thankyou.

It's possible your LCD screen has become dysfunctional. Does the device power on at all?

Hi, I was unable to tell from the video, but It looks like the Audio port is soldered on if I am correct? My Evo is not outputting any audio through the right speaker/earbud/whatever is plugged in and I am trying to figure out if it is a repairable issue. Thanks!

By any chance would you have an idea of what might cause the four touch buttons to stop functioning and if there is a way to fix it?

I have removed the digitizer alone, but the LCD display is firmly resting in the case and does not budge. Pushing from the back flexes the LCD but it does not pop out at all. Any advice?

Question on one of the T5 screws on my HTC evo 3d is now stripped. How do i go on from here? All the other ones came out with ease. This one just stripped like it meant for it to be stripped. I cant repair it now. Theres water inside an i need to get to it

as it warms up and when the adhesive makes the display back to the re-bonding?

My HTC Evo 3D just fell into the water, Well, I dried it up. Now all things work nicely. Only problem is the display is off. Can it be repaired or should be replaced with new display screen ??? Please answer. Thank you

you gotta heat the back plate of the frame that holds the digi then you carefully pry it out

i have the same problem with the lcd display it also dont come out of the case so hard i can push it.. ;(((

Well, followed these instructions to the letter and my phone is now broken beyond repair. The video really should provide more detail regarding removal of the digitiser and screen from the remaining assembly as it's nowhere near as easy as the video makes out and this is where I had the issues. If anyone else is thinking of following this video, DON'T. Take your phone to a recognised repairer. It may cost a few bucks to fix but a replacement is a damned sight more expensive. Not happy.
