It’s a BIG one! I bagged 31 fabulous home decor pieces! We start in the historical town of Sevenoaks and then head to a selection of charity shops and charity furniture stores to hunt out those decorating treasures! There will be the big reveal where we have a chat about the pieces, how I will make them over and style them and what the next decorating project will be!!
If you are looking for a budget friendly way to make your home look collected and curated, thrift shopping is the way to accomplish that! Thrifting is one of my favourite ways to cut costs when decorating. Shop your local thrift stores to find unique and affordable home decor for your home. Hi Tracey, Just wanted to tell you that thanks to you I now have a mirror on my porch. We hung a white rectangular one over an old wooden pie safe and it looks so good, It reflects light as well as the beautiful green trees around us. It’s always a treat to watch your videos. Thank you!

Before we had electricity here a pie safe was used to store pies ect. The safe doors were made with mesh screens to keep the flys away from the food.

@@RuralRefurb a pie safe is a narrow wooden cabinet. It has doors with panels of punched tin. In long- ago years, home-baked pies were placed inside to cool.

Yes as someone else said the mystery item is a tee square or blackboard ruler. Teachers used to use them to draw lines on the blackboard when I was at school in the 80s in Zimbabwe. I think I like the wooden legs with caster wheels on best.

I like all your unique finds but especially the old rolling pin. I have the same identical basket you purchased with the lid on top. I use mine for a clothes hamper for my PJ's that are to be washed. It is in my walk-in closet and works perfect. I am waiting to see what you do with your own to use as an idea for me. I missed Bertie today but was nice to meet your daughter. OK... first off that food market!!!! I am a foodie and love any street sale of such... baked goods, bottled oils and vinegars. jars of jams and olives. I always spend 1/2 my budget there. I have one of those cast iron scales with the brass bowls that Amber picked up in the beginning. It is always filled with seasonal fruits and veggies on my kitchen counter. Besides seeing your lovely daughter... the glimpses of your charming, quaint towns and villages, just takes my breath away. The torcheir/plant stand is my favorite. I had one that fell over and broke in half!!!! But I just glued a metal candle pan to the bottom half and it is still beautiful. Just shorter. I did notice the wood feet with the wheels too. Bookends!!!! I love that idea! I rarely come home without a basket! Yours are so large and make such a statement. We could definitely thrift together... but might have to arm wrestle over a few items. haha

Sneaky devil, love it! I would have done the same thing about that stool. T-square, drafting and art students used them on the drafting tables for straight lines and angled lines. Unfortunately they got replaced by mechanical devices. Great haul, can't wait to see what you do with all your great finds.

Hi !!!! Let me tell you I’ve collected baskets always !!! The first one with the lid is easy worth 100.00 !!!! The next one at least 75.00 !!! Baskets are expensive. Doesn’t matter that they are all resale shops. !!! Glad you got them !!! Deb. Az USA. I think people don’t realize how much things like that cost. And that they are sometimes a handmade item. Can’t get everything for almost free !!!!!

I was fortunate to go to England with my grandmother in 1969. She was born there. She took me everywhere to visit family and see the sights. As a 13 year old I have such great memories of that trip and it was one of the best the highlights of my life. My favorite things were the fresh smoked kippers, local fish and chip shops, open air markets and and the bakeries!! I think I gained 15# in three weeks 😳. What a lovely lovely country. Hi Tracey. My retired husband unexpectedly got a job. I clean, mow grass and change up my house. I love your house and everything you do. I just brought an old crock my husband had in the garage and I put all our walking sticks and old canes in. I have been watching so many of your videos. I don’t comment on the television , but thought I would write you a note on my pad. You are definitely my kind of thrifter. Everything in our house is from estate sales..even an old 2000 car we bid on at an estate sale. I need to learn to do more fixing like you do and love how you restyle old urns with dirt and concrete stuff. We are in West Virginia USA. I loved seeing the Yew tree in the church yard…amazing. I hope it’s protected. We have been having tornado like winds. I hope nothing gets that beautiful tree. I hope you continue to do more videos. I am hooked. ❤❤❤❤

Lovely finds! That does resemble a drafting square, but when I saw Winsor & Newton on the back (and the holes where it might have attached to something once), it makes me wonder if that isn’t part of (maybe the back?) an easel Winsor & Newton may have made at one time for use with their watercolors! Beautiful find!

Oh my goodness the stool theft was hilarious. She steals from you and you get it right back. I go to estates sales and do what you do but this last time a woman grabbed some of my items put them in her pile and I learned what happened and got some of them back. Much to my dismay she got away with a couple of my items. Ugh I was mad at the ladies who were supposed to be watching my items.
