My favourite kind of FFXIV content; the drama pulled out of seemingly thin air.

Dear Wow community, please take Pyro back

Sadly this type of behavior is nothing new with Pyro. >Get overly upset at the smallest thing while forgetting to consider the full picture >Get called out on being stupid >Apologize for getting heated a day or two later with a tweet or video I have no ill will toward Pyro but he really needs to get help with quelling his anger and outbursts. He'll often use ADHD and other factors as excuses like yeah, i'm sure you've gone through some shit but that doesn't excuse you from being terrible.

As a lalafell player, I've gotten way more head pats than any form of negative encounters

So....I had the unfortunate time to do a blind first run Euphrosyne with Pyro and a group he made. I was world hopping and thought it would be fun because the requirement was to dress as the Derek NPC. I thought that's kinda cool - cosplaying as an NPC in the game. I streamed it to my small stream which is basically my friends. I literally had to muted the discord because Pyro was the rudest, self-congratulating and angriest individual I have ever met. It was disgusting. He literally had people who had already run thru the raid - so it wasn't a truly Blind run. And for someone who did more savages and raids than me, who was just a casual in comparison, well Xeno is right he sucks at the game. But there was one person who was doing the translations from the Greek words/attack names for him and Pyro kept yelling at them. Dude...it's a video game. You are getting carried by your mods and they are trying to prop you full of info so you can provide your lore takes because you're too busy being a crappy person. And the lore was the main reason why I followed him in the first place. I was done with him. After this I unfollowed him and did my research. Apparently this wacko goes crazy on his followers and fans for the smallest thing. I ended up checking in a few weeks later to see if it gotten better but he ended up angry with the chat for some reason and ended stream like an hour in and deleted the vod. Pyro just reminds me of men at my workplace that get their jollies by belittling and bullying others.

So let me get this straight. The guy who hates being clipped out of context, went on a rant for hours about Xeno's opinion and he didn't even watch the whole video and it turns out they have similar thoughts. On top of that, I've seen him watch Xeno's content multiple times on his stream in the past and now says "how is this guy popular?" He even said he was jealous of how funny Xeno's "QUESTION TIME" and him ringing the bell ideas were. The longer he went on the worse he looked. Classic pyromancer.

This is why I stopped following Pyro, at first he seems like a nice guy but as time went on, I realised that while sometimes he has some really valid points, other times he is just talking out of his arse but is too stubborn or arrogant to admit that he is wrong. He very much has the "I am always right" mentality and then he throws a temper tantrum when he is confronted with the possibility that he is wrong and just double down on his stance.

I'm.... 7 minutes in and I don't know what is wrong with this cat Pyro. I've been chased out of sundown towns because of my skintone, had former-friends tell me that the races shouldn't mix when my ex-wife is white, and I've had to fight physically because of my race before--fights where looking back could have went very poorly for me. You know what doesn't happen? None of the above when I play my lalafell character. Pyro is WILD to be acting like this. *continues video*

This is why I've been watching Xeems for 3 years, he doesn't pretend and pander, he will have takes I don't agree sometimes and that is okay. As a minority and an immigrant, I hate it when people act like they fully understand racism use it on situations to push their own agendas and act as if they're our spokesperson. I hate this self-righteous pity just so they can feel better about themselves "oh I'm here to protect your rights and freedom, you poor minority".

Pyro trying to dangle a marriage in front of a guy who's completely secure being single isn't the own he thinks it is. On that topic, I wonder how long his own "accolade" will last. If he's willing to repeatedly act this way in front of an audience, I can only imagine how insufferable he is in private.

Regardless of how dumb this drama was. I gotta say I really respect how chill Xeno was about all this, even goin as far to explain the chat memes to the outsiders.

This is why I respect Xenos. Deep down he knows that his job really is to just entertain people. Being an internet personality is about being able to behave in a way that entertains. Acting isn't about putting on, its about taking off. You have to remove yourself from the internet personality, or you'll end up like Pyromancer where everything is personal. Everything is an insult to who he is as a person. And that's not entertaining at all to watch (but reacting to it is hilarious). It's not Pyromancer you're watching. Its some guy named Taylor.

You choose to create a Lalafell, It's a choice, You don't choose to be born whatever race you were born to. Get this Pyro guy out of here with his nonsensical take, like how can you be so invested into a videogame to this extent to even compare real life to this.

Maybe one day Pyro will realize that him getting so visibly upset at everything he disagrees with online is only hurting him in the long run, when people can see that you get this upset at the drop of a hat they will go out of their way to make sure they can trigger you as often as they can. Also for the dude that hates being taken out of context, watching him do the same thing that he hates is kind of amusing.

Pyro is a man ruled by his emotions. He didn't bother watching all of Xeno's video. He doesn't bother getting his facts straight. He doesn't bother thinking the issue through. He just gets all up in his feelings and starts going off. It's a real shame because every now and then you can see glimpses of the cool guy he could be if he would just stop getting in his own way.

Pyro could have done himself a lot of favors if he stopped streaming and stuck to RU-vid. Some people just interact poorly with live chat in real time, and could benefit from having time to think about what they want to say before just blurting things out. He's not the first person who made RU-vid content I liked at one point, and soured on as soon as I saw them livestream. Edit: Holy crap, I hadn't even gotten to 1:00:57 yet. The incredible lack of self awareness is staggering. Although to his credit, he did walk it back. Eventually, in another video. On RU-vid, where he should stay for his own sake.

Pyro is like someone learning fighting games. Only he's shit at them and kept winning by mashing A, only now he's hit Xeno and he can't beginners luck his way through.

This Pyro dude is incredibly good at the art of Dying On A Hill and never admitting to a mistake. Everything I've watched about him is like a cycle: Explodes over nothing. Uses terrible analogies. Gets madder for tangential things. Like YOU not understanding the analogy (topic is now irrelevant). Telling others to do better, no matter what point is brought up, and it's no fault on his side. Like telling Xenos when to say what in his video instead of watching it all. Apologizes at the end in the most gaslighting manner (I am sorry, I didn't meant to get angry, but it's YOUR FAULT I WAS ANGRY TO BEGIN WITH!!). Every. Fucking. Time. Funny, if anything I know get more who or how Xenos is and I am more interested in watching more of him.

Pyro is originally from the WoW streaming community (didn't like him then either) He's known for yelling at folks. He's just a very angry person in general honestly... I really do believe people only watch him for his shit takes and his anger outbursts and not his actual content. Or at least that's all I ever see of the fucking dude on videos.

This whole thing is hilarious. What really got me the best was when the whole DSR thing. I really didn't care or knew that Pyromancer was a streamer. We ended up together in a Rubicante EX farm party. Let's just say, he was bad at the game. We wiped twice. Then he called us complete shit and other stupid things on his stream. Then he was claiming his mod (was a reaper) was doing the most damage in the party when it's like, bruh. I was doing the most damage as DNC, followed by the Summoner I Dance Partnered. Thing is, we wiped first pull because Pyro didn't go to the right spot during the pizza slices mechanics. But okay, tell the Quadruple Legend he is bad at an extreme. Lmao.

Pyro getting angry by default tells me a bit about how he is in real life. It tells me that he's used to getting the moral high ground and then indignantly angry and then using this moral superiority to perform character assassinations. And this strategy has succeeded in his life more times than not, whether it's because people around him take it well, or they just don't want to quarrel with him when he's like this. It's not that he's right, but more that his actions don't have notable negative consequences in his personal life. This has in turn fed his ego, but at the same time didn't fix his self-esteem issues, which funnelled his belief in getting angry until he earns social approval even more, all the while being unable to dissociate himself from his streamer persona and struggling to believe that his channel is drowning in toxicity.

After watching Pyromancer streams for a few days back when he was in Heavensward, I quickly realized how unhinged he was and stopped watching. Glad to see nothing's changed. Saw most of this on Asmon's YT earlier...just gonna say that all this malding Pyro is doing is his typical MO. He did this all the damn time in WoW too. Drama and stirring up shit with other content creators is the only way he can stay relevant.

I lost interest in Pyro's videos not long after he did 5.3, and I tried to watch him on Twitch and I was reminded as to why I never watch anyone live on Twitch. Especially when we have RU-vid where I can simply watch the VOD and just simply fast-forward thru all of the stalling. Pyro's stalling was almost as bad as Stallingway's. His legendary rant is what drew me in the first place, but it got real boring real fast. Fast forward to March 2023, where I legitimately forgot that Pyro was still streaming. That's how irrelevant he has become to me.

As a black man I've experienced racism truly once, and it was from my friends mother. She asked her son to kick me out of the house. We joke about it, but that shit really hurt. I'll never forget about that day and that was like 15 16 years ago.

Pyro has a lot of anger issues, and I think if he wants to continue streaming, he'll have to continue working on that until he is capable of not taking baits from trolls that are trying to piss him off. Because every time I hear about Pyro, it's about some drama about him, which seems to be like the only thing that makes him even remotely relevant these days. I am a white/hispanic male. And while I haven’t really faced objective racism like some others may have, and probably never will. I have in fact been on both sides of the coin on the bullying spectrum. Let me tell you, if you face true, real harrassment such as bullying. I realized that harrassing someone makes them feel like shit. That is how it made me feel, after all. I realize this because, another thing I learned about myself, is that I can be quite the empathetic person. I may not have words or a solution all the time but I can resonate with others pain. I have helped friends with tough shit by just sitting next to them and saying nothing or letting them vent to me in a discord call. Through that, I suppose it allowed me to realize this; harrassment and being angry for people is a waste of energy. Energy that I could be using for something more meaningful and positive. Of course, there are times where I do make a stand, but those situations, where I feel its nessasary to go up and say my piece, they are rare, expecially so on the internet when the problem can be solved by clicking the handy “block user” button. I also realized that there are even more people that are just upset about something completely unrelated to the topic at hand. To use the chair drama as an example; I may be wrong about this but most of the comments I read regaurding the infantization of lalafells can be boiled down to this: They were denied access to an RP venue one time and that upset them. Now, I am no RPer but from what I can tell most venues in FFXIV have some faccets of ERP attatched to them, if not just a full blown 18+ night club with blackjack and hookers. I can think of several reasons why club workers would be uncomfortable servicing a lalafell. Very tangable and in some instances, legal reasons. Sure your lalafells lore might say they’re 32, but I am fairly certain the FBI won’t care about that. Worst of all, if they wanted to go to the ERP venue, there is a quick and easy 10 dollar solution they can take that will magically get rid of all of their problems! A solution that is unique to the virtual space we share. Like yeah, just being called a pedo for playing a lalafell is bullshit, and you should report them if it isn’t true because thats just harrassment, heck report then even if you aren’t playing lalafell! But if you want to be taken seriously all the time, maybe you shouldn’t of picked the silly, childlike race. At least unlike the minorties in real life, you got to pick in the first place.

I would stand for Pyro back in the day, especially during all the awful stuff regarding Blizzard.
