I’ve had a run of bad luck with buying planes from CN (GearWorst took my money for not one but TWO planes which they never delivered), so I’ve been holding off ever since. But the XK F-22 Raptor you recently recommended was too enticing to resist, so I pulled the trigger... and it just arrived last week (BTW, it flies WAY better than I expected; so a big Thanks for that!). Therefore, I’M PULLING THE TRIGGER ON THIS ONE as well!! Great price, too! Only $130?! 😆👍🏼

Ok, so I just received this beautiful 182, and I’m totally in love. The only issue I’ve found so far is that the nose wheel is stuck, because it rubs on the skirt. I’m sure a bit of Dremel work on the wheel opening will correct this issue. 👍🏼 I plan to assemble her tomorrow morning, right after church. Two questions for the RCS Family: •Does anyone know of a good 3D print file of a dashboard that would look good in this model? •I think this would be an awesome FPV plane. Any recommendations on an entry-level FPV setup? I have a few tiny Eachine cameras and a few cloverleaf antennas that I found in a box of drone components I bought. I have zero experience with FPV systems, but I *think* all I need is a Tx, an Rx, and a decent set of goggles...? I sure would appreciate some guidance. Thanks in advance, friends!

My uncle owned a Cessna!!! He would buzz my family's home (out in the country). If buzzed us 3 time's we knew we could go to the private airport and get a ride!!

That's a nice aircraft! I have fond memories of the real Cessna 182 since I have actually flown one! I had an introductory flight in one, and I had a friend who had a deal with me during the winter. If he was going flying on the weekend, I could come with him if I came out and helped him clean off his plane...very fond memories!

Tower Hobbies magazine had a Skylane with that scheme and colors that was always catching my eye as a kid. That's also a really good looking airplane, hopefully Santa is watching :)

It's fun flying in the wind. I could "park" my first tr4ainet in the air on windy days. Nose into the wind and throttle down until it stood still. If it was really windy I could even fly backwards. 😁

I have had one for a few years, what a fantastic plane, I have gone to 4 S and a few modifications on the nose wheel which bends easy, I bought an OLEO nose landing setup which has suspension. I was a bit of a tough modification, but I have had some very bad landings and it the oleo suspension soaks it up with ease. Reinforce the wing struts. I love this Cessna!,

Parts for RC trucks is a much bigger deal than for RC planes. I could easily replace any electronic in this plane with any other brand out there. That is the beauty of RC planes 😀😁👍⚓

Congrats on the subs! Nate, I know I told you that I don't watch your plane videos, but I enjoyed this one. I've never tried a plane out. I think it would end up on the ground by crashing anyway, so I figure I should stick to the wheeled rc's.

Nice-looking plane and especially at that price - WOW. The lights were pretty visible on it even in the air. Add a Spektrum receiver or a stabilized Lemon RX and that wind would bother it a lot less. It's a total steal at the current price, and I suspect that price will go up soon.

I have flown one for real and they move the mail fast! Looks great reminds me of the old P-51 you and I have old school! Looking forward to see how it does crossing the sticks! Good price our P-51's were under $100 bucks from Tower, and I love that plane it sounds outstanding and flies great!

I almost lost it here. I have ordered the HSDJETS 182 and thought oh man I over paid. Then I realized that this one is only 1400mm and the one HSD has is 2000mm. But this is a steal of a deal for sure. Thanks for all the great vids.

I use the clear gorilla glue and it works great for areas that take more stress as it holds really really well, but stays slightly pliable like hot glue. Only downside is that it takes longer to fully cure, but sets in about 30 minutes. Guaranteed not to break in that spot again and not heavy at all!

Just in case anyone out there accidentally bought the kit version and is having a hard time finding the motor and prop adapter for this model like I did, this model is actually the old FMS Cessna 182 Sky Trainer, some Chinese company must have bought the old molds and are remaking them. Just look for parts for the FMS version and they will fit.

Good plane for scale flying...i had my phantom slick 540 maiden yesterday, flew on rails and needed no trim at all. For anyone with the scratch and the itch for 3d i recommend it. today i take out my rebuilt 1350 watt dynam smart trainer ohhhh its gonna be fun! my timber feeling neglected tho lol.

I have the blue one. In the battery compartment you may find a white plastic film strip. That is 1/2 of the installed velcro strip. I have not maidened mine yet. I also have strobes on the wing tips. I'm going to use the FlySky FS-i6 TX/RX combo. I hope it works.

I agree foam safe ca is junk. Good for foam are: Bsi Foam cure, Beacon Foam tac, white gorilla glue (if you use pins), or real ca (if its epp or epo). The only issue I have with hot glue is it can loosen in the hot sun. Thanks for the recommendation on the hot glue. Great review as usual.

Looks nice! 😎 Interesting take on hot glue. I guess CA would have the advantage when weight, rigidity, and/or heat tolerance are critical, since hot glue is relatively heavy, flexible (which can be a good thing), and vulnerable to softening in hot temperatures. Of course, hot glue isn’t going to chemically eat your foam like a mismatched CA can, and the working time is generally more forgiving. Given suitable materials and sufficient curing time, I’d imagine white glue (Elmer’s) would do nicely as well. Lighter and less heat-sensitive than hot glue, similarly flexible, barely visible once dry, though not a good gap filler. Say hi to Popeye for me! 😁

So here is the big question, how is the spare part situation? My guess is not good because I have never heard of this brand. Spare parts is the number one factor for me when buying any R/C because sooner or later you will need them.

The aircraft has been there for the longest time. The reason you do not know of it is because its mainly sold from Chinese outlets such as Banggod ,Alibaba and Aliexpress.Spares are available

Hey TS!! Yeah, that is a great question! If this were an RC truck, spare part availability would matter A LOT more, but that is the beauty of RC planes 😁 I could take any of the electronics from this plane and replace them with almost any other brand and they fit and work perfectly. That is one reason I love RC planes! Everything is so universal. Plus, foam these days is awesome! You break it on a rough landing!? No problem! Hot glue and it "never happened" 👍⚓😎

Nate I do just like you I use only hot glue and I don't like ca. I have also bought one of these a few years ago and had the same issues you have only mine came with a radio and transmitter and had a lot of problems with that I switched it over to a spectrum outfit and it flies okay now. I guess you get what you pay for keep up the good work guys just love you with your honesty. I'd buy a rock if you said it would fly.lol

I have been learning with the older version of this. New mods i see, under carriage more substantial, plastic windows, flaps, lights, tri prop. Problems: front wheel folding under on every landing leading to stripped cogs in servo (replaced with metal stronger one). Strengthened bulkhead attachment and replaced front leg. Yours looks more substantial. Wheels too small (for grass) replaced and boots taken off. Have to fly fast in zero wind, touchy in stronger winds. Have to take wing off to get to receiver. BUT it only cost me £85 and its still flying and as my first plane im kinda attached to it! Im learning to fly and if i bin it the cost is small. One heavy landing nothing broke but front wheel folding AGAIN! 😥😒May disconnect steering and pile the glue on bulkhead! To be honest can't complain for the price as you learn to not just fly but overcome problems. Yours has the mods probably due to the priblems I've experienced.

This is one if the nicest looking rc airplanes I own. Having said that it has some of the cheapest servos I have ever seen. I love the scale look enough to change them all out with better quality components. This is NOT a great first rc airplane to build. Air tractor would be the easiest to put together and fly from my experience. Whoever designed this should seek substance abuse help.

I totally agree with you Nate about the Hot Glue Vs CA hot glue allows flex so i use is sparingly light on my control surface pinch hinches to reinforce them and being slightly flexable in a high G Vibrating model aircraft it will last much longer than CA glue. CA is very expensive and is way to Hard n Brittle IMO for Rc Aircrafte

i bought a plane just like that from banana hobby and i hated the way it flew tail was always hanging lower than it shoulda been. A True to Scale 182 Skylark should have a flat wing with virually No Dihedral at all....
