May be time to get a big snow blower! I love mine, don’t need it all the time but when I need it it was a huge time saver and when I do need ( NEED) it ! It was the only thing that worked to get through the big snow!
Wow! That was a pretty good size drift. Thankfully we are not getting that much at 4000 feet in N. California. My UTV plow handles 99% of our snow and my farm tractor handles the rare occurrence. I enjoyed your last couple of plowing videos. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, it's clear that it takes time when he's plowing with a shovel instead of a snow blade, but he'll probably learn when he gets older to use the right tool for the job!

You should invest in a snowblower attachment. another idea is find an old VP plow from a snowplow and making an attachment for your quick disconnect that I’ll help you with the deep snow
I would love to be able to afford a snowblower or V plow. The only challenge up here is the wind and that channel would blow shut pretty quickly. In short, sometimes spending extra time to push it out lasts longer. I agree it's not the efficient way but hard work pays off in the long run. Thanks for watching!
Good day Sir, I am now watching part 1. The question I would like to ask is that if an old tarp or piece of one would make it easier on connect disconnect of bucket or blade?
Did you start it with the block heater plugged in? Not the best idea to do that. That’s a good way to destroy the heating element inside of the block. Tiny air bubbles inside the coolant pass over that hot element very quickly causing small explosions that will damage the element.
So i discovered my block heater is not working and I haven't figured out yet if it's the cord or element. Was that way when I bought it. Need to work on that but your comment is well taken
Of course. Was just some words of advice. I’ve seen many elements badly damaged from that. Hopefully it’s just the cord, the element can be a slight pain to change. You could try replacing the cord, plug it in for a bit and then open the hood and feel the block around it to see if it’s working.
You need a snow blower. Impossible to push. You're Pissing into the wind. You'll kill your machine. I know you're trying to work with what you got, but the win goes to the snow. I love the video but I also hate to watch someone not have the right tool to get the job done efficiently. Keep up the fight!!
I appreciate the concern and yes having a snowblower would be ideal but I don't have those funds available. The 624K is pretty heavy duty and has a break out force of over 25K pounds. I do try to protect whenever I can though. Thanks for watching!
Don’t start that good , it not that cold there . Here a little trick take cloth rag soak in gas ⛽️ and put over the air intake better them starter fluid buddy . 😊
Dumping snow right back onto your path seems illogical and counterproductive. Not only are you dumping it right in your path, but half the time your not even dumping the bucket at all. So you are essentially move no snow, and you're exactly where you was before you lifted it.
That plow is designed to throw snow to the right. You will have better control of the tractor and be able to go faster to throw the snow instead of making a bank.
I understand how it's made but there is a huge advantage to plowing downhill (I can't overstate that) and I usually like to get the larger side down first using downward momentum. Thank you for watching!
Sitting here watching is getting me motivated to do pretty much the exact same thing! It's still blowing here (we're at 8900' in the Rockies) and hopefully the wind will die down soon. It's a wise move to push banks back as you open a lane. There is nothing worse than having an equipment failure at the end of a long single wide hi banked push. Did you hear off a snow bucket for loader ? We never use the loader bucket too small for doing WHITE GOLD . OVER 6’ to 21’ feet we blower on the loader with 988B CAT . 😊
Shave the drifts to one side or the other with a hooking motion to work your way through without getting stuck. Hitting the drifts head on gets your front wheels trapped with snow that falls back into the cut. Our area they used to push back the drifts with a wide track dozer that would climb the piles like a coal pile.
Two ways to deal with snow that deep , (1) a ten foot wide blower and (2) a VEE plow . In 77 and 78 we had drifting like that and deeper . I plowed snow commercially and we opened two state highways with drifts that deep and deeper with a little old 1973 F 250 Ford with a 7 1/2 foot Western plow . In 78 we found a state cop buried in a 8-10 foot snow drift the hard was after i hit that drift four or five times at 45 MPH. . we also had drifting where your Deere loader would not even made a dent in them and were dug out with Cat 992 and Hough 400 loaders brought out of the local strip mines with 18 yd. buckets
I've wondered about a V plow as well as a snowblower. Just can't afford them. The v plow takes an amazing amount of power and traction to push it through big snow banks as well. Thanks for watching!
well with a Vee plow yea it's pony power weight and speed , your not going to just run straight thru a deep drift as it is going to take some hard hits to bust thru. . Vee plows mounted on road graders or road maintainers as some call them will have to make several hard rams to bust thru . . way back in 63-64 and 65 we got hammered here in Ohio , i live in N/e ohio . At that time i was a kid in high school but worked for a vary large construction company . On the one big storm i got called out at 1:30 Am to go rescue my boss as i only lived a mile fro To get to the shop the snow was so deep nothing was moving and i could not even find my car as it was buried . So and old set of ski's and poles i poled my way to the the main shop . I had seven miles to go to where the boss was hung up with his willisy Jeep Pick up. I used the one D 6 Cat dozer and even with a dozer there were places i had to naw on the drift . One we got back to the shop we broke out the big guns and the new dozer i ran was fired up and i was given my list of roads to break open . That new tonka toy was a D 9 G almost fifty tons on iron with a 16 foot blade and a ton of horse power Even with that it was not just push on thru . as in the deep drifts i had to work them off the side of the road . Your 624 deere is a vary common size machine used around here by townships citys and state . Most don't even have chains . I plowed snow commercially for years and during the blizzards of 77 and 78 my little old Ford F 250 4X4 opened up several state highways and countless township roads with drifts deeper then what i was seeing you had . Yep i had chains on all four wheels . during those storms my one close friend also with a F 250 Ford he and i were the only two moving . He and i ran rescue missions of taking food in along with fuel being it diesel or coal as he and i we hauled coal and we heated out shop/ truck garage with coal and we had a stock plie , so if someone needed coal we would load a back hoe bucket of coal in his truck as he did not have a plow or extra weight in his and i woulld poke a hole into them and they got a 1/4 to 1/2 ton of good coal . Fuel oil we had five 55 barrels we would fill and get them into people who were out of almost out and hand pump them fuel to get thru. . Now as for a blower to put on yea them puppys are not cheap and they need to be of high horse power. . even a 8 foot dual auger one on the back fo a farm tractor will bring a 150 hose tractor to her knees . One guy had a larger tractor in 78 and he had a 8 footer on a Oliver 4 225 and he was out with it and it was working the snot out of the 3208 Cat engine and he told me another 200 Hp would have been great. @@almosthomeranch8447 . NOw here so far the old 75 year old Broom hanging out in the pantry got used today to clean the massive two inches of snow off the car . as we have not had much winter just like last year , we got a dusting here and there and the old broom cleared the steps and side walk. One thing i know is equipment and how to work it . I do enjoy your vid's . and i could enjoy living out there with NO nut case neighbors.
