Google is rolling out an update, so the "entry" value may not be visible to some of you. This hack should fix that - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pv1E3UY9tFo.html
Hey, Your work is awesome, I never expected that such a automated form can be made using google form. Looking forward to see more such from you....... Thank you
Amazing! I encountered a problem though when using my own form instead of the template version you used in the video. The problem was that I couldn't redirect the page to my own thank you page after submitting the form. It just redirected to the Google Form page. I got it working by removing the onload function inside the and adding the thank you page url to an onclick function in the submit button instead. Like this: function redirectForm() { document.location.href="thankyoupage.html" } ALL FORM CONTENTS HERE The allows the form data to be sent to the form action url without opening it, and the javascript function will send the user to the desired url within the "redirectForm()" function. I recommend adding a function that prevents the user from submitting the form when not filled in.
My form is redirecting the user to Google's thank you page. Kindly tell me how can I prevent this? I didn't understand that hidden_ part from the video
Yes, I Agree. Btw I am a new learner on google sheets and apps script, I try to documenting my simple learning result in this channel ru-vid.com/show-UCuCFRM4818jYd2WdqX4QXDQ
Try this - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iwh9hePLjUg.html Use the long form link you get access to when you click on the send button.
Brother I have a TEXT AREA as one of my input in our contact form. The responses of all other input fields are being recorded in the spreadsheet, but the response of the text area is not being recorded. Please give a solution for this.
@@mojaffaransari8768 no man not yet. Even i am not getting the email id also. I have to separately check the auto reply mail for getting the email id. But no way I am able to solve the problem of Text Area.
Great tutorial, however can you please also add a tutorial for linking multiple selection checkboxes using the recent version of google forms as there seems to be only one entry code for checkboxes. Thank you
There's no limit on Google forms, but YAMM's free version is limited to 50 emails per day. The paid version can send upto 1500 emails per day with GSuite, and 400 with free gmail accounts(Those are Gmail limits).
Hello mate! Great work. Thanks for the video. I have one problem though. In date field, there are 3 separate entries for date, month and year in the Google Forms source code. But you have included only one entry in your code inside the input tag. Can you please help me with this?
It's simpler and richer than Google Form but it's very limited. Yet Another Mail Merge has a daily sending limit for the free version. If you have more than 50 submitted emails in a day you won't be able to send all of them a confirmation email. Isn't that right?
hi, I am trying to store data from my HTML form to google sheet. but there are some of the fields are not getting store like dropdown data, radio button data as well as want to upload a file. but unable to do. please tell me how I can do it.
Awesome... when I embed the code in the live website, it is not redirecting to the thank you page... however same works perfectly when I run the HTML file in local... Can you please help
@@digitalwoods Thank you so much it worked... the problem in that "the thank you page is coming withing the form space" can we reload my entire webpage once the form is submitted and redirect them to the thank you page...
@@digitalwoods yes it was ... thnx for the clarification...if you have any video on how to overcome with it please let me know I am using the Wix website.
We'll... what's the point paying Wix if you have to keep searching elsewhere for support. Better switch to WordPress, or plain HTML. It's not that difficult... mostly copy/paste work on templates. I'll release some videos on that soon.
Thanks you, very helpfull. It works for me, however It does not redictet me the web site or the page that I put on the code. It doesn't work on the source that you gave either. Can you help checking the code of your thanks page?
I couldn't replicate the issue, it works for me every time. I have also shared the source code. Try toggling SSL and see if the problem still persists.
hey, I was hoping someone could help me out here. I was trying to create a contact form that emails and came across this video (btw great video!), but when I try to redesign how the form looks with CSS, it doesn't work. Instead, it just looks the same :(. I also have an existing form that I tried to use this video to send emails to the recipients, but that also didn't work, instead, when you click the submit button, it records a response in google forms, but it doesn't redirect to the specified page. Please help.
If you're using my codes, you'll need to call w3css framework for the CSS to work. Redirection one is possibly an SSL issue, toggle https/ http in the link and avoid s.
@@digitalwoods I'm so sorry, but I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean because I am just a beginner. Perhaps you could elaborate on what exactly you mean. P.S. thanks for your response.
It seems Google is releasing an update in phases, so it is selectively affecting some users. Please share the link of your form, I'll check if something similar can be done with the new update.
@@digitalwoods Thanks For Replying .... Hey Please Checkout This G.Form .. This Don't Have entry variable .. docs.google.com/forms/u/0/d/1Ef5IDE8Z7Pgsw0Jifj3ImRX2E8SX1xF6eDU8hdyOU1Q/viewform?usp=drivesdk&chromeless=1&edit_requested=true
It's a bug...only omits email. I guess it happens because the email is used at the same time as sender address. I didn't really try to solve it as it happens only with internal notifications and I can access Google sheets anyway to check for emails.
This is possibly an issue with the Google form itself - technology.siprep.org/google-forms-preview-gives-resource-unavailable-error-message/ Test the Google from first without any integration, and proceed from there to single out the issue.
@@digitalwoods Hey thanks again for these great videos! I'm having the same redirect issue. I'm trying to embed the google form into a google site. I get the data in my excel but the user is not redirected. You mentioned that s were a problem, yet your code includes an . Is there a way to remove it? Should we remove it? Hope you can help. And thanks for your patience with this beginner.;) Here's the code in your template:
@@digitalwoods thanks for the quick reply, that's exactly what I did - everything the same, quick question, are you using Google Suite or your Gmail? Also - your menu options are different than mine. Maybe Google changed the back end? Screenshot: prnt.sc/sxhe1m
I get the action="url" - but i definitely don't get name="entry.#" It seems like people on the internet are complaining that entries aren't being sent to their google sheets, maybe this is why
Google updates every product least a once in month because they Take too much concern on privacy. They noticed this and Changed everything. Last time (2019) they haded Oauth authentication which was blocking this type Then they introduced CORS policy which another level blocking Then they removed entity.xxx fields in form What i am trying to say is its impossible now
It seems Google is releasing an update in phases, so it is selectively affecting some users. Please share the link of your form, I'll check if something similar can be done with the new update.
I assume you're referring to exit intent ( the form that pops up when a visitor tries to close a tab). That will require an additional JavaScript to pop up the form. However there are some free software that offers this functionality, we'll post another video showing the different options.
