What a change: for once a female retic doesn't want to attack Jay when he takes her eggs! Like always, we take the eggs to incubate them and hatch as many as possible. Usually retics will defend and strike when taking their eggs, but this female reticulated python seemed to realize Jay was no threat. These babies are going to turn out awesome and we at Prehistoric Pets can't wait for theses baby snakes to hatch out of their eggs!

Jay, The eggs are not actually "glued" together. When the mother lays the eggs initially, they are super super soft, and moist. So when she lays them, they stick together and dry that way.

When you accidentally make a hole in the snake eggs when peeling them apart put a piece of scotch tape over the hole in the egg and it will hatch just fine with no problems. Just wipe it off first where it is leaking and cover it with the clear scotch tape and the baby will make it!

JAY put a bandaid on the EGG ..I’ve done this 5 times and each time all the eggs made it and hatched..it heals the egg like your skin‼️

Wow what a huge clutch so awesome Jay i'm sure you have heard of my ways to fix a torn egg I have heard of people who breed ball pythons that they have used Elmer's glue to help fix the egg and also heard of a guy who used one of his egg shells from a clutch that had hatched a put a piece of it over the hole not sure if he put glue on it to hold it in place but both people said that there egg hatched fine without any problems anyway congrats and almost at 1 million subs heck yeah you deserve 2 million

Question you say that the egg has to be in the same orientation that it was laid so that the snake won’t drowned but yet when you cut the eggs open the snakes are in a liquid how come they don’t drowned then

They are in an air pocket. If you rotate the eggs, the air pocket moves and fluid floods the area.

Speaking of deformities. I used to breed water pythons. I found one dead in shell only half there. Back half simply not there. Another actually hatched alive with the heart outside the body - I could see it beating. Weird.

Not in snakes. Turtles and lizards can be affected by temp, but no snake that anybody has determined.

You tear a egg just wipe it off good and apply a little piece of scotch tape over the hole and it will hatch just fine.
