27" zillas on my old 03 po-po 500ho with a 2 inch lift, the rest is stock.. i run about 3pnds of pressure... ive gone through stuff that sxs and quads with $$$$$ in mods got stuck in, low tire pressure.. easy throttle chugs me right along. I think the maxxis zillas are perfect, soft, light weight, and they clean out pretty good. Decent trail ride too. nice video.. thanks
I run 27 zillas on a rancher 420. Its basically a tractor now. On the smaller lighter bike I can normally follow the big 1k quads on 30+ just about anywhere.
zillas did well on my 11 RZR s. spin easy because they are light, better straight line traction on dry over stock, decent in sand, and got through a lot of skeg here in Saskatchewan.
My buddy had the 30” motobosses and they were brutal on his axles and diff. Several axles I mean. My 29.5 outlaw 2s on the rubi running good so far knock on wood.
Nice video I had 33 ATV in my Life Time and a lot of Tires the CST Sludge Hammer tires are the best all round tire I have them on my outlander and my commander the smooth on trail road and in the mud I have the 28 hammers and love My cabin is 24 km over bug baron marsh land good on snow they work on it all I know guys with 15000 km on them with 1/4 in lug left you wont find a better all round tire have a great day
Im running motoboss on my teryx 4! They are great tires! I had terms before and i prefer the motoboss. Maybe a little stiffer, but better on the trails in my opinion.
Mudpuppy I don’t have Facebook to ask you this, but I’m buying a Rubi 520 this week and want to know your opinion on what’s the tires I should run with out a GR?
I have a Honda 520 Rubicon 2020 what rims and tire set up would you slap on for mud/ trail ridding that are light in weight because we all know it's a little under powered and i do not have or want a gear reduction as of yet
love your videos man, i just hope that your happy in life. you seem to be compensating for something if anythings weighing on your mind i hope you get better bro. it sucks. you should try 38 inch terminators i saw those once on an old video looked like they would get clogged up in thick mud easy as fuck
Imma be honest with you I’ve never been impresssed with outbacks, especially riding in sand your just going too sink. They are decent for water riding tho
I have a 2010 Polaris sportsman 500 ho what would you recommend? Hi lifter outlaw 2’s in 29.5x9.5x14” or the 28x11x12” mega methane? I did an api clutch install also for low end torque
I currently have 11 wides front and back and want to lighten up the steering by going with zillas in the front, my other option is selling the canam and getting a foot shift rubicon or a 2019 grizzly
What do you think about silverbacks? Pros and cons. Also between silverbacks and bkt what would you choose and why for all conditions mud sand water ext.
I don't run silverbacks. Have never been impressed with them. The 32 s are okay if you're riding thick clay. Bkts are awesome on sxs very light execellent traction but they don't paddle or grab the side wall like an atv tire needs to
Eventually could you do a review on the super swamper vampire edl? I’ve been debating on buying them but I would really like to see them in action first and get a good review of them.
Would you recommend a 28” sledgehammer or 31 og outlaw for a Honda rancher 420. In not sure if it has a gear reduction or not because I bought it used but I have 28x10x14 motoclaws on there now which supposedly weigh 37.6 lbs a tire and I spin them fine even in thicker mud. Just trying to research for my next tire set up lol.
What would you recommend for a sportsman 850 H.O. stock. Me and my son ride mud water and trail. I don’t want to loose a lot of power. Thanks I’m enjoying your videos
depending on size you want, max tire size 27' the itp xtr are nice and smooth, radial so long lasting. ran on my 850 no issues. i seen some run 30 mud lights on popo stock. match the rubber with the trials you ride, and you'll get the results you want from your atv.
@@Michelob_AndBoats Those tall tires are a waste for dry trails and require more hp and or clutching mods, and I see a ton of the taller heavy lugs for sale and barely used, people fined out they are too much tire.
I mean they're okay for a cheap tire but they're not going to paddle like an Aztec or an outlaw they don't have very much tread and they're very skinny
i have a question that most people dont answer , was it worth it taking all those tires off for a video or was there a different reason why you had to take the tires off and then decided to make a video . just wondering .
Hey mud puppy i had a 08 honda 420 with a lot of mudding upgrades and 28 og outlaws but i recently trades it for a 07 artic cat 700 with stock everything other than the hmf exhaust, wildboar rad relocate, snorkels. I need a recommended mud tire for it what do you recommend. PLS HELP ME
how are you liking the 30" mamba lites? im building a mud bike out of a 2012 grizzly 700 and while i like the idea of 29.5 outlaw I's for the mud, i wouldnt mind a tire that will do a little better on the trail as well. how does the mamba lite compare to the sludgehammer's?
Best tire for a Honda 300? I have a set of 12" and 14" wheels I can use. Current running 28x10x14 Terms with a 54%. Considering either 29.5x12x12 OL or 30x10x14 Mamba Lites. Thanks.
Hey mudpuppy i have the same tan 300 like yours with a 54% reduction i had 29.5 laws OG wides they jus floated to bad so i went online an found a good deal on some 27" outlaw OG's Skinny's brand new for a good price but when i went riding yesterday at my normal spot i had to work the hell out my bike to get threw holes i use to walk threw on my old s/w 27" laws did i make a mistake by stayin at such a small size? Your advice would be greatly apreciated
Do you have to replace stripped wheel studs often? I am about to have to on my Sportsman 570 with only taking wheels off a couple of times. Don't want to have to worry about that with my HL Sportsman 1000 when I switch out wheels/tires to suit riding conditions.
Brock C Polaris is junk in general imo, I got a Sportsman 500 ho, the starter has ripped the bolt hole threads outta the engine case twice now and had to have the pdm rebuilt. It’s an 07 with right at 100 hours on it
Terminators are just a motoboss but worse tread spacing. They are a bit lighter. Assassinators dig too much. Outback max is super heavy for it all terrain style tread
@@MudPuppyOffroad Yeah that is my only worry. Have watched videos of them floating in holes that seemed to have less than a foot of water in it. Had thought about running bead locks and low air to negate that issue.
I’m looking for a good tire for my stock sportsmen 570 I need one that is good on trails but good in decently thick mud do u have any recommendations and tips as I look for tires
Would there be at tire better than a zilla for funning some gravel roads and some trails but go through a decent amount of deep mud but still need to be able to use the bike around the house to plow snow in the winter it’s a Honda foreman 400
Outlaws are not the best tire I have owned all these outlaws don't like to back up or climb you want a really good tire outback max beats All these in ride quality and performece
There pretty good, ran them for years and never left me wanting more. Ride is good, by all means not the best in thick mud but great in most conditions
So we have a 2017 Honda 420 ranger with about 750 miles on it with the zillas from the shop and they’ve lost 50% tread. Why tho I’m gonna get a new set one day
You would be lucky to fit them on with a 2" lift, even then you'd have to cut your fenders a good bit and you'd be scrubbing badly at full turn. I've got a set of 29.5 outlaw 1s on my 05 brute force 750 with a 2" lift, and I don't have very much room between the tire and fender.
