the plus points: -the most detailed and great sculpted MOTU figures ever made -great design based on a more Japanese anime style -lots of accessories and absolutely fantastic painting the minus points -very few, almost no movement points, therefore little articulation and almost no poses for display. -Many weapons and action features are much too large due to the anime style and hardly fit the figures -far too many He-Man and Skeletor variants and too few other characters
As someone who finally got around to collecting 200x the last few years, 200 dollars is a steal. You should be arrested for theft. Fisto, Evil Lyn, and any stactions are a minimum of 50-75 bucks each and usually much more, not even including shipping. Keldor and Faker are a minimum of 150 each. Well done.
I loved the 2001 cartoon! A few years later I bought nearly all of the figures still MIB. They've been in storage ever since. Was just thinking a few days ago that maybe I need to pull them out and sell them. Maybe when I look at them again I'll change my mind.
That’s awesome. This series is still the gold standard for me and I know a lot of people don’t like the leaner bodies of the figures, but there’s some great sculpts in there. Sounds like you have a helluva collection stashed away!
I love the 2002 iteration of Masters of the universe. In fact it's my favorite out of all the reboots including the Netflix crap. The Netflix versions are horrible. At least they were faithful to the original filmation series. I have the first season on DVD and as well as all the Happy meal toys figures that came out 2002 from McDonald's. 2002 MOTU is the best.
Love 200X. Had the Happy Meal figures at the time, but then sold everything before moving years ago and now slowly rebuilding. The whole series is available on Prime Video to stream if you need beyond Season 1.
I know I'm late to the party when it comes to watching this, but I felt like a kid on Christmas just watching you open everything. Then you said you only paid $200 and my jaw dropped! I wanna get that lucky!
Oh, I knew it when I got it. He had sent me a list of what he had and I told just throw me a number for everything. If I never get that lucky again it’s ok
Hmmm for Buzz Off.... try getting Transformers legacy waspinator if you can find them cheap .... their wings are also on ball joints so it might be a nice substitute. Comes in several colors. Amen on evil lyn. I liked her design the most.
I have all these still in the original packaging red and green. Missing a few green. I have the staction set but don’t have the mini bust. Great line of figures.
Love that. I know this line is divisive amongst fans, but I love it. I didn’t even know the Green cards existed until a few years after the fact. Never saw them at retail.
Well executed figures. My only gripe about the 200X line was that I am more in the camp of MOTU figures (standard sized specifically, as this line had more body type variety) having bulkier bodies. But they absolutely nailed the sculpt/design. It's interesting how much staying power it's had within the IP ; every iteration since has incorporated elements from 200X at some point. ...Also notible that as many He-Man variants as were produced, there was no struggle to figure out what to do with his head sculpt. Even Classics took a few tries(+ one of the stronger He-Man head sculpts was the Classics 200X). They've been trying to figure out what to do with his hair since New Adventures, but 200X had it short enough to not impede movement but long enough to be recognizable straight out of the gate.
Agree with everything you say here. Even today I hear a lot of people who hate the body types for how lean they are as opposed to the vintage bulk, but that was very much a reflection of the time and I think there’s way more hits than misses in this line.
200X is my favorite MOTU line. And the animated series is sooo good! This line is outstanding. I have them all including the NECA stactions and I love them. Great unboxing, I really enjoyed it.
Great Collection my brother! and the price you payed is insane, just the keldor, the faker, teela and evil lin on ebay you can pay more than $500 for all of those, damn your lucky, other key characters you need are roboto, trapjaw and ranman, i still need in my collection a teela, and a evil lin, congrats bro !
Thanks so much! Yeah, I knew I was getting a huge deal at the time as I think the guy was just really looking to unload it. I even told him to name his price and was surprised when he came back with that. Definitely gonna have to add to this now for sure
Damn, you're lucky! I remember when I was little, he-man was the only toyline I liked and thought was cooler than any other out there in the 80s but the kids I knew and my cousins all liked shitty toys like transformers or gi joe which sucked so I grew up and still have all my figures from the past inside a chest at my mom's house and it's almost the whole collection of the original and it sucks I never knew about this line or the classic to the retro and masterverse line and now there's masters of the WWE figures which could be thrown into (I would do it if I was a kid) a storyline as a guest appearance hero or villain or both. What a time and I'm going to start collecting! Maybe I could still get them all which will be a lot of time and money but where there's a will...there's a way! Good day sir!
200x was the best the line aver was. Distribution and case pack was absolute garbage and everyone involved with the line apart from the 4 horsemen should have been fired. I miss this line.
I am just now getting into this line all I got is he Man Prince Adam is on the way and the war whale which I did a video on depending on who is selling these you can get a really great deal or scalpers prices
@@JoeShoesWow...GOOD DEAL. Keldor sells for that almost all by himself. You got very lucky for what you got vs what ya paid. 🤜🤛 Iron cross armor is first release. They changed it to the asterix style to match the show.
