The button-up shirt is one of those items I thought I had to have but never liked wearing. I have tried all colors, all fabrics. Took me years to figure out it's not my style. It's easy to get stuck sometimes.
The belt you made, if it’s not too late, should go in the future daughter box. You kept it as long as you did, it’s something unusual that future daughter may appreciate.
I’m like You 😂 I put declutter videos in the background while I declutter. I’m going into my second huge declutter. First time I did it was in 2018 and after that I meet my now fiancé and move to a new city. I think after you let old you Bye bye 👋 you’re letting space for a new You. Congrats on your moving
That is so true! I feel like sometimes certain clothes even if they are still cute, they just feel like an old version of yourself that is time to let go.
You did a great job! I also did a major closet clean out of my clothes. It took me two years because I work full time and I also have a family to tend to. This is why it took me long! But in the end I counted everything and I noticed the difference, I have less clothing now.
Sounds like it is time to get into thrifting! A fun and cheap way to overhaul your wardrobe. Just be patient, some days you strike gold and some shops are total duds haha
I’m just curious where your new hubby will keep his clothes. I thought you were making room for him until I heard you say you could put your summer things in the spot you cleared in the closet.
haha great question! I mean that more generally about making room in the house as a whole. We have a guest room close to this bedroom and have decided to use both closets for our clothes. We just decided I'll be moving my things to the guest room so I can have a bit of a getting ready space in there!
@@_SarahHolly ha ha. My husband used to get up so early for work in the FDNY and he’d turn on all the lights and be banging dresser drawers looking for his clothes when it was still dark out in the morning. One day I decided to put all his clothes in the den closet and it was great for us. At first I think he was a little hurt that I kicked his clothes out until i explained why. Since I was up all night anyway with babies it helped me sleep just a little later in the morning. We just need to use space however it works best for us. Right?
Hi i have jus spent the last two months going through my clothes shoes handbags underware , and have sold unworn shoes i think its 6 pair’s beautiful shoes but i had an accident and needed a knee replacement so no longer can wear 4 inch heels so i sold them but i did keep 2 pairs just in case i can wear them again , but yes i have donated my clothes to the charity shop so others may benifit , so yes i know the pain of giving away old but goodies ! my love liz xxx
I think 30 wears is a good minimum goal per regular-life item, so a litmus test can be “do I see myself wearing this 30 times?” If one feels dread rather than excitement or comfort at the prospect, part with it to make wear-space in your life for more of a favorite!
I always love to see people declutter! It motivates me too, thanks :) One question... where did you buy that pretty green sweater you wore in the video chapter "power through"?
I really enjoyed this video. I found alot of the clothes you have kept, washed you out. Have you ever considered going to a colourist or colour analysis!? To see what colours would best suit you!?
