@@sampreece3900dawg I was on the east coast of Florida today and I was body surfing little waves but they were huge to me cuz I live in the west coast of FL and there’s no waves, and I was getting rag dolled I can’t imagine how this shit feels🤣🤣🤣
I can't stop smiling. This so takes me back. So much fun,and adding a lil boogy board just makes it that much more suicidal 😆 like sledding with The Blue Disk
Naw man Florida is surprisingly easy to bodysurf, when it’s a wave of this size it is way easier and you almost can’t get out unless you let yourself fall :/ 😐🤔
Cali oceans and Mexican oceans will put you under most of the time, either too cold too warm too much wind chill from room temp ocean air as your body picks it up as cold or too big of waves
Gotta learn to butterfly out of breaking waves but good to see even if.hes.bdly.placed for take off. Lol loved riding the pipe line at North Narrabeen Sydney Austrslia till boards took it over.
They've breaking from one side to another. They're also not dumping too steeply. You can tell because when the wave is breaking, it breaks onto itself, rather than the water ahead of it, indicating that it didnt curl over too hard
ГГ9 not really unless u can touch sandbar and push yourself into barrel but the fins help u a lot and u can try and paddle go keep up with the wave looks like pipeline barrels or Waimea's shore break
For large waves like these, fins are essential. The fins you see at the end, DaFin, are a very popular brand with lifeguards and bodysurfers. Less popular, but important at some big-wave spots, are Viper fins from Newport Beach, California. Leblon Fins is a new entry into the market, promising faster swimming. The people behind Leblon are also promoting rethinking and retraining for surf swimming. The bodysurfers in this video are great athletes.
Depends on the wave and the person, bodysurfed 8-13 ft Waimea bay last Saturday even though I forgot my fins, it was fun but taxing since I had to swim as fast as possible and hold my breath for abnormally long periods of time. As long as your not planning on getting that long of a ride and just love the feel of the drop you’ll have fun on those steeper hollow waves. Rolling waves not so much. Also on shallower reef breaks you can’t duck dive deep so the speed fins provide that helps you to not get pulled over the falls is imperative.
Reichart ? Doesn't look fun ? Wipeouts n holdowns n duckdives... Please that's half the fun you Gaylord , anyways killa video and cheers from Australia for uploading. Cheers
