Loved the Welsh anthem at the end. Used to make be proud to be Welsh. And I'm from Southport!! We got a grainy HTV on the portable telly back in the day.

"Fiona" has pulled a date out of "its" arse again. If this were 1986, it would have been all about the World Cup final. The actual date is Saturday 29th June 1985, the opening minutes of Sunday 30th. I'm sure I've said this before, but I've always liked the understated HTV Wales version of GSTQ, for me the least worst closedown version of it. Conversely, BBC Wales at the time, though it also had a dual-anthem closedown, seems to have used a slower and more pompous GSTQ than network BBC.
