Similar situation, I just finished a fast rooty section with some rocks... relaxed because the hard part was done, went to adjust and put my pedal down... caught a rock under leaves! Good thing I was wearing knee & elbow pads, still messed up my knee - for 3 weeks couldn't ride - and a 4" gash on my arm was stopped from getting any larger by my elbow pads. Hardest crashes seem to happen when you don't expect them.

I overshot a step up to uphill, my feet came off and I landed on the front of my seat, almost knocking it off. Then I smashed into my frame, but rode out with my hands still on the grips. My tailbone hit pretty hard, but I think it’s just bruised, but wow it hurt so bad 😂

Not nearly THAT steep, lol! Tried a new harder line on a rocky section and buried my front wheel. Later on the same run, I was still shaken up from the 1st crash and went over the bars on a very small drop; the bike flipped over and hit me above the eye (super lucky my glasses were on and didn’t shatter!).

It's the only thing that really puts into perspective how steep the trails are. The wide field of view of these gopros makes everything look so tame, even being aware of it

My favorite thing about this video is the way that Rémy said "it's my first time crashing" makes it sound like thats the first crash he's ever had riding a bike. With how good he is, I almost believe it XD

My Brother that was gnarly. Your bike flew like a mile away. Thats the only way that you can tell how steep it really is insade those Mountains. Because the camaras never give justice on how steep it really is.. Be safe my dude. 🤙🏻

I remember watching you ride this section you crashed on in your other recent post and thinking how it looked like controlled falling. Lol Now we know what uncontrolled falling looks like! I cant believe how far your bike went. The bikes tumble puts the steepness in perspective. Glad you are okay!

I spear tackled the ground, wrecking my shoulder and helmet on Sunday. I was also going to slow! Super steep corner, just wasn't rolling enough and front wheel hung up on something sending me into a slow motion OTB of about 2 bike lengths.

Looked like your line was just a little too close to that log... glad to see you are ok! Was that your intended line or did you slide off-line? More speed would have carried you through without sliding as much? My last crash I simply misjudged the effect a root would have mid-corner, broke the glenoid bone in my shoulder. Trails were busy so I decided I wasn’t gonna go my regular pace. I totally checked out on a flat bit until I bumped a root and blew my left hand off. Two weeks later and I still have a rash from the poison oak... I hadn’t crashed in years...

Remy's 'big' crash: he gets up, dusts himself off and says wow, I crashed. Then keeps riding. My typical 'any' crash: I'm usually knocked out. When I come to, at least one thing is broken. I vow never to ride a mtn bike again. Ever.

I feel like a lack of control while sliding is more the reason for ur crash then the speed, you would have probably fishtailed that much at a higher speed which sometimes it’s easier to recover from but I dunno man.
