I can't believe I waited this long to tackle my craft room (actually, it's more like a closet)! Paper, ribbon, art projects, markers, paint, beads--all the things were everywhere! The craft closet / room was in SHAMBLES! We rolled our sleeves up and got busy cleaning, decluttering and going through every single scrap of paper and organized all the craft supplies neatly. Let's hope it stays this way.

For the artwork I scan them and turn them into photo books for the kids - reduces clutter and leaves you beautiful kid art coffee table books.

Since you do not actually do your crafts in the craft room maybe you can add some sort of bucket or cart that allows you to move those items to another place in your home while you do the project. Maybe a cart with multiple organizers? When the project is over take the bucket back up and store things back to their spot immediately instead of throwing things around?

Don't you be embarrassed Miss Raven, you had a lot going on this past few months. Remember you had the playroom renovation, Christmas Party Planning. The decorating, then executing of the realistic ski resort. Not to mention all the clean up afterwards... plus... taking down all the decor from the party and the holiday. Let's not forget all the recording, editing and downloading you do in order to bring us along on your adventures That's quite a bit...thats a lot!! Hard working lady, mother and entrepreneur.. Its all good. No one can blame you. Shoo at least it's in the craftroom. It wouldve been everywhere if it had been me...

I would suggest to save the desk in storage. So when you’re ready to replace the house in the playroom you have a desk you can revamp for Ziya.

im not sure how ziyas bathroom closet is set up but if the drawer set fits in there it could store all of her hair ties,bobbles,clips, combs etc.

I loved seeing my artwork as a kid. I think it’d be cute for Ziya to pick her favorite pieces from each grade and create a scrapbook/album. Everything else can be recycled.

You could buy one of those crafting cabinets that has the appearance of a built-in but actually folds into itself and look like a wall unit. It also has a fold-away table.

Hey Raven I use the IKEA hampers on the sturdy steel bases to hold my wrapping paper and my yoga mats , straps and blocks and it works great for the last 5 years or so .

Artwork: scan all and link it to a digital picture frame, toss some, keep the specific ones in a binder inside plastic sleeves. Maybe?

Zoe has a degree in assembling IKEA cabinets by now. I do enjoy watching these transformations you do with the different needs you have. I love how ya'll just brainstorm and then it all works out perfectly. I never have that luck. I usually can't find whatever it is I think I need or I find it and it doesn't work for what I thought it would. The moving shelves with your feet is so ME! (hips work too, hmm, well not in Raven's case as she is so slim, she has no hips!)) LOL

I’m actually thankful that my mom kept all my childhood art. I would keep just in case she ends up becoming an artist when she older she has her old paintings and drawings to look back on

For the wrapping paper, I use a garment/dress bag that you can get pretty cheap at Wal-Mart. I can comfortably fit 10 rolls of wrapping paper in the bag and the bag has an added bonus of keeping dust and stuff off the wrapping paper.

I have 20 curtain rods. I used a empty wall & install like 11 for wrapping paper. Then I can add more later for new paper.

For Zia’s artwork, I think you should whole punch each paper and put it in like a binder so she can flip through her artwork and look at her art and put it on her shelf, and every time she makes new art she can put it in the binder

Maybe start making books out of Ziya’s artwork. Every week she gets to keep one special piece that she made and then you can date each piece and have 4 for every month. Then put them in a book for each year and store them on her bookshelves in the playroom.

This is awesome. Was so glad to see when you turned the drawers to the other wall. That way if you ever needed to you could add another one of the taller storage systems next to the others!

45 mins I finished helping my parents clean our basement😂reorganizing the couches in front of our tv and tweaks to the workout area plus mopping and vacuuming. My mom organized the shelves that have our extra cookware and other stuff for parties/gatherings. Laying in my bed until I have to go workout in a few hours. But it’s going to be so satisfying to workout😂

For your wrapping paper… get a cabinet with two doors that open. Instead of putting shelves inside, use a tension rod (or 2) to hold the wrapping paper standing up. If you get a smaller cabinet you could put it on top or your new drawers.

What a great way to start the year! You must feel so calm and relieved now, as well as accomplished since this was a major task. Well done! I know you mentioned you will possibly add an area with hooks at the end of the room, but may I suggest also getting an additional bookcase? As you craft more and accumulate different types of items, you will already have space/a home for them so they won’t end up on the floor. Or, if you enter a busy period and don’t have time to put everything back in the correct place right away, you can just dump it on there so the floor remains clear and the room is still usable. I think adding a trash can might help as well, so trash can be taken care of quickly and easily without ending up on the floor.

I made a wrap paping wall where I put a few poles on the wall and choose my favorite everyday gift wrap. It would be nice to put one behind your door to maximize space. It helped me minimize my gift wrap and not over buy.

I think you should get another one of the ones you have (the four along the wall ... get a 5th one) and instead of upper shelves add the Ikea pegboad and add pegs that can hold the gift bags. That way you can still organize your tissue paper in the lower drawers. For the rolls of giftware you could still stack them in a taller bucket like they are in now! Maybe something easy like a white linen basket (ditch the lid). On the back wall where the desk was you could create a gift wrapping wall. Add curtain rods all down the wall (maybe 10 rods) that can be removed from the wall frame at one end ... then you can add the rolls to them then click them back in place. P.S. I wrote this halfway into the vlog ... let me see what you came up with!

I’m older but I have a 3 ring binder with pocket inserts to save photos/doodles 😂& the last page is a montage of some of my work. I label by year.

Raven, i’ve never used this lol but I saw it online and think it could be the storage solution for Ziya’s artwork, there’s a company that will take all the art work and professionally photograph them and make it into a book! It’s called Artkive alternatively I’ve also seen people just get a fat binder and clear binder sleeves and they just put the art work in there so its still in a book all in one place, and cheaper than the first option i hope this helps 😊

Ok … hear me out … you can build a storage space for the wrapping paper: build a box and put like cylinder cones inside, make it to where 1/2 can fit in. And you can put a lid on top, attached by hinges so you can open easy. I can draw it up for you. It’s perfect to me.
