Love that Topps did this when they got the rights back! I actually met Mantle when I was 9. My dad took me to a card convention where he was signing baseballs. That ball is the prize of my collection and sits on display in my office now! Keep up the awesome content Stryker!

Love this Topps dedication to Mantle. He was one of my dads favorite baseball players. Awesome pull on that 1/1. It's 1/1 I don't need to be graded but if it was it would get a PSA 9/10 or a BGS 9 9.5

I never understood why anyone would grade a 1/1. Is it authenticity? There's nothing to compare it to so if it comes back an 8 or 9, do you think this would have any bearing on whether someone bought it or not? "Oh, it's a PSA 8 1/1? If it was a PSA 9 1/1 I would have bought it." Just doesn't make sense to me, but then again, I'm not the sharpest tack in the box.

Damn 1 of 1 ! Crazy cool hit. Keep that and grade it. Normally people don't grade 1/1s but it'll increase value anyways so why not.

So im assuming these can be weighed? I'm tempted to buy some boxes off of Ebay. These were originally on Topps website for 10 bux a Mantle box but I missed the sale. 😕. The MANTLE and Berra blue was sweet.

I have yet to open my 10 boxes. Thought it would be a fairly cheap raffle for a Mantle auto... at least a couple of nice parallels hopefully.

I wonder if Mrs Mantle, the mother of Mickey Mantle, ever wore a Mantle? I assume so during the winter, when the ground was covered with a Mantle of snow. And I bet once Mrs Mantle's son, Mickey Mantle, started winning awards, she would place them on her Mantle.

Man I got one box and it came in a bubble wrap envelope and the box is damaged. I reached out to topps. Not sure why they did not send it in a small box.
