Kid Icarus Uprising is over a decade old now (man I feel old) so honestly instead of trying to convert it to a single screen home console, I think it's safe to say most would rather just a sequel at this point as I'm still confused why they haven't made another game and Pit joking about "see you in another 25 years years" is starting to no longer be a joke and actual reality.
Making a sequel to a 10yo game no one has played isn’t a “safe” decision… it’s begging for a flop lmao KIU would be wildly easy to remake for a single screen
Yay! We're finally getting DQ3! I wasn't sure about it at first, but when I found out the main character can be whatever we want, I got super excited. DQ9 didn't hit me very well though so I hope that doesn't happen here.
I think it's important to remember Dragon Quest XI was always intended to come to the Switch. It was the first Switch game announced (other than Breath of Wild, which was only confirmed as a Wii U game). The main reason XI was delayed was it used a version of Unreal Engine not compatible with the Switch, and they didnt find out until it was too late. So they had to updat ethe game in a different Unreal Engine version, which is more difficult than it sounds
Perhaps Armor Project should have worked closer to Nintendo, I believe that if DQ XI came earlier in the Switch's life, perhaps even in its launch it'd have sold more. I mean, the game sold decently, but it didn't have a big debut in Japan compared to the 3DS and PS4 versions, maybe because it was a late port and not even the extra additions entice new players I just hope that Armor Project was given a Switch 2 development kit so Dragon Quest XII will launch on it day one
As much as I'd like for the remasters to be F-Zero & Kid Icarus, doubt it's them. Assuming this rumor is true, I imagine the GameCube game is Luigi's Mansion, since I've heard other rumors that Luigi's Mansion 4 is in development for the Switch 2, with a planned release for the 1st half of 2026; so it would make sense to have the first Luigi's Mansion game be re-released in 2025, to give some breathing room for Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, and to have all the games be playable on the Switch family of systems. As for the 3DS game... it's harder to guess. Only thing that comes to mind is Kirby: Triple Deluxe, which Nintendo renewed the trademark for, back in 2023.
I highly doubt its Luigi's Mansion, we've been getting alot of LM love on Switch lately and LM3 is much better than 1. LM2 Remake is literally around the corner, so this is the opportunity for Nintendo to give us some Kid Icarus, Star Fox, or F-Zero love since we haven't gotten neither in 8+ years. It's a no-brainer tbh.
@@giovanni2910 The point of bringing Luigi's Mansion 1 to the Switch, is to have all the games in the series, be readily available on one family of systems (Switch & Switch 2). It would be no different than what Nintendo did with Pikmin 1 & 2, right before Pikmin 4; or Metroid Prime 2 + 3 before Prime 4, like other rumors are saying. It makes sense from a logistical standpoint. And as the rumor says, these games *probably* won't be shown off during the next Nintendo Direct; and really, they shouldn't, if they're coming out after March 2025. Makes no sense, especially in the case for remasters. That's why I said, give Luigi's Mansion 2 HD some breathing room for 2024. Then Luigi's Mansion 1 in 2025, (probably via shadowdrop, like Prime 1 remastered). And then finish off with Luigi's Mansion 4 in 2026.
Yeah, that game is great. Sales are going to explode. Trickeling sales like FF Pixel Remasters and Octopath Traveler ain´t neccysery. The people that were kid and broke when DQ III released have leveled up.
@@cactusman07pimto be fair the people who were kids when DQ3 came out grew up a long time ago 😅. I’m sure the average age of the Japanese Dragon Quest fan must be mid 30s at least lol
3DS Nintendo Switch online is simply not possible because the Nintendo Switch and probably the Switch 2 do not have a double screen. stop hoping for that. If they are going to bring a 3DS game to the Switch 1 & 2 then it will be a remaster or a remake, we have to accept that
@@jarde1989 That's true, but the DS is just much easier to emulate than the 3DS. And The biggest reason that Nintendo doesn't bring 3DS games to Switch online and this also applies to the Gamecube games is that those games are simply way too big with way too much content to put it on Switch online. Remasters and remakes are just a much better Business Decision Nintendo is company games cost a lot to make so they need your money
No 2 games that I want more in HD-2D then FF6 and Chrono Trigger! I think the take away form this announcement is they are really taking off making HD-2D versions of games. In due time, we will see more of our favorite classic jrpg's in this perfect (if you ask me) HD-2D style remake!
I still have no idea how Dragon Quest III Remake was announced back in 2021 and STILL hasn’t come out even after we’ve had Live a Live and Octopath Traveler II announced AND released in that time.
The structure of that game makes it bugged. Having multiple maps and protagonists available simultainisly makes unexpected behaviour at the end of the code unavoidable. Deviding the game in chapters like Live a Live, Octopath Traveler II and Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen prevents this problem. This one bug testing like it´s 1999.
@@TheBrazilRules well we are talking about dragon quest 3 where the gbc version did. i guarantee this new version of dq3 will have even more. this isn't a mobile port built by the b team like the current switch versions on the market, this is a big release.
For me, switch will be complete if we get tp & ww remasters, 3ds ocarina of time, prime 2 & 3. (Starfox adventures would be a major nostalgia hit if they re-released that)
Ok. I know I'm gonna get flamed for this but....... I think a remaster of Star Fox: Assault would be better than F-Zero GX. Before any of you attempt to cancel me for my trash heap of an opinion, here me out: Assault's 20th anniversary is next year and having it be re-released on the Switch (and Switch 2) would be amazing. Especially with online multiplayer..... Plus I'm more of a fan of Star Fox than F-Zero
i would love to see the golden sun games get remade or a sequel for the switch 2. also would love a 2nd star wars heritage collection with shadows of the empire & all 3 rogue squadron games.
with it saying "the legend of Erdrick draws near" I think there's a chance it's not just DQ3, but 1 and 2 as well. that would explain why it took so long honestly...
Also "The Legacy Begins" doesn't make sense for just DQ3. Its not the beginning of the franchise and its the end of the Erdrick story. But it works if its the first 3 games.
It is in fact when you BEAT DQ3 on the Switch for its final boss it ends with a To be continued in Dragon Quest 1 and 2 Message I believe the 2nd set of 3 games is the same in that the 6th game is a Prequel to the 4th and 5th games.
To fix Kid Icarus uprising all it needs to be perfect is change the controls. For flying sections: to star fox type controls and for land battles change the controls to bayonetta type controls.
Actually just doing pointer controls for the on rails or motion controls. From my understanding uprising doesn't have 3D depth like starfox so the motion controls would be more accurate then in Zero. Pointer controls exist in metroid prime remastered so they can do it here
@@kurokamina8429 I meant as in the SNES version of starfox and if its being redone from the ground up. otherwise you would be right with the motion controls. but for longevity and re establishing the franchise. The way im talking about is the way to go
The 3DS games that need another run on Switch 1 or 2 are: Ever Oasis Metroid 2 The Dillon Rolling Western games Kirby Triple Deluxe Kirby Planet Robobot Kid Icarus Uprising Mario 3D Land And though its a DS game they definetely need to remake: Metroid Prime Hunters
As much as I would love a Star Fox Assault or Adventures remake along with KI:U, I think the more likely thing to happen is us getting a Luigi's Mansion remake along with maybe one of the 3ds Kirby or Mario games.
I'm interesting in dragon quest 3. As for the rest will eventually got on it. My main concern is will it have original content/no censorship? Who are the localizers? If PC will it be on GOG as well? Any improvements? Kid Incurs looks interesting.
If you want to make money put your games multi platform, especially on Nintendo systems. If you don't want to make money keep it on Sony or Microsoft and see how far that really gets you. Could you imagine how much more sales games like FF7 Remastered would have gotten if they had a Nintendo Switch version? It's really something to think about. 😎 Switch is set to become the best selling game system in the history of gaming. Who doesn't want to have a piece of those sales?
It really sucks cause Star Fox Assault and Kid Icarus uprising are at odds. They are both 3d action games and while KIUR has Sakurai, Assault was developed by Namco
There's speculation that the DQ3 remake is now a remake of the first 3 games. 3 years ago, Yujo Horii stated they would like to remake the first 2 games after 3 was released. If they were bundled together that would explain this long delay. This titles on this new teaser make more sense as a trilogy... "The legend of Erdrick draws near." And "The Legacy Begins."
Midori is now saying they think it'll be all three games (1 - 3) releasing instead of only 3, and they're a very reliable leaker. The chance is low imo that it's only 3 releasing and then down the road the second two. No doubt it'll be 3 separate purchases though. No way will SE leave money on the table by making it a collection. They'll want to make as much profit as possible.
