Hi Kim, I have finally mastered my avocado by not waiting until the are kind of soft before putting in the fridge. Because we were going from hard to mush!! But I let them sit for a couple of days on the counter and then put them in the fridge not when they are rock hard but like medium, I guess you would say, they are wonderful! Haven’t had to through any away in the last couple of months and it’s better for putting on like wraps or sandwiches. They are not just mush for guacamole only! I did see someone take a large container like a huge huge huge mason jar and fill it with water and put them in their and fill with water and let them sit in there and they said, they lasted 2 weeks! But I don’t have room in my stuffed fridge to even think about putting in a jar that size! Maybe I will experiment and put like 2 avocados in water in a large mason jar just to see what happens because I’m curious! Just a thought! That’s for putting a lot of happy in my day! I love meal planning too! I spent 2 days this last week getting a weekly meal plan done for this week, and then for the week of the first... I was thinking of recycling on or the other for the last week of this month, or using leftovers ive stocked in my freezer up(befause i make HUGE batches of whatever i make lately.😅😂), so it DEFINITELY reduces waste, tress, and takes the guess work out of "whats for dinner?" Type questions.

I think it depends on the season of life you are in. My husband and I don't have kids and I have pretty severe chronic health problems and sometimes just the thought of trying to make dinner (much less then have to clean up after dinner) makes me want to cry so eating out is the better option for my mental health....but I remember growing up in a household that was on a pretty limited budget and there is no way my mom and dad could have afforded to have us eat out on a regular basis, and that isn't even talking about eating out at a place that had semi-healthy food...And that was before the cost of everything went through the roof. Also, I keep the avocados in my fridge in the veggie drawer and then just pull them out one at a time and that seems to keep them fresh for longer.

I always do an easy dinner for grocery shopping day. I will either do pizza, or get a rotisserie chicken and roast potatoes or make mashed potatoes and a veggie on the side. Costco has the best rotisserie chickens! Also, I keep avocados in my fridge without the vacuum seal and it helps them stay fresh for a couple weeks.

Becky buys carrotts in bulk and shreds a bunch and freezes them in one cup bags to use in recipes. She used some yesterday in carrot muffins. I know you have a nut allergy in your family but if you can add sunflower or pumpkin seeds to your snacking you’ll be adding lots of good nutrition. Google the benefits of each. 😊. Also, say Ray Ohhs. 🤗

Use sensitivity toothpaste before you want to eat ice cream, it coats your teeth for protection, for heat or cold... Healthy perfect teeth can be sensitive to cold, it just shows you have good strong nerves in your teeth😁 but yes if you wanna have a ice cream treat or anything super cold, try the sensodine toothpaste

Hi Kim, I think it sounds like you have sensitive teeth, and you can get toothpaste for that in the UK its called Sensodyne not sure if you can get that in USA or ask the dentist, and spring cleaning still got half my kitchen to do and whole house is done, but I don't think its as big as it used to be, I remember my mum ripping the house apart and cleaning everything. xoxox

Kim you need that Sensodyne toothpaste. After 2 weeks sensitivity should be resolved.

I used to have that issue with ice cream, so I started using a good sensitive toothpaste and it was a total game changer. I can now enjoy the ice cream with no pain it is worth a go as you said it tastes so good but if your in pain it isn’t enjoyable ❤.

I have stored avocadoes in a container with water in the fridge. (Avocado is covered completely under water) That has kept my 🥑 just right for almost 2 weeks or so. I usually put them in the container when they are almost ready (like when you think…1 more day or so then I store the in the fridge not when they are green)

I typically clean my fridge on sundays, because monday is garbage day. I don't take the condiments out either, I will do it once a month to get rid of expired stuff.

You know what's finally Happening this month?... I will Meal plan! However, I will Meal plan for the Month... because at heart I'm not a Woman 🤣 and I can't spend too long sitting and writing about food etc. However, I am a Woman in how I love cooking and how I care about what my kids eat. So I've decided to do it properly and make my life easier. I usually buy the staples, then I make something which turns out usually good. But then I don't make the fancy things I like, what is "foreign" food to me like Indian or Chinese. And we eat Pasta all the time. We don't eat things like Corn or a really hearty crunchy salad... Only on the few days where I feel like it and go to the store for this. So, this month, I will try and Meal plan. I'll let you know 😅 next month! And also I need to buy Yogurt and Granola for breakfast!

Hi kim. Have you seen "not healthy" slow cooker mississippi meatballs? Same premise as the pot roast only using frozen meatballs and sub rolls. Put it with a salad and there ya go.

Cello brand of Pecorino Romano cheese is fantastic! Saltier than Parmesan but so much flavor. I’ve been buying it from Costco since they started selling it

Pecorino romano is made from sheep’s milk and has a distinct flavor. It’s used like parmigiano reggiano but for certain dishes, specifically cacio e pepe. It’s delicious

I gave up fancy meal planning and I am following the KISS method (Keep it Simple). We have several people with different preferences, requirements for health issues, levels of activity. If one person is low carb due to health, one is high protein due to strength training, 1 has major sensory issues, 1 is lactose intolerant or trying to lower cholesterol, 1 is gluten free due to autoimmune disorder, etc etc etc. It just make life easier to make things everyone can piece together in their own way. 1 has taco salad, 1 has nachos, 1 has beans but no meat, whatever. It saves so much time and energy.

I was watching some of your past videos and I thought I’d give you a little FYI from one mom to another. My kids are grown and out of the house. But I can still share a little advice and knowledge. You can take it or leave it. It’s up to you my friend. I hear you talk about rugs a lot and I have to laugh bc rugs were the Bain of my existence when my kids were growing up. They were always getting dirty or destroyed by the vacuum or by our pets🤣 I always felt like I was searching for rugs. Especially ones that I could clean easily . My dream was the perfect washable rug and the only ones I could find were those bathroom rugs that you could cut to size. An they never had the right colors and they’d fall apart ( the rubber backing) bc I’d wash them so much. Anyway short story long as you’d say🤣🤣🤣 I came across “ruggables”. Which is you guessed it! A place that sells washable rugs in a ton of different shapes,sizes,and patterns. I think to myself. I should have been the creator of this very lucrative creation 🤦🏼‍♀️ anywho I’d go on there internet site and check it out. Now I’ve forgotten the second thing I was going to share with you🤦🏼‍♀️ so I will end this with a very big thank you for sharing your life and bringing back so many beautiful memories I have raising my 3 handsome boys. You make me laugh so often bc we could be kindred spirits. Your mind works exactly like mine. It’s always thinking 20 steps ahead and when I’m talking I can barely keep up.
