apparently it's canon bc in either qiqi or hu taos character story they say that hu tao get little trinkets and stuff for qiqi once they got past trying to bury her, but the little zombi keeps forgetting about it

Flipping adorable. I'm so happy I got Qiqi early in Genshin, as she was my little hero saving everyone else in my roster from death. Nowadays I just make sure my Hu Tao makes sure Zhongli work extra hard for every expense he forwards to the Wangsheng Funeral Parlour ;)

Nope! She feels deeply sad for Qiqi that she couldn’t rest peacefully and was resurrected so her goal is to give Qiqi a proper ending and seal her away so she can rest peacefully. But Qiqi thinks otherwise and is always running away from Hu Tao. Hu Tao realised that Qiqi truly desired to live so Hu Tao decided to stop and wanted to befriend her, but it was too late as Qiqi had ingrained in her memory to stay away from Hu Tao at all costs. So every time Hu Tao gets close Qiqi forgets everything and despises Hu Tao again

As Wholesome as this it, there’s a sadder part That being, qiqi is a zombie, so she has a incredibly bad memory, as a result, Qiqi will definitely forget everything that happened between her and Hu Tao. And Hu Tao has to constantly do this and put a lot of effort, just for Qiqi to forget and she has to repeat it all over again.

This is from the official anthology manga. Also in game hu tao character story says Pretty much what she says here although qiqi only remembers the first bad impression she left. This reminds that qiqi hasn’t had a character quest/hangout and hutao and qiqi hasn’t had any interaction in game atm lol

The VA's are so good the story is also good too. It almost made me cry a little bit because Hu Tao and Qiqi are so wholesome at the end. We need more Hu Tao X Qiqi. This ship is underrated
