They actually need to talk more about middle east instead. They promoting Africa region is kinda weird... Since European scholars from africa came mainly from NORTHERN AFRICA. The arab region.. 😅. Africa is for the resources, middle east for the scholars.

One thing I found interesting from that "hidden Clip" that you found - the Train that went past? It had a variety of different carriages! Not just oil tankers!

I’d love the ability to build trenches or recessed alcoves for trains. Imagine how beautiful it would be, houses and shops on eitber side of the gap, a smoky train down below, and a bridge stretching across.

Something in the vein of how the buildings are composed for Frostpunk with the sort of automated machines walking around would be pretty cool. Would also love a fictional steampunk area, but that is probably wishful thinking.

I really hope it's a substance CDLC, even if they price it a bit higher. Would love to see it covering more than just a tier or 2 of residential buidlings, all buildings get alternatives for OW/NW and maybe even some Steampunkish additions to Enbesan buildings. Vehicle skins, of course, and plenty of new decorations.

My hope for the game is that is includes sort of war mechanics in the mix of civ and total war jet completely in the spirit of anno games and real time strategy, tactics. Additionally, the map should be huge that allows to create an empire/country eventually, and battle for dominance with others in the anno games spirit.

I would be surprised as well if the next cDLC will bring us new steampunk residential skins / buildings pack. I guess we don't have much to wait anyway. And 2024 is just around the corner. In a way I was hoping for some more freight and passenger trains that were actually gameplay elements and not just decorative / skins, but maybe with a future installment this could become a possibility. For now I think for sure we will get some more freight train skins, and some steampunk like decorations or buildings. Well see.

We know for a fact that no new gameplay content is coming for 1800... only cosmetics. The team is focused almost exclusively on the next game coming out in a year or two and they don't have the resources to do both.

I am just waiting for the next Anno. Sorry to say but I don't mind anymore about some cosmetic DLC. I would just love to get my hands on something completely new. Anno 1800 is now getting close to 5 years old and we did not even get an announcement for the next Anno. I would not be surprised if we have to wait another year after we get the announcement until the game is released. So I suspect at the earliest somewhere in 2025. That is 6 years! That is the longest wait ever since the start of the Anno series.

2025 is my guess as well... We know they are working on it and I expect an announcement sometime mid next year. We've had to wait so long because 1800 did so well and they kept putting out content for it. There's still a small team so they can't do everything at once!

@@TakaRU-vid Yeah, but if it is doing so well then you would expect that they can make the team a little bigger. All the previous Anno releases were 3 or 4 years appart. I understand that you can't do everything at the same time, and when you are releasing every year new DLC packs then there is less need to release something completly new after 3 year, but 6 years is the other extreme. Compared to other games is Anno 1800 now really looking outdated. And the reason it did so well is most likely that they went back to the basics of Anno and improved that concept. 2205 was really a deviation from the original serries.

As much as I would love that I'm not sure how different it would be from 1800 honestly... The 19th century and steampunk stuff are heavily related and I don't see a lot of difference other than how things look.

The best part of ANNO city builders games is the possibilitie to create logistic to support high population. A deception in ANNO 2205 and great in ANNO 1404 and ANNO 2070. What do you think about in ANNO 1800?

You said it was initially "CDLC J4 Teaser", and not "14 Teaser". The first wasn't wrong, and still isn't. Buildings up through the 1800's or later not rarely replace the 1 of the first year into a J, making 1800 into J800. But yeah, excellent video, thanks for sharing all the tidbits of info.

I REALLY, really ReALLY, hope they fix the war mechanics. Competitor- " I need your help, I'm at war!" (forces you into war) 5 seconds later. "Competitors have agreed to a ceasefire"... There should at least be an option to strategize war plans with allies... Also there should be an advanced competitor who isn't a social path.

Had to pause to ask this. It's obviously Morse Code. The way you talk about it was some deep mystery that AnnoVerse had to put their best minds together to crack. Did AnnoVerse really need to look that deeply to realise it's Morse Code? I mean it's right there in the video, morse code. In the trees. I mean it can't have taken that long to figure it is a url even, there are literally 3 repeating symbols at the beginning, dash dot, dash dot, dash dot. I don't know Morse but if that isn't 3 Ws, I'll eat my entire wardrobe.

Nah they realized it was morse code on the stream within like 5 seconds. But most people on stream weren't talking on Discord as well and there was some confusion at first on Discord (not everyone was watching the stream) as to what they were even talking about. Then there was a LOT of confusion bc of the whole CDLCJ4 or CDLC14 thing.... basically it took a little while longer than it should have because some people were reading into the misspelling in Morse Code and a community manager had to come in and clear it up lol

So another 3 cosmetic dlcs, they spend a year or more on these things but say they cant take time to adapt all the real gameplay dlcs to consoles, sigh.. If its memory limitations, their game engine isnt optimized for streaming from ssd maybe. They put so many lil animations for esch building etc,,maybe put effort into the gameplay and optimization for console. What's these steampunk images u showed if not a teaser for the secret dlc..

Hope they fixed the campaign to actually make it HELPFUL. I don't need hand holding but this campaign teaches NOTHING helpful like how to bounce back from negative income etc. Or how to get farther reach of places and roads etc.

Anno 1800 already finished, man... 😅 Move on. We just need to wait for their next anno games. I hope it gonna be World War era or the remake of medieval one like 1404. But medieval remake gonna be neutral. Not focusing on christian Europe. That means, u can focus on arabian muslim one. That means need more productions and stuff for them. Medieval era is all about arab Muslims. Not Christian Europeans. Hope the objectives gonna be like.. attracting intellectual people for the Muslim civilization. Like in anno1800. And for ppl who confuse, we got this in anno2070. Eco vs tycoon. 2 different factions with a whole different complete needs and specialties. And the tech faction one is basically typical second civilization in 1404, 1800

Takes time to develop a new game! They have been working on it for less than a year right now. Everyone wanted so much Anno 1800 content and they only have so many people on the team.

They are... They announced last year they were making a new game. This isn't even DLC, it's just a couple of artists on the team making some extra cosmetics.
