Join us for a HUGE Universal Studios Great Britain news update! Universal Destinations & Experiences have now revealed their site master plan for the proposed theme park and resort in Bedford, United Kingdom. Back in December Universal confirmed that they had purchased 480 acres of land for a potential theme park and resort and this week more details have emerged about their plans on the official website. In this video I take a detailed look at the plans along with sharing all of the latest news!

You’ve clearly never been to universal Orlando! Rides are horrible! Fun if you love motion sickness and very few amazing rides like Disney! I would never go back to universal!

The uk really needs this. The standard of current theme parks in the uk is really underwhelming compared to what universal and disney have created over the years. Very exciting times! I also saw a clip yesterday of fences going up and construction equipment being unloaded at the site.

I'm excited for this. But I can't deny, I just can't imagine the UK getting a park at the level of Universal. The best we have are all Merlin based venues with virtually no theming at the level Universal provides. If this goes ahead I see it possibly knocking down one of the big 3. Merlin should be extremely scared.

Absolutely. In the South-West there is nothing of note other than naff local ones. Having been to European and US theme parks it pales in comparison. Alton Towers have finally upped their game lately but 5-6 years will fly by.

Would be silly for this not to go through, on the point about merlin, why would I drive 1hr 30 to Alton towers when its 1hr 52 to universal, I went to Orlando resort just under 12 months ago, I'd go back tomorrow, can't say the same for other parks in the uk

It's absolutely incredible to think that a Universal park of that calibre could be a 2 hour drive away. I'm bursting with excitement with every update. Orlando is amazing but an incredibly expensive holiday a long way away.

Omfg yes!! Come on please build this. I'd love to take my 3 boys to Halloween horror nights and to universal. We won't be able to get to florida it's too expensive but having our own universal in the UK and disney only the euro tunnel away is just perfect!!!!!

Omg yes, more news of Universal Studios in the UK?!😍🤩 I really do hope all plans go ahead and Universal get the green light to build a theme park here in the UK. It’s a good location you can see how they could expand with the potential to purchase more land in the future. It will be interesting to see how the local tourism market grows with hotels, attractions and experiences etc.

I love all the content of your videos and clips the way you have explained it which is great for someone like me reading the full 16 page official website. This is very well thought out and as you said surely they would not purchase the land if not going to build on it and must of had it accepted it a while ago by councils n stuff I can’t wait for this to open I’m 38 haven’t been on a rollercoaster for ages as I have been busy with work and finding other jobs sorting out my own house

I really hope it does move forward for a number of reasons. Some people for various reasons don’t/can’t go abroad but would love to go to 1 of these epic parks and the way the world is going and employment opportunities it will bring to the uk will be magnificent

This will be a great addition for the area. If they can get the mix of entertainments right for the winter weather and also have some budget hotel/ catering options to attract UK families, then this could be a big success.

I measured just the TP/TPS portion of the site to be about 3x thorpe park's main island. And if you measure just guest accessible areas' its similar to Alton Towers (no carpark/hotel) but my measurements might have been off

OMG Shawn I’m so envious of you younger generation having the thought of this amazing park being built on our doorstep. As I enter my 60th year the big coasters are getting a bit too much for my head to handle. I’m hoping to do epic universe next year. Doing the new land of jumanji this summer. Kempston hardwick was an old industrial estate. Had a say no to nuclear power statue on it for years lol, as they wanted to dump waste years ago.lol stewartby had a heavy brick making industry years ago.
