I will say about the whole "not recognizing it was parts from poppy, as someone who works with various existing assets, it really depends. If you dont really have an eye for 3D modeling, you wouldnt recgonize wether or not something has stolen assets or not. Multiple people to this day believe my OC was made fully from scratch, when it realy its all existing assets meshed toghether. So it's very normal for the dev of bokkie to not recognize the assets, as he stated himself, he is not a 3D modeler, which usually means he would be least likely to gure out if something is taken, or remade/inspired from other things
@@ZukuUzu Thank you for showing people that is very hard to know that the model is not made from scratch or has stolen stuff because if I could notice I wouldn't use it
@@ZukuUzu yes now the project I'm working on it , I made a Group of 3D Modelers and they will made everything from scratch and they should record the process of making it , and they are all from the same country I'm from , that will make things simple and easy and also professional
Hey, as a matter of fact, thanks for making this video! I deleted those screenshots from the twitter thread but sent them separately to Isaac, with a proof of payment, the model was made back in 2022, I was 16 years old. Though Isaac have all the information plus the reply of the 3rd party commissioned. If you wish you can pin this. Me and AJB got it settled, it was pretty stupid of me as well, I’m not a character designer, I mostly code, so my eye aint that good, I found out about it being copyrighted 2 weeks ago. And remember it was made in 2022. Best of luck!
Thanks bro for helping me in this problem and I'm sorry I mentioned you on it , I know you did not the mistake and I know you are a good man and I trust you and keep going
I’m just confused why the dev didn’t just come out and say that from the beginning?? Everything could’ve been solved so much quicker if his first response was “oh I didn’t know anything about the model, I didn’t make that” but instead he just went on a whole spiel about “oh these people don’t like my game because they’re racist” “they don’t want indie developers to succeed” “I spent so much time and effort into this game” Even with the situation somewhat cleared up, it still doesn’t exactly make AJB a good person, they’re clearly very spiteful and narcissistic when it comes to facing criticism which is definitely not a very reliable quality to have as a game developer. When you’re starting out, you need to be able to take honest criticism at least somewhat seriously especially when faced with blatant factual evidence of wrong doing. Deflecting and berating anyone that talks about your game in even the slightest negative aspect is not the way to gain success and improve on your craft and it is most definitely not the mindset of a person that wants to put “time and effort” into a game like this. It’s lazy and cheap with zero self reflection.
It could be possible that the reference images could have been AI generated. But again if it's straight up plagiarism then it is bad. At least with AI you can tell it not to copy specific properties and such or use the images as concept art.
The editor should beg uhyeah to make a five nights at wario video cause seriously the series is so good and honestly the 3rd five nights at wario game could get its own video for how big it is
I don't think there's any evidence he faked those racist DMs. And it's at least possible that AJB genuinely thought that at least one of the reviews they screenshotted was racist, due to the whole "not a native English speaker" thing.
@@GigasGMX No evidence, but they're Just so painfully cartoonish(i mean, "you Made a good Game but i don't want anyone to Play it because it's from africa"), and also written in the Same way the dev writes, and we don't See the conversation as a whole, ONLY the Message, so For all we Know, this could be Part of an Incredibly Long and pleasant convo in which the two were mocking racists, or they Just asked a friend to Type that.
The worst part for me is the fact that they didn't even stole stuff worth stealing. Literally anyone can make a bowtie and teeth, that's next level lazy
And it was my fault to not verify the model that used stolen stuff from Poppy , I'm sorry for using it on the game , I'm really sorry that I used that Model I didn't know that it's used stolen stuff from Poppy
@@enderkatze6129 No it was not fake , I have proof , it was a racism after the gameplay " Penguinz0" Did and it was few people who attacked me because the game is like Poppy and stuff like that , It was the very first week of the game release
@@ajbgamesstudio5463 yeaa probably dont claim racism to a copyright claim cus copyright is about them thinking you stole something that doesnt have much to do with racism
@ajbgamesstudio5463 It’s okay to feel stressed and stuff!!! But calling innocent people racist isn’t really the way to go abt it……and I’m saying this as someone who is black. /positive
I think it's still weird that Crows sold a model that they themselves never made to begin with anyway. Either way, they still made money off of someone else's work. Nothing worth, like, killing them over or anything. But not exactly "OK", I would think.
i think the screenshots that the publisher sent badd3st indicate that they lost money on the model 💀💀 the publisher bought it for something like $150 and sold it for $80, so they lost like half the value when they sold it to AJB
Tbh, I'm iffy about reselling things like models, characters, etc. Because in some cases, such as ones where the character wouldn't fit, isn't being used, or is hilariously terrible, I would understand selling it at a marked down price. Not to mention, you're getting back money you wasted on something by selling it. However, it is someone else's work (even if terrible), and it makes it a difficult situation. Not this one though, this was straight up just ripping off AJB for a shitty model, paying $80 for that crap is INSANE.
Hello , I want to say that Paul ( GalacticCrows ) sells the model to me but he is not who made it , the real modeler for Sparky model he is who made the mistake of stealing stuff from Poppy + I removed everything that Mob entertainment told me to remove and their QA played the game and approved it to be back on steam
It's pretty embarrassing (for Mob) that their QA didn't catch that Sparky's body is just Huggy's body squashed, but (given the rest of the circumstances) I don't think it reflects badly on you. That said, you should probably either take the game down or replace Sparky's model entirely--right now, Mob could come after you *again* over the lips or body if they wanted to.
Honestly if the editor could make uhyeah make a five nights at wario video I bet it could take at least a hour or more maybe even 2 if it covers all the stuff in the series
Baddest’s video actually adds a few things to this case: • GalacticCrows actually undersold the model, charging AJB $80 for the model when they initially payed $150 for it • AJB is not a native English speaker- he’s from Africa and that likely made things a bit more difficult to talk about (though I won’t defend him for his very flimsy claims of racism) • The third party modeler seems to think they’re innocent in this situation and outright said as much to Baddest. They claimed that they got the model off a modeling site that claimed the model was free to use, and tried to accuse Baddest of hurting the indie game scene bc “he made the model out of love and passion” • Before Baddest’s video went up the modeler apparently sent an email trying to give Baddest a different statement through email likely bc they or someone they work with realized how shitty of an apology it was.
That sucks hope the dev learns soon background check or at less asked for a portfolio because it could lead to legal problems or higher someone that’s not qualified to do the job
Is it that hard to make an original monster that doesn’t copy from other monsters in horror games? It shouldn’t be hard to make your original character
It's insane that AJB Game just threw their own partner Galactic crows under the bus and blamed them for supplying them the model and leaking private conversations between each other Or possibly just lying and taking the conversation out of context Just the save their own ass it's so unbelievably pathetic, it's just pure comedy at this point.
no not like that , I feel pressed and everyone blames me for the Model and I'm not the model maker from the beginning , paul he is my friend and he still my friend and that was a small problem we fixed it
Honestly pretty bad takes? Pinning innocence on both parties (Bokkie dev and Galactic Crows) is like a naively charitable read on this situation Whether or not the Bokkie Dev knew, it is still ultimately their game and their responsibility that infringing content ended up inside the product- just as it is their responsibility to fix the mess and be accountable none of which they have done nor have they done regarding negative reviews or anything else. Galactic Crows looks considerably worse with this update, the revealed screenshots make them seem like a grifter intentionally targeting young devs (especially with Muzy's dev being known to be young and Bookie dev definitely seeming young). Bringing in an unknown third party, especially without any proof or screenshots provided assuming the deleted screenshots aren't from them, is just an attempt to scapegoat them into innocence when they really don't deserve the trust of innocence. That they're reselling assets they haven't verified as being usable and cannot source when something like this comes up (for $80 apparently) is insane. That they're targeting someone who isn't a modeler and apparently doesn't have one on team lets them paint themselves as charitable and helpful (+actually worthwhile as a publisher bc they are 'offering support') when the relationship revealed here is just totally GC exploiting literally everyone (doubly bad if the people involved are children as probably is the case) and dropping them to save face as soon as their own actions and exploitation cause problems,
I appreciate your comments, but I believe your viewpoint is incorrect. The third party described in the video was validated as a real person by th3badd3st, with whom I spoke privately to explain this. Both MUZY (Andrew Rybis) and AJB are adults with the legal capacity to execute contracts. Andrew is 21 years old, and AJB is approximately the same age. I was duped when I paid $150 for a model back in 2022, only to discover two weeks ago that it was copyrighted. This model was bought two years ago. It is unjust to accuse me of taking advantage of others without first knowing me or understanding the nature of my connections with the involved parties. As you can see from my prior response, I honestly recognized my mistake, however, it is evident that you are not privy to the private information, transactions, and conversations, which I will not reveal out of respect for individuals concerned. AJB and I have a strong friendship and have always supported one another. The same is true for Andrew-we've kept good terms, with timely payments and mutual respect.
This whole thing was phenomenally stupid. Especially everyone finger wagging over some generic slopscot horror game stealing a model from the lore nft company. Like yeah, he shouldn't have done it, but let's not pretend we actually care about the intellectual property of a giant company, famous for making baby slop animations and a mid game
@@gummywormee41 its funny. Let me be clear: stealing a model from poppy playtime is a stupid thing to do, an I am laughing at the dude for doing it. It's the people pretending like this is super serious, and we should shame this dude for doing something so bad. Especially with the whole "He should be punished and not allowed to make the remake of his slop game!" from the last video. Like dude, the internet ain't his dad, and its not that serious
@@Naghtmoryessir By the way what’s pretty exciting rn is that all of the five nights at Wario’s games (besides the final game in the series) are getting deluxe remakes with the 1st game coming out a year ago and the 2nd has recently been teased on gamejolt
