If it weren’t for the ban Huawei would be my number 1 phone pick. Their phones provide such a great user experience and their cameras are ridiculously amazing in all aspects of photography and recording. As soon as or if the ban gets lifted I’m leaving iOS.
The second Huawei gets Google services back, if that ever happens, I'll be first in line to buy. Until then I'll be going with Xiaomi or Google depending on how the next Pixel is handled.
The P50 Pro is one of my favorites. I may consider purchasing it and using it as my daily driver, but for the time being, I'm waiting to see what Samsung has in store for us.
It makes me weird to see a Huawei with a Snapdragon 😞. It's like seeing an iPhone with a Mediatek processor from 3 - 4 years ago. When I think of what the Kirin 9000, which is already 2 years old, is capable of doing, I kind of imagine what it would have been like if Huawei had been able to continue its Kirin. On the other hand, I'm a little disappointed that Huawei has abandoned its 3D face unlock, and as I said 2 years ago with the P40 Pro / Mate 40 Pro, they should have centered the pill like Apple is apparently going to do on its future iPhones 14. Instead of seeing a pill bigger than the holes in the screen of Android smartphones, people would have seen a miniaturized and revolutionary Face-iD. But at least Huawei seems to have solved its photo-video colorimetry problems, but especially its video stabilization problem, that's the main reason why I stopped to use Huawei. The real big problem with this smartphone is its price, it costs more than an iPhone 13 Pro and Galaxy S21 Ultra. Huawei must accept that its status is no longer the same and review its pricing positioning otherwise it will be really complicated for them, the proof they have gone from number 1 in China (their home market where normally the absence of GMS should not be a problem) to not even in the top 5.
Have you ever asked Celia a question? I hear she went to school with Bixby 😀 Nice review! I really have enjoyed my Mate 20 x Huawei phone. It is kind of interesting how they whine and cry though about not being able to use Google services. Seems a bit hypocritical sometimes. When the country of origin where the phones are manufactured cannot use Google services.
I have the mate 20 believe Huawei is one of the best. You didn't speak about G-Space. You get Play Store. You need to do a video on that. Google is no longer a problem P50 and Pro is amazing phone and the pocket
With an SD8 Gen1 + 5G and Google, this thing would sell insanely well. This entire ban thing is really stupid, considering that Huaweis Offbrands are allow to use anything they want.
Your comment doesn't make alot of sense How does battery size determine whether a phone is called "pro" or not? How is a 5000mAh battery sad and outdated? You're saying we are in a time when batteries are 5000mAh or more (we are not) while also dumping on a phone that has a 5000mAh battery.....?
