Great process and result. I admire your patience with these, I tend to get frustrated at the stage before all the pearls develop. Just managed to get myself some satin enamels (not widely available in Germany unfortunately) and will do some pearly-cloudy landscapes soon.
Sara, another stunning work! I notice you occasionally add drops of paint during your wet embellishments to create more "pearls". I assume you are dropping from your puddle paint mixtures and not the base coat mixtures. Do you ever drop from the base coat mixtures?
That’s a great observation question, usually when I’m dropping in paint, it is the basecoat, because it will puff out and create a pearl. In this painting, I’m also using gold brand high flow directly out of the bottle because it has a similar effect.👍

I was wondering if you know an alternative to satin enamel paint as it's extremely difficult to find in Australia.. Is an egg shell finish the same maybe? If you don’t live in the US and these products are not available to you there may be some other options. •MelyD uses only water and paint and a bit of Liquitex pouring medium and Decoart satin enamel in white to get her beautiful results. I have not tried this with the new formula of artist loft. •Elyse Fournier would use the following in various ways to get beautiful effects; Wall paint (Dulux Diamond in eggshell) Folkart milk paint Decoart satin enamel Floetrol
