I love Lataffa and Armaf scents after watching several of the videos you have done. The smells are amazing as well as the prices. Thanks for all the great vids.
Ooohh, sweet. A Gargoyles reference! I bet nobody here knows about that!! A collaborative project with Jonathan Frankes and Marina Sirtis! And, oh boy, if you don't know who those two are.....😂
Flanker opportunities abound. "Grilled Human" adds a touch of smoke, "Marinated Human" adds some salty notes, "Human au Poivre" adds spicy black pepper...
I find it hypocritical how anything released by a company like Lattafa will forever be labeled as a clone with a somewhat negative connotation. Same thing with the new premium Armaf releases. Yet no one would call Haltane a clone of Initio OFG, or YSL MYSLF as a clone of....whatever- meh? or Givenchy Reserve Prive / Valentino Uomo Intense as clones of DHI with a twist. And the list could go on and on with the copy pasted designers everyone praises as "fragrances of the year". Just because something is in a certain scent family doesn't mean they are automaticly clones. At the end of the day its near impossible to come up with something today that doesn't remind you of something else. Im not saying they AIN'T clones couse frankly i never smelled any of these and yea i know that Lattafa in the early stages was a blatant clone house, but companies can move on and grow you know? I don't have a horse in this race and i couldn't care less about ANY company but i hate hypocrisy and snobism where price tag and branding dictates how we perceive something. If a fragrance is affordable then "meh its a mediocre clone" but if it says JPG or PdM on the bottle then its the best thing since sliced bread (and thats coming from someone who's favourite scent ever is actually a PdM).
You have a point, but designer and niche companies get called out all the time. PDM is often labeled as a niche company offering overpriced designer scents. Roja is notorious for having fragrances extremely similar of stuff from Guerlain. The designer market is overrun with fragrances that share a similar scent profile. Clone brands aren’t the only ones with the finger pointed at them.
Lattafa and Maison Alhambra makes me question the price to make every single designer perfume . And makes me appreciate how for $30 bucks you can have amazing presentation and amazing scent with performance. Everyone else in the fragrance world step your game up!!
I know!! Some people hate on both the packaging and the juice but I love the bottles. If they were lightweight, plastic I would understand but the boxes, bottle designs are beautiful and interesting. The perfumes in my opinion are made of excellent quality and are well balanced and blended. Many times out performs the OG the only thing is that many times you must aerate the fragrance then allow time to do it’s magic and the fragrance is then amazing. Honestly, I enjoy the maceration process. I think a lot of people who collect as a hobby enjoy the journey the perfume takes. I have just started journaling about them, I wish that I had started journaling sooner. The only thing that I don’t like about the ME brands is some times the same house will release the same juice in different bottles. Although, I enjoy seeing how different houses clone the same OG fragrances. I like trying to distinguish who duped it best or who improved upon it. Sorry for the long response but your comment is so true and I appreciate it and agree.
Dua Poseidons Absolu is the best clone I have. It’s a clone of the new Aventus Absolu and it’s better in my opinion because it’s an Elixer. And I have tons of clones, don’t know why Ash doesn’t review Alexandria and Dua, they have the best clones.
Lattafa emeer the first one kind of reminds me of the tiziana terenzi gold bottles and boxes! Not sure if it’s cloning something from that line up but looks like it to me
So knowing most lattafa frags benefit from maceration/maturation, and, scents usually smell better / different off skin, I feel full days wear is in order, so Mr Gent Scents, you have work to do, it's a smelly job but someone has to do it.
Vintage Radio reminds me of vintage cleaning products. Harsh opening and the dry down smells like burt cardboard. Stings the nostrils a bit. Had to sell the bottle but only got $3 for it. Very disappointed
@@franknitti100Real tales by moonlight. Imagine paying almost $35 for a fragrance and selling the bottle for $3. If you're gonna lie, be more convincing.
I really like Ashton and he was one of a couple, who introduced me into Fragrances. I have watched so many videos till today but it comes to an end 😢. While I was watching his video, I wanted to know the name again of #6. so I went to the description and on top, I’ve found only 5 Links and AGAIN!!!!!!!! no Name of the fragrance next to the Link. I know how affiliate links work but what he does is NOT helpful and friendly to everyone watching his videos 😡. Sorry that I am that mad but ENOUGH is ENOUGH !!!!!!! PS if you ever read this comment @Ash: i wish you all the best for your health and for your channel. Thanks for all your videos and help trough the years 😘
I had a chance to smell both of them. They both have an extremely musty smell that reminds of a nursing home. So if you like how old people smell you'll love it ❤️
@@Snk13_ty I kind of had the same feeling about the real Initio Paragon and Bleu Electrique, got some samples in and was especially unimpressed with Bleu Electrique imo an inferior version of LNDL.
Love your videos and really respect your "Nose". I have made a lot of blind buys based on your reviews. I have to ask ... do you have a stand up comedy background? if not have you ever considered it? but stay focused on the videos, they are very entertaining and informative. Happy New Year
Love your content allround! Quick question. Asad after about an hour smells to me almost the same as Oud for Glory. Am I crazy?? Keep going! Greetings from Netherland
@@yobozobozo4468, well..the Asad I received a sample of that I tested today. The opening was indeed very different. The Oud for Glory I also own...for about a half year now. Once the Asad reached the complete dry down I couldn't help but notice that I knew that smell. And yeah like I did... It is however absolutely possible that sample must sit for a few more days, maybe it changes. Wouldn't be the first time. Thank you for your reply. Greetings from Netherland
I was kinda hoping 'Raw Human' was gonna be an ELdO Secretions Magnifiques dupe. I'd be interested in you doing a Masa vs Celestial vs Ganymede comparison, Ash.
Any videos coming up for defy parfum ? I’ve already ordered it from Macys so I guess a review won’t be necessary but would still like to hear your thoughts
Wish you would've grabbed one that deserved a skin test. Anyway the packaging means a lot to me. Awesome video as always. Doing a BR 540 clone today. Peace 2024
