Loved this! Love the idea of getting cleaning stuff and chalkboard for the role play area! I’ve just moved to reception and everything’s taking so long to set up 😱 going to upload a classroom set up video next week so stay tuned 🤍🤍

Great vlog, makes me really want to go to Ikea!! We have the play kitchen and pan set at our school and they are lasting well. Would love to see how you are setting up your classroom this year. Your Y1s will love having continous provision! If you dont mind me asking, will that be just in the Autumn term or all year? I will be teaching Reception this year.

Oooh that's good to hear, they look really good quality! I will be posting a classroom setup video so you can see! At the moment I think the plan is only Autumn term but I would love to continue it if it goes well! Have you taught continuous provision in Year 1 before?

@@charinlondon Hi! Look forward to that vlog! Yes, Ive done CP with Y1s before but it was years ago! It was just in the Autumn term. To be honest, it was tricky to fit in all the KS 1 subjects/ content but it made the transition from R to Y1 much easier. x

I’m totally going for an IKEA trip next week now I’ve watched this. I’m curious, is your school going to do continuous provision for year two? I’ve been teaching in reception for ten years but in September I am going to be in year two which previously has been very formal and structured. I’m going to do continuous provision but I’m struggling to find any other schools that do it.

No only up to Year 1! I've not known anyone to do continuous provision in Year 2 either, are you allowed to change it? IKEA is definitely the place to go! 😍
