Huge old farm house with stuff left behind/Many old farm machines/Abandoned 40 years

Hey house lovers and explorers! Todays video I find a huge old farm house with a return verandah. Started life in the late Victorian era and had a generous Edwardian extension as the family and farm grew larger. Seems to have been last lived occupied in the 80`s with many old things left behind along with a museum like area at the back with many old farm machines sitting around indicating the was a proud hard working grain farming family. No doubt this old home and farm raised and housed many memories along it`s journey to where it now sits along out in the fields that once sustained it.
Hope you all enjoy the tour, cheers for watching :-)

I absolutely love this style of house. I could imagine restoring this home and making it liveable again. I would keep as many of the original features as possible whilst also making sure it would fit in with modern lifestyle. Absolutely gorgeous.

One of the most iconic T.V ads from the 1970s had the jingle "Guess whose mum's got a whirlpool". Sold heaps of their whitegoods because of it.

The board that the tap was in was leaning on the front of the cabinet with the holes in it. At about 13:45

There would have been plumbing in the kitchen as that board leaning up against the bench had three hole in the middle 2 for hot and cold 1 for mixing outlet. Can see where mount each side of window frame.

The Missus picked nice wall colors for this one, nothing brash to burn the retnas as I see in most explores. That and I like being able to pause and zoom to read those old newspapers. Hey Paul. That house is a beauty. I like the way they did the extension. Well built. Love the door from the dining room. Go out for a cigarette after tea. Cup of tea on the verandah. I always imagine a hard working woman slaving over a hot stove. Cooking meals for everyone. And all that farm machinery. Very innovative for its time. Those newspapers showed how well dressed we all were before the sixties revolution. We cared more about how we looked. More respect for everything. Especially our homes🇦🇺🇦🇺 Thanks again.👍👍

I loved this old cottage farmhouse. Too bad it sat abandoned all these years. It was probably very charming in its day. I liked the old pastel colors of the wall paint. The pass-through window was neat in the kitchen, it still had the patterned glass intact. I appreciate the federation woodwork, very detailed. Thank you for sharing this farm, it was a timewarp.

What a stunner Paul! Was it much cooler inside like the other old homesteads with thick walls? I love many of it's features, the fireplaces, yes all but one mantlepiece removed, the old water tanks, electricity still to homestead although turned off, loved the vintage beds with springs - I remember many years ago my parents having one of these, loving familiar memories, the bullnose verandah and whilst I am carrying on, the fact that that the verandah lapped two sides, how much cooler the homestead would have been with the verandah hugging all sides. I adored the stone work, the homestead felt like it was a bank balance away from being restored. It would have been a lonely existence, tucked so far away from civilisation, but I can feel and see benefits of this beautiful home❤😘 Thank you Paul, she's a beauty and yes I am super envious of you😊

Just started watching and you are showing the land and outside the house. Can't believe you found that place, it is well hidden. In the kitchen, what is that drawer for above the oven on the tiny stove? For a grill? I wish you would open them so we could see, because I have never seen stoves like that. Kitchen had no counter tops or cupboards. They probably had a table to work on. I bet all those newspapers were for use for the fireplaces. Interesting long house.

I have an old John Deere combine sitting at my place. It’s not a real big one but the property isn’t big like that either and it seems to be an adequate size for the land. It’s not near as old as those but does have wood and canvas belts to move the materials along. It’s pulled by a tractor but isn’t PTO driven. There’s a gas engine mounted on it to drive the belts. Still that distinct John Deere green. That was a pretty neat place. It looks like it could be rehabbed and made livable again. Was that a well in the back near one of the rainwater tanks? It looked like one covered up there. That outhouse was a good walk from the house. I have a wonder if there wasn’t another home of some type nearer to that than the current house. One shed was a bird pen, with a wooden perch hung across the inside.
