That's Jeremy Jordan at the beginning and he's certainly no slouch. He's got talent oozing out of him too. But, you can't blame Jackman for wanting to sing this one. I respect Jordan's response to just bow out gracefully too when Jackman started singing.

Can someone please tell me who the lady with the short blonde hair was? She absolutely slayed and sounded fantastic... really brought that church warmth with those amazing ad-libs... I see Jeremy caught the vibe aswell hitting that high note which blended fantastically... and then that ad-lib duet battle between Kaela and the blonde haired lady at the end was just soul in a bowl.

Coincidentally the singer that he took over from is none other than the amazing Jeremy Jordan. He's been on Broadway for quite some time but more recently he is Wynn from Supergirl. He also played Dolly Parton's grandson in Joyful Noise.

Hugh Jackman is such a beautiful man. I’m not just talking about looks, though there is that. He’s got this wonderful personality and a passion for everything he does. And I love the fact that his wife is thirteen years older than him and they’ve made their relationship work for over twenty years. That’s a challenge even in the best of circumstances. I saw this with my fiance and it was so amazing and touching and it just shows how dedicated he is to music and EVERYTHING he does. At the bit where he touched his nose, that was him cleaning blood off from the stitches coming out, he had to go back to the E.R. directly after this, his doctor was not too thrilled with him.

This so incredibly amazing. I love him more than anything and this workshop just shows how much he loved this and how passionate he was about this entire thing. And the guy that was singing for him was over the moon thrilled with this.

Trust, he was not being critical of Jeremy's version of the song...in fact he was doing it just like Hugh had been doing it. They rehearsed together. You do know who Jeremy is, right?

Have you seen Hugh in Oklahoma?? The London production was broadcast on PBS some time ago. He was ridiculous. At that time, I had no idea he was a musical guy. And, if you have not seen it already, I totally recommended you watch Cynthia Erivo (the short lady blonde lady on the chair) in The Color Purple as Celie. Her performance of "I'm Still Here" KILLS!

went and saw the movie three times and got chills every time, this should go down in the top 3 musicals of all time it was so amazing choked me up every time as well just wanted to get up in the cinema and start dancing and singing . I also saw Hugh Jackman in "The Boy From Oz" and he was amazing makes you proud to be Australian I'm dieing for it to come out on Ultra HD so i can watch it over and over again but the crazy thing is it's not released Bluray or Ultra HD in Australia until 30th of June it is going to kill me the wait alonebut hey it will be worth itwould do anything to meet the cast and thank them for making such an extraordinary movie. I’m so glad you reacted to this, Phil. I love the way the room became energized when Hugh began to sing! He is so incredibly talented, and has so many dimensions. 60 minutes did a piece on him when Les Mis came out and I was amazed then at the work he puts into his part then. I have to see this movie, and soon!
