What I think is happening is that WOTC is monitoring the cEDH meta and is reprinting a lot of the power cards that are not on the reserved list in various precons in hopes that players buy one of each or buy collector boosters to chase the borderless and special treatment cards.

Thank you for clarifying solring is broken. They dont see it co, it's reprinted to almost every precon.. so for players thinking about CEDH card it is. But cards doesn't determine if a deck is a cedh or not. If it is then every precon is cedh

used to be kinda annoyed at all the treasure overload, but now i kinda think its Wizards trying to sort of fix manascrew and manaflood. lands overall are kind of a bad design just embraced over time

Sol Ring is great but not ban worthy. It just makes colorless mana. If it could make 2 mana of any combination of colors it would then be mythic level and still not ban worthy. If you're going to worry about banning cards worry about the problems and not the mana producers. For the record there are an extremely few cards that are ban worthy. Shahrazad and any card dealing with ante would be the only ones to fall into that category. Everything else is fine and people need to stop bitching and build to deal with this stuff.

@@Caliban_80 i got it when i read your comment below. to that one;: i know that a lot of old staples and lands have dropped a lot but there are also cards that skyrocketed. for example the new upkeep commander from thunder junk. made some of the courts 10x the price. If you wanna see magic as a investment you have to adept to the habits the market shows. .. stay optimistic and keep up your love for the game

Return of the Wildspeaker is bad though. When you compare it to other draw spells, the mana to card draw ratio on draw spells are usually 2:1. Or even but with a cost to balance it. Harmonize is a green spell for 4 mana to draw 3 cards. That is solid. So for Wildspeaker to be worth it, you need a creature with at least power 4. But burning 5 mana to draw 4 is still pretty weak. For 5 mana, I want to be getting more than just 4 random cards. The fact that this card fails in the top deck struggle and only matters as a borderline 'win more' card. No it's bad.

Return of the Wildspeaker isn’t a bad card, just more niche than most perceive. If your deck is running a large # a creatures either greater than 4 base power, or are regularly modified to much more than 4 power (Like a +1/+1 counters deck), your draw-to-mana ratio is often quite good. My Vorinclex, MR deck regularly gets a double-digit draw for that 5 mana. Harmonize or Greater Good can both be more effective/consistent in some decks, but there are definitely more than a few good decks where Return of the Wildspeaker can be a monster payoff with no Hunter’s Insight-like hoops to jump through.

Not all cards follow the price list you listed, and you are using the cheapest price list. At here we are using CK or SCG, please dont spread misinformation as well.
