This is a 1977 GE Superthrust Air Conditioner. Unit was sitting in an abandoned now being resurrected building. It was going to be junked and then I Saved it and will be restoring it to full glory. The unit runs perfectly well and blows ice cubes even before a good thorough cleaning. I’m looking forward to the restoration of this.

@@samuel_productions thanks! These units could be found everywhere, but to find one that wasn’t really exposed to the elements as bad as most were indeed a nice find. These old machines are something to be thought of in 2024 as they will still kick and will never give up. The compressor is one of GE’s own rotaries of in-house design and with the oil cooler that was put on this compressor it runs much cooler than a modern rotary of today’s era. Too bad the coil cooler add on still not be used or else modern rotaries would last just as long as these vintage ones.

@@sirisaac1991 really? I would like to know if there’s any video of those because I’ve never heard of one using a Matsushita rotary before. I’m more familiar with the ones that use either a Tecumseh recip for real big units and a GE rotary of in-house design for medium and smaller sized units.
