I like the price range, the watch style and the battery life. Bought some screen protectors just in case. Don't like strap. Trying to get a wooden watch strap for this watch.
Wow, looks like the strap is a hit or miss. I like it a lot, but I have noticed that people are polarized - they either like it a lot, or dislike it big time :-) Perhaps very soon there will be plenty of options. And of course, it uses standard size which makes it easy to choose a random brand.
THE BEST SMART WATCH which can last you for a week without charging. big screen but look awsome even with my small wrist (other watch with this size of watch face all look terrible on my wrist except this one i guess the thickness is just perfect somehow to balance it all) i am wearing it every day with continue hr on. much much better than my wife's apple watch 3 which has terrible battery life and HR for apple watch is usless as you have to recharge again in the morning if HR is on for sleep track. only down side is you can not answer calls directly(apple watch can). but who cares, its main purpose is well served. and i love it.

I just bought the English version through your link. I am from UK and currently have Fitbit Charge 2 and was going to upgrade to Fitbit İonic. However, after I seen your video and the watch I changed my mind. The watch looks amazing classy and I prefer circle. Hopefully I won't regret my decision as never heard of this brand before. Hi, after 2 years with Stratos 2, I would like to share my experience this way. Yes, I like the look of the watch and the display, GPS features (Trackrecording, speed, distance etc.) and HR monitoring. To put it in a nutshell: HR doesn't work at all after 20 months, before with drop-outs and false values. Operating modus changed - let us say - once a week. For example: I very often use the "Trail" modus. One day, you get there with 2 clicks, the other day searching with about 10 clicks, next day it takes 5 minutes and you find it by chance, or you leave it alone, waiting for next week and it will be fine again. At present, I try to find the reset button, hoping this will fix the HR blackout. No chance. My display is quite different from that of the others, after clicking the menue buttons. I expect that such a device will last longer than 24 months, when guarantee is just running out.
Oh, that's very sad to read and I am so sorry yours failed. There doesn't seem to be a reset button. You may try some more factory resets but that likely won't help much.

i already have the older version, and it's so amaazing, but not like this version, this is still not recomended for swimming... but since i have it last year, i am very2 satisfied for this amazfit watvh

latest firmware update makes my Pace operate just like Stratos. 2 months of use and I also have Fenix 3 HR, and i testify it is poor man's Garmin Fenixes, and at certain area beat the Garmin.
Wish it had an exercise or basic workout function like the verge. If your doing weight training or other aerobic activity it doesn't have a category for it.
I believe that both watches are designed for different kind of usage: the Amazfit is clearly more sporty, while the Gear S3 is on the Android Wear side. After having used transflective display, I cannot imagine using any other kind of display for a watch.
Hi Jonny, you can have real-time information about it, however no graph with prolonged usage (guess you are looking for something similar to what some Garmin devices can do).

Hi Rosako, just to confirm that even after such a long time this is the watch I wear every day :-) Last time I've tried the continuous heartrate it managed to provide 4-5 days battery life.
In comparison with gear s3, what you think? I bought the s3 but thinking of returning and getting this one but no Android wear is a let down for me. Tizen and Samsung better than this proprietary Chinese software I guess? but this one has VO2Max which is a great advantage! what you think?
If you drive in your car does it count as steps? Does it knows when you walk or when you drive? I use a weloop 3s, really love it mainly for swimming but when driving about 20km it counts around 3000 steps.

No one wants to hear music. Just your voice. Don't try and compete with other RU-vidrs by trying to sound hip. Just provide honest info and scrap the annoying music.
Nice presentation 👌. Can this watch support track following? If there is GPS I assume maybe it can. You put track inside and see if you are on track. Or to record new track when you walking

Hi John, I will check about the email. There is no option to reply. Currently the sync is only with the Amazfit app an servers, but I believe google fit sync will arrive soon. There is an option to sync with the MiFit app, from which the data can be sent to google fit, but that seems to be overcomplicated.
tech4all Thanks Michael. I briefly owned the Amazfit Pace. When I had it you could only see the first line of any notification. You could also only see your steps on the watch not on the app. I hope they have made things better with this second version. I appreciate your help
John, since yesterday I am reading the notifications - it is the same with the emails. Other types of messages seem to be better shown, but for the emails that is quite a pity...
FOr new buyers, be aware that the HR sensor glass becomes loose under a lot of heat, (the glue becomes soft and the glass falls off) then sweat enters through. THe HR sensor shorts out and the battery drains. SO when you buy it, make sure to add some sealant glue on the edges of the HR sensor glass. Amazfit won't repair the watch. If your are still under warranty, they will give you a new watch.
Thanks Rob, a good point that you add. I haven't used the first generation yet, and from what I see from the reviews, the main difference is the reflective display. It is not reflective on the gen 1, is that correct?
I have one too. I feel after the last watch update in 2017, the battery life has been compromised. They did release another update which seemingly fixed it. But be weary of updating the software if everything is just working for you. The is no incentive to get this watch if you have the 1 gen. Looks identical. If Xiaomi comes with one with android wear then that is a different story.

The main drawbacks with these brands is the inaccuracy of the heart rate monitor. If I am buying a fitness watch with HRM, I want it to be as accurate as it comes especially when working out.
LuchoGrafiix, I prefer not to give opinion about the Ticwatch, because I have never had the chance owning or testing one. Sometimes what you seen online is slightly different from the actual product in terms of perception and feeling. The Amazfit Stratos is great, but - just from initial impressions - the Ticwatch is very solid!
Tech4All can you tell us now after you add the ticwatch? I am in same conflict. Amazfit 2 or ticwwatch e. I don't do sport. I need for notification. So android wear is best, right? But I see people saying the tic watch no battery is good for even 1 day.
Features that I want : GPS tracking road for hiking high mountains, altitude, temperature, km walked, long battery life for long trek : all to survive in mountains for a week minimum !

Oh, it is suitable for hiking! But the battery won't last for a week if GPS is used. I am working on some comparison videos right now. Trying to find a good time slot for those. As for the Amazfit 1 - it really isn't that different, and there are plenty of reviews of both side by side already.
You are correct. And on 3:48 I have played the info-bar indicating this. ANd that is noted in the description, as well as on our website. In fact I also was unaware about this at the very beginning. Overall even the tempered glass is quite scratch resistant - my usage type is quite intensive.

Hey, thanks a lot for the kind words! Likely the Chinese version will be the more affordable choice. And the customized ROM is based on the stock, and is stable enough. It was just yesterday that I start to notice minor lag, which was caused by a few things working together. But there is a task manager and you can quickly fix that :D These are early builds and in time it will get only better. So yeah - I believe you can order the Chinese version and use it. Likely the more important choice will e 2 or 2s - the S-model has Sapphire and leather strap too.

Diddy Fortyseven , *it can be operated by using the buttons. As of now, built-in watch faces are just few but you can customize them or make your own custom made using Fabio's site. Apps are just the built in one's like running, etc... You can install some modified apps bud it's too limited. *Yes all notifications can be chosen. You can also see incoming call *No idea about alipay. * You can use it for swimming under 30 meters. *Your can also play and control music from your phone.

Yeah, I am planning to try a Zeblaze. But I am quite sure that they are different. This one has transflective display - a huge advantage. And has a well polished OS. Zeblaze often rely on heavily modified uncertified Android, which is not that cool.
Sorry if this sounds like a silly question- I have never had a smartwatch before or played with one in real life. Can you have custom watch faces on this one using an app?
You ca have a lot of custom watch faces - they simply need to be copied to the watch's storage and that's it. There is a nice facebook group for Amazfit Owners and I've seen a lot there

Yoo man, how are you doing :)? Thanks a lot for the kind words! Today I finally received the preordered Mavic air, and it still thinks it is in China (which is equal to FCC mode). And There is no longer cancel button, but choosing the back button keeps the FCC mode on. And it is the latest version of the DJI Go app. So yeah - the hack works. There is even an easier version that I will post for the mavic air - just using the Fake GPS app - it will be good enough. The latest version of the DJI go app brings some goodies, but is much heavier than what I remember from 4.1.8. And at the end - I thought you are using an iPhone. Did you switch to something else or I got it wrong somewhere?

It was right about time to get more, and I am sure that you will very quickly gain popularity. All of your videos are professional and your production is up to par with many trendy channels! You know that if there is something I may do to help you - consider it done. For the app. Errrr - this is a fight I have in myself. I don't like to update apps, but I had to, because the older DJI Go 4 is unaware of the existence of the Air. But since you have an iPhone - go for the latest one. DJI software works much better on iOS and is much better optimized. And most of the people with iPhone usually say the FCC mode works fine with latest versions :-)

You are not wrong about Wear OS - there is luckily NO wear OS. Last two weeks I was testing another wear-OS based device and ... The only really useful feature of wearos is the Google Maps integration. It is slow, laggy, with not too great navigation and horrible battery life. In that sense - having no wearOS here is an advantage in my opinion. And sports functions are way better than on most of WearOS devices. There are of course some features that are missing - no keyboard, no google maps, no mic, no phone calls possibility.
The subjected item is “Amazfit Stratos” which the issue had encountered approximately after 6 months of normal use. The issue was what I least expected since the product was especially known as a highly durable product. The back glass of the watch (under the Heart rate sensor) had dismounted from the watch without any impact. This has happened while I was wearing the watch & without my knowledge. Sametime the light rays (or light source) that are used to monitor HR, had wounded my wrist leaving a doubt that, "are these products safe to wear". The product seller & #Amazfit support team refused to claim the warranty saying that it is a physical damage, which is not. ultimately it leaves me a broken watch without heart rate sensing & with a broken airtight seal (which the specification says it can withstand 5 ATM underwater). Even the #Amazfit support team will not take responsibility for their faulty products. I presume that you should buy Amazfit products at your own risk.
Pretty much the same happened to a friend of mine. Few months later - the charging connectors got melted :( Pretty sad - and looks like there has been a batch affected. You might be able to, but even if you do - there won't be much of use, as there is no software keyboard. If you are looking for a device with google Maps support - check TicWatch devices.

Hi Tech4all can u advise pls, I just got my stratos (Chinese version)and trying to pair it to my iPhone but it always fails when I scan the QR CODE on the screen of stratos message that pears says: “Scan failed, Please scan the QR code on Amazfit watch”. Base on watching all the reviewers of this watch all u guys uses android phone. Do u know if stratos is compatible for iOS tho? Thanks in advance
Hi Nino, Sure, it is compatible! I just am not sure whether the app supports the chinese version. Originally the official app was talking only to the Pace (v1), but now it is updated and recognizes the CHinese version too. I am watching these reviews since last month and I was waiting for the English version and you made the video, excellent but if you talk about watch amazing all features but I thing I don't understand why they ate not doing it is a camera.?? What's the reason can you explain it plz? Thanks
A camera in the watch? I believe they didn't include one mostly because they want to keep a lower price. And overall - a camera in a watch may not be as good as one in a smartphone because of the processing power.
I have bought amafit stratos today. It seems charging all the time. How can I understand it's charged fully. Because 100 showing all the time during charging . Not showing charged. Why is that. However amazing watch. Another issue is , to monitoring my sleep. Do I have to wear it during sleep. Please inform me. As you are specialist.
Hi Ziaul - I am far away from being a specialist, just a passionate enthusiast. When it shows 100%, then it is charged. Just take it off the charger. As for sleeping - yes, you will have to wear it :-)

Think about the purpose - if it is mostly about software - the Ticwatch, because it is Wear OS based. If it is mostly abour sports - the Amazfit is way better.
I like this better than the Stratos3. Is the the screen size of 1.34 inch including the inner bezel with the minutes permanently marked on it or not? Many thanks my Bulgarian friend. I have to get a watch before next week or my wife will steal my birthday present money back and buy shoes for herself. Lol
The 1.34 inch size is the visible screen part. And it is true - the watch is brilliant. We have to admit that the Stratos 3 works a little faster, but this remains a wonderful solution!

I have the English version, same watchface on your post. But i noticed that the RED color on my watch is light red, like pink compared to your watchface is really RED. How to adjust it to make it really RED not pink.
I am not sure this is possible. Could be because of the video - maybe if we put them side by side they will look the same way. I have done zero customizations at the time the review was shot.

Yes, you are right. This is why I have posted this flyer saying that the 2S has Sapphire. When I was recording the voice, I was in fact unaware about the sapphire vs tempered glass and that's why at the end it remained with only the note on 3:50 :-) Thank you very much for highlighting this - I am always trying to make my videos as accurate as possible and am sorry if that brought misunderstanding. tech4all thanks and don't be worry, your video is a very good one ! So, i have the amazfit pace more than six month and i'm very happy with it. I'm interested by the stratos 2+ but only if the price down....the top, will be a third version with a full round, more translate language and a good magnetic charger or induction charge. A watch like this, under 200$, Samsung and apple could be afraid ;)
If you have the Pace, then better wait for the next gen :-) The Stratos is the Pace in a newer design, but feature-wise they are quite similar. I hope Xiaomi is already working on a newer model.
If you like bulky watches, then you will believe the strap is weak. Ever since I got the watch (maybe a month before publishing this review) I am using it absolutely every day (except when not sleeping). So far I have no scratches, damages or whatsoever. The strap is something I totally love, because I easily get skin irritations by straps done of non-skin-friendly materials. It is thinner than Casios and look to be not as strong as the Garmin Fenix 5 (Fenix 5 has larger pin while the amazfit has standard sized pin). But It never failed me during sport activities. Still - you know best the type of actions you usually go through, and my type of usage may significantly differ.
It is in the phone settings; As for extra apps - officially no. But there are ways to run WearOS apps if you sideload them and if the hardware supports them.

Hi Sriharsha, I was wondering bout the very same thing and decided not to buy any. I used to have a sports watch with plastic cover for almost an year and it didn't get too many scratches. So I decided not to get any and so far the screen is intact. We'll see how it goes after an year :D
It is the Chinese model with english rom. Now there is the international rom available and you can make the chinese to be working with the international ROM. There will be no difference between both :-)
Hi Belmar - I can see a lot of people considering an upgrade and deciding not to because of the similar hardware. And that is very true - on the inside there is a LOT in common. So yeah - maybe waiting till Gen 3 is a good idea.
They have been silent lately. Feels like there will be a delay of the initially planed launch (I've heard they were targeting 20th march, and I don't know about a new date)
A simple piece of advice from a tech reviews aficionado: cut all the bla bla... I had to wait until 1:40 into the video for the actual review to start! Boring, but I subscribed, I hope you'll change this single flaw, as the rest is gold.
