HTTYD 1 Score Ending: Coming Back Around Strings Arrangement (John Powell)

Based off the official Omni-Music Publishing How To Train Your Dragon scorebook, this is a reduction of the strings section for Coming Back Around, from the ending of John Powell's How To Train Your Dragon score. This is almost exactly what scorebook says, with a few tweaks added for effect; I kept the solo violin in most of the cue and used it as a solo instrument in place of the bagpipes and sopilka whistle.

You've actually heard some of this before if you saw my video on Dragons: The Nine Realms! I used some of this cover as background music, but this video wasn't ready yet! The kissing part took extra time as the changing tempo wasn't quite ready yet, making the rest of the track out of sync with the scene. Have you ever considered making instrumental of songs from Race To The Edge? They never released a score for it so I only get to listen to the music with sound effects and voices

Well, I don't know any tracks from Race To The Edge (apart from the intro, which is taken from Dragon Racing, and I am actually doing a cover for Dragon Racing). And unfortunately if there are no written score sheets I wouldn't have enough to go off of.

@@FilmScoreandMore I understand. They didn't release any music from the show and it's such a shame because there are so many good arrangements of original HTTYD themes, and a lot of original music as well. I'm still a little salty about it even though the show ended 3 and a half years ago 😅

@@leahtheanimationfan40 I’m sure it’s good! I know John Paesano scored the show and he’s impressed me quite a bit with some of his other works, like the Spider-Man games on PS4/PS5.

Interesting video, I like these. Slightly off topic, but it kinda sucks that there isn't a great virtual Sopilka whistle as far as I know. I do similar stuff to what you do in my spare time, and a sopilka whistle would really come in handy.

I'm afraid it's out of stock now! I don't know if they plan to print more. I know a few people missed it, so I'm hoping some people will at least sell used copies.

I used Omni Music Publishing's scorebook and created some of my own embellishments to make up for the lack of other instruments. You could purchase the book when it comes back in stock. Otherwise I still might be able to help if you send me an email, available through my channel page.
