sailing is going to be a huge opportunity for future content, island raids, islands with slayer monsters/bosses, man new items, im just so excited for the future , While Guthix Sleeps and the new Prayer system is the MOST EXCITED ive been in a LONG TIME, and i cant wait to see what else they bring during this Summer Summit!

All of these other than scurius, varlamore p1 and eventual release of sailing are all currently being polled and have not been made official yet and won't be official until the poll closes on January 26th. While Guthix Sleeps, Defender of Varrock, the wilderness changes to elder chaos druids and rework of various wildy content, the herblore activity in varlamore p2 AND the varlamore group boss are all UNCONFIRMED. IF you like these ideas, you NEED to vote now before January 26th, 2024, or they might not make it into the game!
Seems like the colosseum gamemode is kinda like the part in Fable where you fight in a colosseum. You can quit at any point or push on for round after round, fight a final boss for a grand prize.

They're not going to change the dragon Claws they're concerned about it's placement amongst the stuff they're adding so if anything they're going to work around the claws
I feel like most of these are pretty interesting/exciting to look forward too. However i will say and i might be the only one, but i really cba with a new skill, and even more so Sailing. I honestly think Dungeoneering/Summoning are 100x more interesting then Sailing. But oh well. Besides Sailing i think most of the things on here are very interesting. I think Varlamore has alot of potential, new quests are always fun to look forward too aswell. All in all its very good and looks promising to look forward and experience these new things in the future
This just means noone is going to use their hd update, kind of a shame it looked nice not getting rid of my runelite tho. And I'd rather get a finished skill released in two years than an unfinished skill released sooner
They should make HD available for runelite. There is no point playing the game without the runelite plugins. 99.9% of activities in the game are unimaginable to be done without the plugins once you had a taste of runelite. I will probably just quit the game, if they start with the Jagex tirany era again
Would be nice to have a pirate (wildernis on the water) for the sailing skill. Maybe some boat to boat combat and otherwise shooting players on the boat would do.
Is while guthix sleeps going to be exactly the same? I mean obviously there's no summoning in osrs but are they really gonna kill my lad Hazelmere again :(?
plugins on the official client will also be huge. I can see it overtaking runelite in the future when people start making plugins for that client then! Gonna be exciting

as an architecture and geography nerd, I am SO EXCITED for varlamore!! I got so excited when I saw the map, the central city with surrounding farms, and the AQUADUCT!! I especially appreciate all the red painted columns, not many folks know this but greco-roman marble sculptures were usually painted bright colors, the paint was just degraded off them over time (or worse, removed by people before artifact conservation standards existed). Also super excited for a lower level boss, I've had zero interest in bosses since it seems like they're all for high levels and I've never made it that far, but a rat king seems a lot less intimidating to try! AND super excited for the HD lighting/post processing, osrs's graphics flipped around to looking like a modern low poly game, it looks great and I hope it'll draw in new players too! :)
I'll be honest, I want absolutely nothing to do with any HD features Jagex releases for OSRS. If I want HD, I'll either use 117's plugin or play RS3. I'm just glad we'll be able to switch between HD and SD at will.
Sailing feels more a progressive skill than just higher level items like Herblore or Construction. Expands, that's an interesting take to expanding on your other skillsets with each level bracket low or high youre at. Hope it swims smooth, new skills and team gets confident releasing skills like ol early 00's scape.

Im getting King Skeletal Wyvern vibes for the new group boss on the mountain. Going off "not humanoid", being on top of an icy mountain path and no boss variant of SW as far as I know (vorkath making a dragon seem less likely, ice troll king from Fremmenik Isles also makes less likely)

Been off the game for a couple months now. Seeing updates like this almost make me not even want to play again, it’s almost like we’re getting too many major updates way too often lol I haven’t even caught up on last years!
I normally stay away from buying from a clip inside a preview, but I went and bought inquisitor. If it's not a thing in the colluseum, they mentioned they want to bring more crush weakness in-game, and when they rebalance NPC's melee defence they will certainly work crush in (that's probably what's causing melee defence rework).
Look, all I want is for an update to the pirate questline and it better lead up to and go along with Sailing. Yes, it’s only because I want to put a red or blue beret on my mime mask.
I don't play OSRS but I try to keep up to date on it. Are the flails shown off in the rat boss brand new, and no one is bothering to mention them? It seems interesting.
Is the PKing in the wild still ridiculous? Like are there still hordes of pkers running around, swapping servers constantly, and abusing the system, killing everyone? That's what made me quit. There were things I wanted to do, like clues or bosses, but the pkers were endless and just annoying. They would manage to stack in single combat and kill me when I had nothing of worth 😂 That's always been what stops me from going back. Doing clues was my hobby.
So a HD update for OLD School RUNESCAPE OLD OLD OLD is now basically rs3 with out the combat update.. at this point might as well suck it up and play rs3 lmao
The new HD client looks like ass, you can't just add shadows and fog and call it "HD". And even if the new HD was amazing Runelite is still too useful to stop using for improved graphics.

Please tell me the rat boss is f2p. f2p NEEDS new content. I want new players to have a goal ATLEAST. Rat weapon would be a cool update to a f2p best in slot. Making the item have value until it gets powercrept, and brings more players into f2p and members, just make the boss anti-bot proof and you got something.
