front hatch is a very hard to reach spot.... never use it on the water anyway... i keep extra pfd for emergency .... bout it... dead space... perfect for fish cooler

You are supposed to tie to the bottom eye and bring the line up the shaft and zip tie the anchor line to the top eye. this way if it gets stuck and you pull hard, you break the zip tie, anchor flips upside down and lets go of the bottom. great question... its hard.... i made a few bad calls on the seas last summer thinking it was golden and ended up a little to rough... i watch noaa marine forecast... i watch the bob hall pier surf cam online a lot! its hard on the mid texas coast cuz the wind likes to constantly blow...mid to late summer is the best chance for calm seas... east texas thru florida panhandle, the wind is much less...

I love the BTB stuff Ty! Mad props on managing that king with the lefty and spearing him with the righty. That's multi tasking. I'll be down there first week of April fishin and kitesurfing. Can't freakin wait!

Hey ty, I just did a search and found this older video of yours. At the end, you were cutting up a king into slits on one side and pulling out balls of meat. Any specifics on how your doing that, or does the meat just come out like that if you cut the 1 inch slits down the side of the fish, and then pull out the meat? Looking for more info on this...thanks

The thing is about the stinger- snell the stinger with braided wire, then snell that to your first hook so you dont have to use crimps than haywire twist with your single strand to your main. sounds complicated, but its simple and very effective and you dont have to change the rigs you already have.

thats about perfect... i had a 6000 spooled with 30braid on severl episodes... my fav king rig... it fell overboard... sad day

they are... when water temp gets below 75 they start heading out to the warmer waters of the gulf stream... they dont show back up to the texas coast till water hits 70's again.. this was filmed last august...

Ty...ive been going through some of your btb videos...and this was a good one. Can you do a video or provide a litte more detail on how you were cutting that kingfish into what sounded like you called them...kingballs. Inch and a half cuts down both sides im assuming, but not going through the backbone. After that, how were you pulling the meat chunks out? That looks like a great way for me to cut and clean a kingfish on the beach when we are Land Based shark fishing and out there for 2 or 3 day

just find something in the $40-$50 range that feels good to you. I don't really have a preference. You want a super light one ya gotta spend a little more.
