Huge Charity Shop haul 🛍️ Thrifted luxury & homeware l Mr Carrington 

I think it was me who got the bag correct. It's a GUCCI lady lock. I have a vintage one that's not quite as old as yours. It would originally have a key very similar to Hermes bags. Mine still has the key. The handbag clinic is based here in Newcastle upon Tyne. Maybe you could get a video out of it? A behind the scenes look at the restoration process?

Oh Iwan,those espadrilles! Apart from the obvious staining i think the worse part of them is the WEDGE😂😂😂😂😂

Don’t think I am nuts but I had a very old pair of flats that looked like they went through a shredder, I didn’t want to throw them away as I had them for so long so I thought and finally turned them into planters. I put succulents in them and put them on my porch by the door. I get so many compliments about them as they are adorable. If all else fails you can have a pair of designer planters on your roof top deck.

I watched Sort Your Life Out this morning. My eyes leaked an awful lot! What a totally gorgeous family. The makeover was perfect. My heart went out to Dilly as well, that must have been a tough one for her. She was really strong. Tell her we think she is amazing! Off to put some shaving foam on my carpet now! (P.S. The Gucci bag is 😍)

Hiya you can buy proper leather soap called saddle soap. It's especially made to clean leather. Also provide a moisturizer to it when cleaned.

Before you baby wipe the bag, I would wipe it with a damp cloth of commercial vinegar as that will kill the mould I saw in the close up. I live in a tropical climate and this is common practice for cleaning leather, before then feeding the leather. Mould spores can travel to other parts of your house so wear gloves when handling the bag before treatment.

The two little girls on last night's SYLO 😍😍😍absolutely adorable. The dad's doing a fabulous job of raising them as a single parent. They melted my heart🤗...I now want a secret room😆 Have you thought of using saddle soap to clean the leather handbag? I use it for our chesterfield sofa and it does a great job. Oh dear, the espadrilles🤭 mix half a cup of water with a tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda. Using an old toothbrush or equivalent, work the mixture into the canvas and leave for an hour. With a damp cloth give them a gentle wipe over then use a sports shoe whitener.☺THEN...sell them!!🤣

I actually LIKE the Gucci espadrilles - if you stuff them with tissue paper and use a steamer to reshape them. Use a spray on fabric cleaner to lighten the color. Amazon has stick-on heel pads that really work. Apply to the inside of where your heel would rub. They are padded, soft and easily reduce the fit to a good half-size. They would look utterly ‘cool’ on you as clearly vintage treasures. Think wabi-sabi, Mr. C.! 👍🙋‍♀️🇺🇸🥰‼️

Please don’t use baby wipes Mr C, it really dries out the leather, especially on vintage bags. You can get a pack of leather wipes for a couple of pounds which will clean and moisturise the leather. Le Creuset pans don’t need seasoning. Xx🥰💗

To help prevent food sticking to cast iron pans we used to prime them with a good half inch of salt on the bottom. Heat the pan on the hob for 15 minutes and then let the salt cool completely before discarding the salt. Worked a treat before we had non stick pans. Also don’t wash, just wipe out with a cloth.

Hiya, you can get leather wipes in the supermarket and I find them really handy to clean bags and leather shoes although I think they are for furniture. If not saddle soap xx

Oh! Its such a pity that I can't watch your tv show here in Spain. I've even tried changing my VPN to the UK, but that didn't work either. That handbag was a really great find. Can't wait to see your home renovation tomorrow. When I renovated my kitchen and the small toilet room, it took two months as there was all the light switches and sockets to rearrange. I could only microwave cook in the living room for more than one month. It seemed a nightmare, but when it's done you think that it was worth it. Max 🐈, Molly 🐈‍⬛and Lucy 😼 didn't get stressed as I thought they would. They got out of the way because of the noise, but loved to inspect every corner when the workers left at the end of the day. When I put on laminated floor years ago the moved all the furniture back and forth, I didn't have to worry about moving big furniture around the house.

I have these frying pans. You can prove them stove top. Heat them up till they are really hot. Turn the heat off and pour in a teaspoon of vegetable oil. Use a piece of kitchen roll to wipe the oil all over the black interior then leave to cool. I do mine every few times I wash it up. Fabulous pans lovely even high heat potential. 😘

Yey that was 1 of (the 4) designers I guessed 😃 The silk shirt as soon as u held it up I thought it looked very Versace-esque. I never really got sucked into the whole "UGG" saga tbh i tried the boots when 1st released yonks ago & didn't like the back of them cos they'd scrunch up when i walked & wasnt gonna risk the blisters 😆 BUT (20yrs later 😂) just got a cpl pairs of the shorter ones & they're lush! I love a good vintage bag. My Longchamp was $5.00 at a thrift shop here in the US. It currently sells in good condition for $120.00, mine is in excellent condition so I am over the moon happy! Same trip I got a vintage Coach leather belt for 29 cents!! They did not know what they had obviously. I feel sorry for your Gucci wedges, poor old things.

Hi on your bag ,you can by leather soap , if you do try leather soap please do a small test piece first ok . Just be careful with wipes , if they contain an oil it may discolour the bag . Great haul! As a fellow shacket lover, I always love to see what you've found. I hope you didn't pay a lot for those loafers, but they might look better after you wear them. They almost look as though they were washed by the way they are wrinkled.

If you do decide to keep the espadrilles 😬: To clean white canvas shoes that are turning yellow: use a solution of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. 1 tablespoon of baking soda, 1/2 tablespoon each of hydrogen peroxide & water. Brush paste on canvas. Wait until dry to the touch. Wipe off dried paste & rinse in cool water. Air dry indoors. Failing that, get 'em back on Vinted pronto 😁

Another fun haul! Maybe with the right out fit the shoes could be fab. Think vintage. You might just start a trend!😅 ❤🇺🇸

For leather cleaning, I use Saddle Soap and then a leather dressing which is what I used to use on all of my tack. Does a beautiful job. Is Millers still in London? They would have it....Lexol brand here in the States. Just a thought.

You can remove the handle on the pans. The metal part should unscrew and you can then take the handle off. Loved sort your life out this week. Such a lovely family

If you have any face cream noir body cream that is other cheap or expired you can put on a cotton pad or soft cotton cloth and rub it into leather making sure it all goes in and there’s no residue. This rehydrates and revitalises the leather. The bag looks a little brittle from leather drying out

Try using oxyclean on the shoes to clean the stains then you could dye them grey or indigo.

Hi Iwan.......my friend got some vintage converse basketball trainers off Vinted......same thing....but she got a cheap tube of whitening toothpaste & using a childs soft toothbrush she gently brought them back to life & she soaked laces in either Oxy or Vanish cant remember but they looked as good as new by time shed finished. Give it a go 🤞🏼. They would look very classy with a pair of cream linen trousers, shirt & a straw hat on your next visit to Monaco.......bet they cost abit back in the day! Good luck xx

Love the show, watched with my lunch today. Such a beautiful family and you did them all proud. Gucci loafers …..you could use them to grow your herbs in or succulents. Fancy book ends ?? Statement piece on a canvas . You could put scent boosters in them and put them in a wardrobe ? I reckon the plant idea is my fave. Line with a plastic bag then put a small plant pt in some gravel a soil and a nice succulent.😊 love all your finds . ❤
