This whole album has a clear, crisp sound and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that gives the songs on the album a big boost.

How are these guys not in the Hall of Fame yet? Shameful!

I'm 41 now, my brother is 19 months younger than I am. When we were little, we'd run around the house singing this song (or trying to!!😂💕). We called it the "Heartbeat Song!" My brother couldn't say Huey Lewis, so he called him " Hooey Wooey" Omg! Great memories!!

Was watching the "We Are the World" documentary on Netflix and saw Huey Lewis. This song instantly popped in my head and... here I am. Feb 2024... and it's STILL a hit!!!

Their earlier work was a bit new wave for my taste, but when Sports came out in 83. I really think they committed their own. Commercially and artistically

Huey Lewis & The News is such an amazing band, there is literally *NO* song from them I don't like.

It's so sad that due to hearing issues, Huey Lewis is no longer able to sing. They were a hit-making machine in their prime.

80's MUSIC NEVER DIES !

Most entertaining concert i ever attended. Ive been to over 150 in my life, and Huey Lewis in Denver in 86 was incredible. There was a electrical problem backstage during the show. While they were fixing it, Huey came out and sat down on the edge of the stage and cracked jokes with the audience. Knock knock jokes, family jokes, jokes about the band and life in general. 15,000 people in Denver's MacNichols arena just having the night of their lives being ENTERTAINED by an Entertainer.

Huey played for our company meeting some years back. He looked way older but he was as fresh and strong from beginning to end of the evening. He played every one of his hits to perfection. Fun stuff. His band was at least half his age.

Huey Lewis remains ridiculously underrated today, just as John Fogerty was for decades.

These guys were old school,a saxophone solo in every song.

I met Huey back in the day, & I was featured in the "punk audience" when I was 17 yrs. in this very video.Yeah, that's me dancing in the crowd w/the pink spiky punk rock hair, & leather studded bracelets. Wow! Those were the days! Where did all the good times go? Hahaha!

The Sports tour was the very first concert that I went to. I was close to the stage and when they started playing I thought "What kind of world am I in" The feeling, the vibe, the energy and the music. Thanks to Huey Lewis and the News for sharing the gift of music!

This is definitely a signature hit of the 30th anniversary of rock 'n' roll because that genre began back in the mid '50s.

Sports is an album that's usually not mentioned when it comes to the 80's, but it was a GREAT album. Launched them in to the big time...and their efforts on Back to the Future made them bonafide superstars. And yet, I think this was their best work.

After not playing this song for many years I had to go back and learn it for a gig coming up. WOW, this is a really well written song. Great chord changes and the lyrics really nail what rock and roll is all about! Yeah. I can't say enough about what a great song this is.

It's sad but I say rock n roll and metal music died after the 80s with the rise of alternative rock and grunge in the 90s. The 80s saw the rise of some of the greatest rock/metal bands and music ever produced, even generating multiple one hit wonders. The competition was fierce, but we Gen Xers know how to rock.

Summer of '84, this song was huge, I was enjoying life, looking forward to my senior year in high school. I had no worries back then.

I bought this album in Athens Greece in 84 and transferred to cassette and played it on my Sony Walkman whilst travelling the Greek Islands in the summer of '84! This music was pumping out of all the bars in Greece!! Greeks know how to party!! WHAT A GREAT SUMMER!! When I remember Greece in '84, I remember Huey Lewis and The News Sports Album! Thanks guys!!
