one technique that people use for fluids is they use nets that are included in some sets and use 2 plates where the studs go through the net to clamp together. so that the flex is done by the rope and it usually turns out really great. Another option that doesn't use lego nets is to use paper with holes punched in it with a hole puncher. not as sturdy but significantly cheaper if you don't have the nets. I also love the A frame and will be trying to budget to get one :)
I like the little "clouds" at the base of the waterfall. My suggestion would be to add some transparent blue 1x1 tiles (round, half-round w/e looks "organic") onto the studs on those clouds to add to the mist effect. Looking forward to seeing how you solve the waterfall itself.
Ahh, I am so excited for the A-frame cabin! I haven't gotten a Lego set in over a year and that might be my next one. I am eagerly waiting for the review embargo to lift so I can see what everyone has to say about it. I really hope it happens this week.
The city Looks So Good. The waterfall is incredible. Love all the hills. And the little trees OMGOSH they are so cute. This looks insane. Keep up this amazing work. Can't wait to see it finished.
The A frame cabin might look better if the other parts are together with the main build. You should use duplo bricks under the hills to save regular bricks. I like the home vlog style of the video, and the ad starting with the billboard. Great update
I am SO stoked for the A-Frame, it's a perfect companion for the Tree House. I plan on connecting them with some sort of lake or river, maybe steal your girl scout idea and make a little campground in between. You and Ross have been doing a fantastic job upgrading the nature area of your city! The hills are really coming together, the elevation changes add a bunch of realism. The waterfall is starting to look amazing, but *maybe* not quite as good as Ross's rendition of TLC 👏😆
Definitely liking the update to the city, you could add in some small rocks with sloped tiles and 1x1 round quarter tiles. Loving the nature feel and it just looks great overall
U should add 1x1 round plates in clear and light blue right in front of the clouds at the bottom of the waterfall. Definitely use smaller plates like 1x8 or 2x8 plates for the waterfall and use them in white, blue and black only so the look of the tran blue and clear on top of them(the water) has variants to it's color and depth. U can also try using 2 1x4's next to each other in length (so they r the same length as the 1x8's) in just white and blue or blue and black to give even more variation in color and depth. u can also make the gaps smaller by breaking the 90° angle of drop into 2 smaller 45° slopes in a small span by adding a few gears under the waterfall. Hope this helps.
Looking great. I wish I was able to make something as big but starting on smaller things first. The waterfall update is great. Make sure to add in some different coloured / translucent plates to add a more natural flow look and I assume (sorry if I missed) that you are going to motorise it? Would look absolutely brilliant! Maybe you could have the little clouds in front of it bob up and down (not that I have any idea how you would do that!)?
Your lego city has really taken a turn for the better! Great stuff and I’m thinking of getting that cabin to turn it into a gravity falls mystery shack!
I feel like the knight is just having fun LARPing in nature, now that I see that, I actually want to get that figure now. Also have you tried to use turn tables to angle the cabin? Just a thought.....
I think the waterfall would look more natural if you use trans blue and maybe white cheeseslopes, but I don't know if this will work with the mechanics. But great job!
REGARDING THE WATERFALL: Use the net pieces? That way they can flow down the curve as well as solve the gap issue (since only the ends would need to be fixed. It gives you the natural water bend as well as offer more options to vary the water texture. Yes rock cliff I need to build some to and train Tunnle. .I just moved house. And just started ree setting up my city sticking with simler lay out but adding more road s and set s. 😊 I like y'all green Hill s you started adding. I need do do some thing simler.
Also the well - why would a person living in a cabin walk across a natural water source to get water from a well? IMO the well should be on the same side of the bridge as the cabin. Hauling water is hard work!
The water fall looks so nice but I can't believe that the Disney castle and the sesame street Lego's are retiring I just got my hands on the sesame street lego set
A good thing to do for elevation bricks is buy a load of 2 nd hand brick s that are not as good. As. New brick s and keep the. New brick for other build s.

Suggestion for the waterfall.. You can check channel LEGOParadise for "Working Lego Waterfall" for ideas on how to motorize it or make it look more smooth.
