You've got an amazing collection! In a video about TMNT toys/collectibles the one thing that jumped out at me was that Playmates Savage Dragon. I need to grab one of those!
Dude no one ever talks about those! We just recorded episode 3 of the podcast last night and I bring those figures up. Also, early Savage Dragon is straight up amazing. I think it was the best of all the founding Image comics.
@@noyougrowup69 I saw a full line of those figures at a shop in Greenville, SC last year and passed on them because I picked up a TMNT Sewer Layer and didn’t want to do any more damage to the wallet that day. I have kicked myself since. I won’t make that mistake again though 😁. I also agree - Savage Dragon was my favorite early Image comic.
This has to be the greatest TMNT Collection I've ever seen. Btw, I'm currently working on my own TMNT show and I've written 6 scripts so far and drew 50+ characters. I am trying to get this show in production within the next few years with Paramount and Nickelodeon. Maybe someday you'll have my version of the TMNT as figures. Turtlemania is back. 🐢💡🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Man, that computer area setup is so freakin' sweet! This whole room looks great, but that part in particular just looks so rad. Also, cool to see Super 7 Mondo can stay in the pose I always liked to put his vintage figure in.
I feel like there's a good chance that was a straight up accident on Super7's part haha. I'm pumped about the computer set up as well. It's a pleasure sitting here replying to you guys.
@milkchan7679 Thanks dude! That's awesome he was one I wanted so bad as a kid so I could fill him with stuff. Always had to play with my friends filled with regular water though.
Fantastic collection!! I'm pretty limited, I have a 4' x 5' patio closet I hide in, and it has my Super7 TMNT collection, and my Marvel Legends Symbiote collection. I also do my dioramas and rc shenanigans in there, so it's a real estate nightmare. Your upgrades are killer, the collection is looking stellar. Well done!
Dude send me some pics I'm honestly interested to see that setup. I would kill to have any type of artistic talent, dios are something I'm very interested in but I can't imagine I could ever make something myself that is fit for anywhere other than the trash haha. Thanks for all the kind words as well dude!
Man, that collection is incredible. Very "RU-vid worthy" and can hopefully propel your channel because that's one sick backdrop. Love the spacing and overall arrangement of your figures. Really makes the display look clean. I feel like a lot of toy collectors just have their figures kinda standing still doing nothing, which I can't blame them for when space is an issue, but I really like how it looks like you took your time posing each figure and making them look dynamic and full of personality. It's something I try to strive for with my collection as well.
Dude thank you for noticing all of that. I try to not over crowed and although a ton of figures aren't in the greatest of poses, I do try. Plus it's fun to play with figures and kind of find what works for each one.
@@noyougrowup69 Agreed. I just recently reposed my 1990 TMNT figures and Tokka and Rahzar and it's such a great feeling when you find the one pose that just works for you. I don't have the most space and while I'm not a fan of overcrowding either, I do at least try to have my figures in a poster-like formation so you can see everyone. But if I don't have the room, which I currently don't, I just rather leave some of my figures boxed like my SOTO 4-pack and Shredder, until I have the space or at least make some.
@@Turo602 you have it figured out man. At the end of the day, it’s different strokes for different folks but I will always feel how you do about displaying. Give’m space and let each figure be seen.
Hey man great channel. I'm 38 and I just started collection turtles and other toys but I'm really into turtles and after watching this video, you have shown me what more to buy.
@jasonmccann thanks dude! Glad you got into the hobby I've been having a blast for the last 5 years. Great time to get into collecting too there is so much stuff out there right now.
Awesome Collection! I collect all figures of Michaelangelo my favorite one and characters we didn't got from playmates like Zack and human Baxter and all the movie characters. I do get all figures of Slash and of course Shredder to remember James Avery. I hope we get Carter and Lord Dregg from the final Season.
I feel like they'll definitely put out Red Sky season figures eventually I feel like there is nothing out of the question at this point. I'm surprised to learn how many people actually did watch those seasons.
Awesome TMNT display set up. Both the Neca and Super 7 sections look great as the center of your collection. I'm stoked to see your future X-men display video
Just filmed this intro for the opening video before this. My X-Men display is about to get a huge shot in the arm. Can't wait to get that area reset it's been a disaster for like a month and a half.
just watched this while eating, amazing content! very high quality, started my collection today and i bought a “last ronin” figure at target, it was 40$ i was like “dangggggg!!”
Such a great collection dude. All the Super7 stuff especially looks incredible displayed like that. Can't wait for the Not Leonardo review, been trying to get ahold of one myself lately.
Thanks dude! I got mine off of 5K Toys but he's not up on there anymore. It's the first time I've ever ordered anything from somewhere other than BBTS or EE and I was a little worried but they were actually super fast and it came well packaged.
I would kill to still have the whole display. Someone posted an old picture of one sitting in a store in a group a few months back but I'm yet to ever see a full one in anyone's collection.
@@noyougrowup69’m shocked there aren’t any repros available but that does make having at least a part the OG cutout that much more special - on top of the fact your grandpa got it for you, of course 👌🏾👍🏾
Dude your turtles collection is on point! I like the podcast, I could listen to you guys talk about turtles all day long. Keep up the good stuff broski! 🤘😁👍
@@noyougrowup69 Nice. It’s weird how I have seen turtle stuff. But most I guess of what you got was from online and cons. I don’t do much in online and don’t have the means to go to cons.
I saw the full video, and I have to say the SH Figuarts are a staple of my collection. I recall finding the MIKEY SH Figuarts @ a GameStop, 3 years ago for $30.00.
It looks like you had Lego Goblin glider hanging from the ceiling. Also your display is really making me regret not pick it up some of that Turtle variants from Playmates and Super7
It's the Lego Batman Movie Batwing but now I'll never be able to unsee it as one of the giant glider attachments from the Spider-Man animate series haha. The Super7 stuff you can probably snag cheaper than it originally retailed for. It's an over produced line at this point. But I love it...
Dude, this is a really impressive collection. Yeah, you should get rid of some of your other toys and focus on TMNT. I was a big MOTU fan as a kid, and I liked all sorts of toys even though I grew up really poor and couldn't afford them. I remember the first time I saw anything TMNT, it was in the local Hobby Shop. They had a lot of Dungeons and Dragons stuff, and they had a small role playing game for TMNT. I just looked it up to see if I could find the book that I remember as a kid, and I found it instantly on Google. It was called "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness," and that came out in 85, and it was probably around then or 86 that I saw it. They also had pewter figurines of the Turtles, bigger than the D and D ones, and I bought a Leonardo for like 2 bucks. One day, I went into Toys R Us and these same strange Turtles were on display in action figure form, and there was like a huge half an isle of these things. I freaked out. But I had no money and had to work out some money so I could go get one. I had a really tough time deciding which Turtle to get first, but I settled on Raphael. Before I could make it back to the toy store, Saturday morning rolled around, and the first episode aired on TV, and well, you could imagine my excitement.
I think that's what I'm going to do here in the next few months. I've been thinking about it for a long time and I definitely want to expand my TMNT display space. I would love to get my hands on that OG table top game it's literally the first piece of TMNT licensed merchandise that was ever produced. Serious collectors item. Raph is always the best choice dude.
@stevenbetge6538 it's funny you say that because if I started over from the beginning I would go with white shelves haha. I feel like figures pop in them a bit more. Black is just generally more aesthetically pleasing to me when it comes to shelves which was why I went that route.
@rasyma1174 appreciate that dude! But if you want to see some collections that put mine to shame, check out Ed's Retro Geek out he has some tours with European collectors that are well far, far beyond mine.
I just wanna say thank you for giving your input on the shfiguarts tmnt set. I have literally every version of the turtles and always over looked the s.h set. I bought them because of your opinion and wow they are amazing! I cant believe how slept on these are. In hand they are up there with the best. Thanks again dude...
@dmj370z dude that is so awesome to hear. You’re like the 3rd person to say that about the S.H.F. Turtles and it’s crazy you guys care enough about my opinion to grab them and even cooler you’ve all been so stoked on them. Glad I could help you get some fun figs in your hands!
Got a question for ya if you don’t mind. So the undercover cloth line. 2 of the turtles come with the infrared Googie Goggles in colors blue and yellow. I have a pair of black ones but I can’t find anything on the black ones anywhere. Exactly the same just black. Any ideas? I appreciate your time
@jimmygunz6762 honestly man I've never even seen those myself. Go check out @ShellbackToyRewind he knows a ton about grails, variants, accessories, etc. for the OG Playmates line. Lots of good info on his channel and I bet if you reach out to him he'd hit you back.
@McServers2000 negative I don't go after a ton of stuff outside of actual figures. I do have a lot of the pops but that's as far as I've branched out. If money wasn't the issue, I would be all over them.
Love the new setup! You got me wanting to rearrange mine but mine is not nearly as extensive. 😂 I may be biased but the logo looks cool as shit on the desktop like that!
Your collection is still the cleanest ive seen anywhere man! Its funny you had mentioned alot about the original movie NECA figures, I just recently got my first one on wednesday, It is Leonardo and I bought him at a comic shop i traveled 10 hours to get to, was my first comic book shop experience and it was awesome, managed to get the sewer samurai Leo from Super7 aswell, was so happy I didnt have to order him
Dude that is crazy I'm lucky enough to have a ton of shops within an hour of me not to mention straight up toy stores. That first movie Leo and all those turtles are perfect. They're as life like as anything I've ever seen in that scale.
@@noyougrowup69 I have to agree with you on that 100%, and Ill have to find some time to come down to Indiana in the near future and go to that Kokomo Toys shop you have been to, it looks awesome and has alot of the other versions of the Turtles I love so much
Technical one year haha. I'll always count when I first uploaded in July as my true one year but I'm going to talk about all of that more in depth at some point.
Awesome video, dude! Probably moving to a bigger home with the wife this year and I’m excited because I still have all my NECA TMNT movie/toon figures in the boxes still. Been thinking of what to do display wise so I have to ask what kind of shelves those are! Do the figures give you trouble at when posing them? Anything fall at all?
@jacobniehaus Dude I typed out this response at work and must have had to do some actual work and accidently left the page without hitting reply first haha. But these are just cheap $30 shelves from Walmart and unless you're on a tight budget, I wouldn't recommend them. The shelves with comics definitely bow now and I've had them tip over a couple of times. My girlfriend and I plan on moving in the next few years as well and I'm going to upgrade to Billy's form IKEA they seem to be the best of what I've seen. They are a bit more expensive but have more shelves and I'm assuming are a higher quality. I'm pretty good at finding the center of gravity for poses and I don't really have anyone in too crazy of action poses just because I have a lot of figures on each shelf and like to have some breathing room. Some of my big hair X-Men females take a dive once in a while but that's about it.
@@noyougrowup69 Hey thanks for this dude! I’ve currently got a little side shelf I was using for my 1/4th scale 1990 figures and the movie figures I had from GameStop but after I inherited the SDCC 2017 8-pack from the 1987 last year - I went as all in as I could so far now with the Toon line. Kind of picking and choosing what speaks to me. I’ll look into those IKEA shelves! I have the Kallax for all my records so definitely familiar with IKEA stuff. Heh. With my wife and I’s two cats, I might try to look into something with a glass case too … but the Detolf’s just seem to small. Also side note, I subscribed to the podcast and I LOVED your review on the Super7 line. Can’t wait for more episodes!
Oh nice man always happy to get people over to the audio version. Took way more work to start that and figure out how it all works than my RU-vid channel did, so it's cool people are excited about it. Kallax seem to be the go-to for Omnibus and stature collectors as well. IKEA seems to have most collectors covered. That's an insane set to inherit I don't have any comic con sets before the Musical Mutagen Tour set came out. Did you just get the figures or do you have that rad case too?
@@noyougrowup69 Hey! Sorry for the delay on this! Can’t wait to check out episode 3 of the show soon too. And yeah! I actually got the carrying case that came with it too. It’s a bit of a sad story as my younger brother passed at 29 in 2021 and him and I loved TMNT. He collected a lot more different franchises as well, but TMNT was always our big thing together. That’s why originally I was just the movie stuff, but those toon figures were so cool, I ended up just going all in on the figures that meant the most to me. Thanks again for the great content dude and I can’t wait to see this channel grow!
@geovannilugo5435 I have the 4-pack I'm keeping in package and I just got my two packs that I'm going to open. Pretty excited to do that opening video.
@kelmangregoriobosquez5892 Los míos los compré casi todos en una juguetería usada, en Kokomo Toys and Collectibles y también en Ebay. El precio varía bastante, pero muchas cifras cuestan entre 20 y 30 dólares.
@nicolasrubio9623 I actually really enjoy it. I've ran through it a couple times and it's a fun series. I love the serious action when they go white eyed it was a nice juxtaposition to the goofier tone of the show, which I do also enjoy.
Looks absolutely amazing collection and you’ve really inspired me to keep growing mine. Do you buy two of the same figures and take one out for display or do you buy some figures already out the box?
You're the second person to hit me with "inspired" today and I can't explain how awesome it is to hear it every time... Doubling up depends... the NECA Movie line I have doubles of almost all the two packs. I'm doubled up on the NECA Usagi and both the NECA Ronins. All the Super7 stuff I just got doubles of because they were so cheap. So it's very few and far between and just for the stuff I really, really love.
@@noyougrowup69 also I’ve got all my NECA stuff still in the box. My girlfriend doesn’t believe in taking things out of their box so now I can justify buying the figures again and doing some sort of display :)
@@dannytello89 dude if anyone ever recognized me in real life, I promise I would be more excited to meet someone subscribed to me than they would be to meet me, the person they’re subscribed to. I would ask for a pic with them and I would post it everywhere haha.
As a huge turtle fan my entire life I want to start a collection of my own. where would you guys recommend starting where would you recommend buying from
@@noyougrowup69 I like the retro vibe of the old stuff I’d like to just make a display in my man cave area really 🤣 nothing as cool as yours. Wondering where best places to shop are for these things
@@noyougrowup69 and hey man check out the Vforce grills “ cowabunga “ series the company did turtle themed paintball mask for each turtle shredder and splinter limited runs Very sick
@@revoslawter3628 if you have any local toy shops in your area that’s the best place to start. It’s not always the case, but I get better deals there than eBay. They being said, I’ve gotten lot off eBay myself. Be patient and try to get things through auctions that usually how you get the best deals on there.
Nice! I collect a ton of other stuff as well. MMPR is probably my 3rd favorite thing I collect after X-Men. Are you going in on the Jada Street Fighter stuff?
@@noyougrowup69 I think so, because then I went and watched your Kokomo video. I have been trying to get over there for a while but something else always pops up. Been a Star Wars collector for a long while, but recently got back into TMNT with a bit of nostalgia and my daughter having the new film be her first movie going experience! Always good to run into a Hoosier though!
Cool collection, so the turtle lairs coming up. I have no room for these. Are you going to try to fit them. ? I’m afraid I’ll just keep them stored if I bought them. But you know they’ll be nuts on the 2nd market! Just like the cartoon street & building 2 tiered display, what’s that $500
I’m definitely going to get all of them if they’re spaced out. If they all drop at once it will probably be living room only. I also have no room but I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it haha.
@@noyougrowup69 I think you have room, just remove your super 7s & fill up your new dioramas with turtles. & then you can put the 7s in the spot where you removed necas, but yeah I’m definitely getting 1. Either the living room or the lab. If not all 3 😂 toy addictions way better than crack &. Meth. Haul a thon dropped the ball & the baby turtles weren’t abundant enough for demand but I’m sure Neca will have enough before the years up. I’m paralyzed & rely on on line orders. But enjoy your collection updates. Toys helped me through out my ordeal plus channels like these. Thanks
Good to hear how much these pieces of plastic do for you. Trust me, I get it. My biggest concern space-wise is if they'll even fit on my shelf. I can always take in package stuff off my shelf to make room as well. Regardless, I'm going to be in space danger by the end of this year haha. Also, I'm pretty sure NECA said there's more accessory packs coming. Not sure if that meant ready to order or if they're doin an open preorder.
@@noyougrowup69 yeah I’m sure these cute little guys will be in abundance soon, I remember the turtles in disguise was hard to find. But Neca dropped some on their site summer of 21’ 🤔 I think
@@vadoraid2517 I mean if they know they can make more money they’d be crazy not to. I feel like they definitely just underestimated the demand for this set.
I've got one of the new tnmt toys and I've not opened it but it's the wrong ninja turtle in the box! It says half pipe rc Donnie and has him all over the box but inside is Leonardo just trying to find out what it's worth 2:49
@timbogle3751 I imagine there are a group of collectors who really seek out error packaging and stuff but as far as what they would pay for it, I couldn't tell you.
