When my mom died sudden , My dad moved in with us ( My hubby, 2 sons and a daughter) . Dad said it would only be for a year at the most , That was 15 yrs ago. We do not care, as It truly has been a blessing and great for the kids. He has been with us a horrible car accident that my son was in, He has been thru my oldest son moving out , dad was here when my youngest son moved out, dad was here when my oldest son got married, youngest son got engaged and dad was here to see my daughter grow to work in a hospital in cardio and date her boyfriend for 8 yrs and now talking marriage. Dad has been thru every thing with us and that has helped me transition to today.I said it already but it truly has been a blessing to have him here with us. I hope you enjoy it as well as it is a change but it is also memories .

And he helped me to as when mom died it hit me hard but I had to stay strong for my fam and dad, so it was a blessing for all. Now as he is older in his early 80s It good he is here so I can watch over him and not worry, Plus he still goes out everyday and acts like he is in his 60s lol, but his body is not able to do much but his head says keep trying lol

@susiex6669
@susiex6669 3 года назад
Yes, a lot of people confuse French and Italian pronunciation. The "ch" is hard in Italian, soft in French. In Italian the "sh" sound is "c" in front of "e" and "i". In French, "ch" is the "sh" sound in front of all the vowels. I think thats why some people get confused.

I am not a morning person AT ALL.... so when my kids were smaller everynight after supper/baths they had to get their clothes out for the next day. Homework and backpacks at the front door on top of their shoes and lunches made in the fridge. The only thing I really had to worry about is their breakfast. To this day my youngest still gets her clothes out the night before (for work), makes her lunch and has her breakfast prepped.

Just a note about making miso soup: the miso paste isn't all you need. You also need dashi soup stock, or if you're vegan/vegetarian, kombu. Are you able to find dashi where you are? ♥ (Microwaving chocolate is the best way to melt it, but ideally on 50% power. You'll need a minute or so longer, but it's good insurance against scorching.☺)

Orecchiette: ore-eh-KYEH-teh. Stress on the next to last syllable. The "R" should be lightly trilled, but if you can't do it, say it American; it's fine. There's a tiny hitch or hiccup on the doubled letters, but that's a pretty tough one to both hear and master, so you can leave it off, too, if you need to.😊 Italian "ch" is pronounced hard, like a "k", as are "ca/co/cu." Italian "ci" and "ce" are pronounced soft, "chee" and "cheh" (or "shee" and "sheh" if you're Florentine).

I like your channel more with every video I watch. In this one, these are the things that make me feel great. You spill ingredients while your cooking, you keep all of your measuring spoons & cups in a container so you can just grab that when you need it, you use disposable gloves while your cooking & finally you love & your Cuisinart food processor. I can relate to all of these. My kitchen & I are always a mess when I cook, I store my measuring cups & spoons the same way, and Cuisinart is the best. This Sept I will have been married for 47 years. My mom & dad gave us a Cuisinart food processor for our first Christmas. It's been 3 years since we had to replace it. They're very dependable products.As for the gloves, I have a medical condition that makes my skin really dry, so I use them so I'm not washing them constantly. Last but not least, you have a great sense of humor & wonderful content. You've got me hooked!!!

Hi Christine! The Moroccan tajine sauce is actually really easy to recreate. I have a Moroccan heritage and here is how my mother taught me how to do it in the oven (as she knows I am efficient): mix a chopped onion with powdered garlic, some chicken bouillon, ginger, turmeric and pepper. Stir. Rub the sauce to the meat. Add water. I always prep chicken thighs with the tajine sauce and it takes 20 minutes every single time, at 430 Fahrenheit. I personally do not add salt to the dish because of the bouillon but you can if you want to. Besides, I believe you could make the sauce as is on the stove. I would use leftover sauce and eat it on top of rice back in the days. I will try your bar recipe :) .

For thinning your chocolate chips for dipping, use a little bit of paraffin wax. For a bag of chocolate chips, i cut a block that is about the size of an ice cube or a bit smaller to toss in and melt with the chocolate chips. The paraffin takes longer to melt than the chocolate ... I use a double boiler for this and not the microwave so as not to scorch the chocolate.

I acquired a husband and children who liked it and one day at a fancy high end restaurant I had a salad with Irish Cashel Bleu cheese. Not one to make a spectacle of myself by picking it out or shoving it aside, I actually tried it. Game Changer! Have loved good bleu since then. All bleus not created equal, fer sure.

I love breakfast burritos. I skip the separate cooking if the eggs and chorizo though. I cook the chorizo then add the eggs to it. Comes out awesome.

I know this is late but if you combine chunky bluee cheese salad dresding with horseradish, it makes an awesome sauce thing for beef. Sorry for the technical terms. Haha

1 lb meat, 1 bag of cheese, 1 carton of eggs and those fajita/taco sized tortillas is what I've used for years. Wrap in waxed paper, put all in a bag in the freezer. My son lived on them.

If you fold the sides first on the tortilla no matter the size, usually it’s a lot easier to roll up💗
