Mega Manor Lords Build episode 10!
The big Manor Lords update is here and with it a brand new lets play from me where I am going to build up to serious size!

About Apiaries. Tacticat's recent video talks about them and I agree with his views since I had similar experiences. They don't work as described. TL;DR version. They only thing that is true is that 1 worker is all that is needed. I think he said each hive gathered 5+/-, honey each month. Otherwise put down as many as you wish. Just use 1 fam per hive. You can put down as many as you like and tbh, they do okay once they get started. They are definitely a better option compared to eggs. The only downside is they require a family. I don't feel they're a good early game option because of the return on the investment into them however, when you have those extra families you have no idea how to use, Apiaries. Now. You could use try assigning your egg families to your apiaries. Eggs will stil be terrible however, late game when you need those extra foods, those egg families won't be leaving a major core job to grab 1 egg. I just thought of doing this so I may try it myself later today. Great video as always! 🖖 Cheers.

Yea, I have started placing a bunch at it seems to be giving loads of honey now! They are a bit rubbish if it's only 2 that work though I would say! Cheers

Your little township has gotten friggin' H*U*G*E! I'm having trouble keeping one area functioning as it closes in on 200 perps.... How can you keep track of what everyone's doing, what everyone needs, etc. by yourself? You're not using AI to run this are you? Looking great and I'm still loving it.

LOL, I used to play lots of RTS and was pretty good at it a fair few years ago. I think that definitely helps with keeping on top of it all

Once you reach a certain pop you should have enough people to cover all the basic needs. Storage workers Farmers (if applicable) Artisans (remember these take workers from your pop so if you are short fams to build or use during farming, you have too many artisans.) Biggest thing to think about is, don't grow too fast. Most of these games provide you with "goals" to reach for the next Tree Point or access to better military etc but, you DON'T have to do that immediately. They can sometimes make you "feel" like "OMG YES! Next LEVEL!", but you don't have to Leroy Jenkins into that. Build up food and resources for your next milestones. Just because 200 veg sounds great at 100 pop by 200, it's a totally different game. You can most certainly have a system that runs itself but accomplishing that at a higher tier of town takes time and a LOT of micro management early game. A lot. lol (also easier to micro manage a small town vs 100+ just very tedious. )
