Great haul! That swung vase is awesome. Likely made by LE Smith, the color is called bittersweet. $7 is an amazing price for it! I wish I had more thrifted more Halloween this year to participate in your collab! I feel like the stores went straight to Christmas around me. (I think people are ready to hit fast forward on this year for some reason.) LOL
You have found so many great things for Halloween spookiness and vignettes. Oh your swung vase, now I remember that I have an orange/purple vase somewhere in my stash. Love the game chips and the stitched ceramic mouse, the ephemera and pumpkins 🎃. So much goodness, thank you for sharing! Gretchen
Well I about flipped when I saw your flocked black cat Halloween card! I have one just like it that my grandparents sent to me when I was a little girl! Love those playing card tally score cards! They are amazing! I have a vintage Probe game from my childhood but yours is way cooler! Mine doesn’t have the individual letters … I have seen that game a lot lately! I will look inside and see if it has the letters next time! It is a very fun game! I wanted to participate but sadly did not find seven items 😔. This was a great haul and very fun to watch! Oh yea loved that tin can too!
What great Halloween and Fall pieces, Erin!👍 My favorites -- the cute 🎃 and the two Giftcraft 'Leaves' pieces at the end. 🍂🍁 The black cat flocked card is sweet, too! Love your videos! 🧡🇨🇦
Sweetest finds, so many great prices! What a fun surprise to find the matching ceramic vase to go with the pumpkin! Love the spooky Gurley candles and pages from the children's book! :)
Love, love, love the pair of small cups with the orange flowers. Could they be for Japanese sake? I remember The Biway stores (black and gold tin). Before Dollarama and Dollartree, there was Biway! That was the place for thrifty frugal shoppers. As usual, your eye for items that connect a holiday theme is right on point. Loved it all👍❤️
Love it all!! My very favorite time of year is fall & Halloween is so fun!! Especially love all of the black cats!! I have 2 real ones 🖤🖤🖤 the tally cards are awesome!! 🎃👻☠️
Hi Erin..... great finds. Love the lidded Leaves bowl... so pretty. I haven't been thrifting since the middle of March... and don't think I'll be doing any till the new year sometime. I remember getting flocked cards for my birthday when I was little, back in the 50's - 60's.
I love that the bridge cards were already used- and those names were precious! The harvest color of the pitcher is lovely. And I’d never heard of Gurley candles. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Erin🤗 Not only are you so adorable but you found some amazing - and unique items! I had so much fun watching your video! I have to say I was just smitten with that haunted house pottery piece. SO unusual and spooky- it's going to look great. Loved the illustrations in the book and those unique Japan pieces as well. BUT the swung candy corn vase was phenomenal. I have never seen one footed like that. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing and for co-hosting this wonderful collab💕😊🎃👻 Congrats on 25K👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😊
Love the last 2 pcs. Glad you don't purposely destroy books. I don't unless book is musty, torn, binding falling apart. Are your fall colors good now, or past on Canada? Michigan is turning beautiful right now!
I will! Also some of the pages lend themselves to being framed with the poems, so I’m going to do that. I love displaying the poetry around the house too! Thanks so much for watching!
GREAT Finds!! Here's a tip regarding musty smelling vintage ephemera: 1. You can place the ephemera spread out in the natural sunlight. And also sprinkle dry ground coffee in a bag and seal - the dry coffee will absorb any musty odor. Charcoal filters (like those used for fish tank water filters) works great as well, enclose ephemera and add the charcoal. Or you can use those wash enhance smell beads made by Downy - they are high fragrance - place dry "Downy" crystals in a cut up nylon stocking and seal ephemera up in a bag with Downey dry washer crystals.
You really have great ideas for decorating. I love your vintage cards. I’ve been trying to find a vintage Christmas greeting card with kittens, for a relative, to put with her gift. She has 3 cats, and loves vintage clothing. Can you tell me where you found yours? I’ve never ordered anything like that before. Thank you for sharing your great deals. A friend of mine and I are going shopping tomorrow at a couple of antique stores in our area. Maybe I’ll get lucky and find one there. Happy Fall & Halloween 🍁🍂🌾🎃
Thank you for hosting! I decorate with black cats, too and I LOVE the ones you found. I loved the cards, the names on the back were so great 😆 That JAJ Pyrex is so great! I’m going to have to hunt that one down myself!
Great video, Erin! Those bridge score cards are awesome. It’s amazing that they have survived since 30’s. Edna and Blanche must have had a fun time. The flocked cat card is darling and is so classically vintage. That Pyrex dish is absolutely perfect for Halloween. What a find! Thanks for hosting and sharing.
