Just amazing work and so fast. Your boys are the best workers I think I've ever seen. I do remember working at a privately owned sawmill here in Saskatchewan all winter when I was 17 too, but that's many years ago already. But I've also noticed they have no fear of heights, makes me dizzy just watching them walking around on those timbers. Take care and may God keep blessing your whole family. I see that Wyatt was wearing ear protection. I don’t see any of the rest of you using it. As a professional that has worked decades with the deaf and hard of hearing, the frequency of the power tools and chain saws will destroy your hearing over time. The first to go is speech recognition. Please wear ear protection and eye protection.

The first time I ran a Makita Beam Saw was back in 83 up in Monument Eastern Oregon I was building this huge Custom Home on the bend of the North Fork of the John Day River. I hope the owner are still there, a great couple with twin teen High School daughters. Was almost done when Sharon the owner came in and asked us to do something about this gaunt blind cow that was fortunately just across the narrowest part of the river being on a pretty tight bend. The cow was going around and around in circles. I guess from being blind and being so close to the river and hearing nothing but the water gushing it drove her crazy. She'd spin in circles until she'd fall, get back up again and spin in more circle until she fell, over and over. I told Sharon the only humane thing to do was borrow her boat her 30-30 and put her out of her misery. She told us to go ahead and do that and we could have the meat. So we did. I had a tear in my eye and couldn't pull the trigger so I handed the rifle to Gary and told him to do it. We split the meat 50/50 but it was the Beam Saw that brought back a memory I haven't thought of in many years. I'm choked up right now typing this, poor cow didn't deserve all that misery I am sure. Meat was good though. Thanks Harvey and Sharon. Dang, that was 41 years ago, two years before I moved to Fairbanks Alaska. Thanks y'all, for a great video, as usual. GODSPEED!
