Chungy562 That’s because the shad are bigger and smarter now. When the shad were small the stripers had them trapped in that cove, that’s why it was good to fish there every day. When the shad started growing they were able to defend themselves a bit more and they got out of there little by little. That’s why you see more Striper Boils now than you saw before.
@@18cristiangarcia That makes sense!🤔 when would it best to target Stripers? We saw some boils yesterday but mostly Bass and they didn't really stick either. Haha
This time of year is the easiest time to catch Striper, they just eat so much. There are many ways to catch them but I would recommend you throw a top water lure. Especially on a hot day. Even if they aren’t boiling cast your lure and don’t give up sooner or later you’ll find a school.

Yo uso línea de 6, 10, y 30. Con la línea del 6 y 10 uso lumbrises y pescados de plásticos. Con la del 30 uso figuras de la marca Lucky Craft y Mega Bass.

Abel Delgado I won’t be fishing soon. I’ve been scouting for buck and hunting seasons are now opening so the next few weeks I’ll be dedicating time to hunting. Once I’m back to fishing maybe we can go one day.
JigginWithDom Probably at castaic. Cut bait would be best but if you don’t like playing the waiting game try swim baits. Try different spots until you find a school. If you don’t get bites it’s probably not your fault. Quail pyramid and castaic lake have been getting their water level changed and that messes up the stripers routine. The fish get used to a certain water level and when the lake gets the water level changed it slows down the bite.
