Feel for you, had 2 of these on Three, they constantly need resetting using the pin hole on the bottom. Decent when they work, but a nightmare in the long run. You can use an external antenna, we had line of sight to a 5g mast, so purchased an official external antenna dish (it's square, but I don't know what else to call it, lol) then pointed it straight at the 5g mast. 1gbps when it worked, big improvement on our hard line at the time, which was just 12mbps!!! But honestly, they still work well when placed in a window, on the side of the building closest to your nearest 5g mast, and just using the internal antennas. Be interested in seeing how fast yours runs in the hallway, as both of ours were quite insistent on being in a window facing the antenna to get anything above 400mbps. Oh and it's root-er, as in the British pronunciation of route... Other pronunciation is American English. :)
