Yeah I’ve been previously told that whenever someone falls into dangerous water they classify it as a major incident and they send all the specialist USAR, water rescue and HART services

This is the pre determined attendance for a water rescue in a difficult to access location like Formby beach, due to the weight of fire appliances other specialists kit like the 6x6 Polaris was on standby to access the patient.
Its a trial being used by various services ordered prior to the NHS england National spec lot of fiats, YAS have 4 I believe, YAS from what i've heard (my station was supposed to get one) are automatic and i've heard through the grapevine you can drive them on a 3.5tonne license instead of a C1.
