We're home from Daytona and ready to get back to work on the 1938 Ford. Today we're going to tackle the roof and see if we can make it fit. It was going fairly well until Bad Chad made the worst cut of his life... 😳

Sometimes I don't like what chad makes. Other times he makes the coolest stuff... sometimes I think he makes some dumb choices when working other times he has a smart idea I didn't think about... But seeing other builders be creative and solve different prolems I ALWAYS feel inspired. On this build I felt most inspired by the rear corners. There is something magic about how they flow with the rear fenders and those cool exhaust tips... dunno why, but it just catches my eye as the best detail on the car so far... Thank you for sharing all your adventures and knowledge, Chad, and thanx to Jolene for documenting it!

You guys are pretty cool. Like so many it breaks my heart to see such an awesome car taken apart but what you're doing with it makes up for the heartache LOL. I see you doing things and think I'd be doing it differently or "Oh Siht! He's making a huge mistake" and I bite my tongue to see what you do in the end. Hilarious!! Your creative genius leaves me in the dust. LOL I admire your style. When one of the guys or Queen Jolene make a suggestion you are all ears and don't hesitate to adapt. Very cool. There are so many things I want to know looking ahead but I get more out of it by keeping those questions to my self and learning from how you do it. I love the fact that Queen Jolene is in there doing welding and such. She also has the advantage of not always being in the thick of it so she spots things you don't see when you're buried in it. That and here other creative talents are a huge asset. I love your show, I love your channel, I love your work.

To cut a blind line: a) Layout 1 or 2 inch masking tape following the original cut profile. b) Jag roof onto front roof frame, now covers half of the green masking tape c) Measure back from outside edge of masking tape, the appropiate 1" or 2" tape width, and you just recreated an accurate blind cut line, in Sharpie marker. // Love this Coupe build, with Carson top.

Hey Chad, i dont know if anyone else has spotted this mistake but here goes. The spacing of the louvers changes where the two sheets meet . If you measure the distance between the louvers before the join and then measure the distance between the louvers across the join you will see the problem. Love the build

Hi Chad & Jolene, the roof is coming along nicely and Chad did a masterful job of repairing the miscut! It was also nice to see Chad & Jolene working together on the car. Is the roof going to be a solid roof or are you guys going to make the center of the roof removeable? I know we all have our own tastes and you are into the patina and welding scars. I cannot help but to picture it in a Forest Green Metallic with a nice clean white roof and old styled muscle car mags with beefy tires on it. That in my opinion would be a real attention grabber and I can picture it! Jolene great work as always on the video and helping Chad with the car, you are awesome at whatever you set your mind to! Fina looked to be having a day of rest except when Chad grabbed the coat hanger and something in the box clanked and she about jumped out of her skin, that woke her up in a hurry!

Many of the most beautiful classics were new cars from the factory sent to coach builders for re bodying... They were perfectly good cars, the bodies cut apart and rebuilt with custom made panels...boat tails etc... They are more valuable. so Chad and Jolene.. Fina and crew. You are Building Dreams..and pretty well naling it...🎉🎉 Inspiration.. Thinking..what if I change that back window "Bad Chad" ... did..…! I can too.. make it mine 👍👍👍
