I got a $500 bag for xmas. The $500 bag had alot of slabs, similar smaller items & couple 1oz silver rounds. The big $ one was a 2021 ASE type 1 first strike Len Buckley MS70. That I havnt been able to find a value for. Lucky duck will definitely get another buy from me.
Mystery boxes intrigue me. I would buy one that is specifically silver, but with random coins I just couldn't go for. I could accept getting collectable coins as long as there is a pm component as well.

I thought about buying a pack. But slabs are something I'm not entirely into. I have one, just to say I have one lol Funny thing is, I could see slabbing my own down the road. Currently, they just look like they take up too much space. That will likely change inside 3 years though. While I've been collecting for years, these last 4 months I've kicked into overdrive lol The cbdc has me concerned that coin prices could shoot up. I suppose there's a chance that collecting will become a super niche market. But probably not for some time.

I can see the fun in these, but like you say buy what you want. Alot of the stuff is stuff that would be hard to unload. You should get a fair bit over retail since they get to choose what to send. Seems like a quantity over quality proposition here

Any advice on repairing a rattler holder with a long superficial scratch on the outer edge section of the plastic? I was thinking maybe some fine grit sand paper or a little super glue and a wet cloth on a tiny section to see if it comes out?
If you said you wouldn't pay $250 I'd understand, even $200... but, $100? You can easily sell the stuff in that box, even to a coin shop, for a profit at $100.
@@sumdude80 Oh I understand that, I even said as much at the end of the video that it may be better to just buy the things you want. Most of my valuations were based on eBay sold listings which I showed screenshots of. These are sold listings, not what they're asking. I'd buy this box for $100 times as many times as someone would let me to. :)
I have a quick question. I found a silver coin years ago in a wall we were taking out of a home in Massachusetts. It was a Sears and Roubucks catalog home from 1901. I know the coin is not from that period. The wall we were removing was from an addition build years after the intial build. This coin looks to be a full oz of silver and says "Air Borne All The Way" on what i assume to be the obverse side and shows a Copy right cirle with an 82 and letters "DKP" to the right of an airborne crest and a circled A and letters JLR to the left. Below the crest are 2 crossed rifles. Any idea what this coin is and if its worth anything? Thank you for your time.
The problem with mystery packs is that you end up with too many odds and ends coins that will give your collection volume and not much more. You might get dollar for dollar value but I don't consider that a good outcome for odds and ends, even if one or two are nice.
They clearly need to change what they ship their coins in. Who wants coins covered in some weird dust/powder. Making then easier to be scratched. Must be the cheap burlap sack. Ditch the sack and put in plastic bags.
All the money I spent in grab bags as a new collector I would gladly trade for a 1916d merc in a you guess condition😢… careful of what money you throwaway as a new collector cause your gonna want a key date in acceptable condition someday😊

Ok.. exactly half way through this video, right in the middle and i mean.. what a terrible assortment, seriously, much of the modern slab coinage really isnt worth anywhere near what ebay sold listing should be pricing.. seems like one offs lets see if it closes better but right now i an seeing like 50$ worth or stuff so far maybe. Ok done, still terrible honestly, thos canadian coins are just melt, no one really pays a premium for those coins, the us new mintage in non silver really, really dont hold much value, very novety mint junk. Not a big fan of this pack.
